About: 11+ years of personal experience with cats and dogs and also grew up with both cats and dogs in home. Now live in a super comfortable house in Lake Oswego with 1 dog, 1 cat and 2 kids under five. I work full time from home so am flexible with when I can visit or board a pet. Plenty of time to walk your animal or spend time with them while we hang inside. I have 2 large patios for lounging and live on a quiet street, which is perfect for taking a long walk. Love spending time and cuddling with animals.
“Whitney is incredible! She dropped in to walk our two dogs twice a day while we were out of town. She was very thorough with her check ins and I felt great leaving them in her hands. Would highly recommend Whitney!”

“Justin has been nothing short of amazing!!! From going above and beyond to take our packages inside to being our puppy’s new bff and reading all of her queues we are SO thankful to have found him!!!”

“Tanya was amazing! She responded right away and was great with our dog. She even went above and beyond to stop by and meet us earlier in the day. We would definitely use her again.”

“Lucinda provided my puppy, Chaco, the best care while I getting settled into my new job. She insured Chaco was given lots of attention and love. And took the time to leave the best report cards ever! She was very responsive and always on time. I would highly recommend her and will definitely be using her in the near future.”

About: I have grown up with cats and dogs, two dogs and 4 cats over my lifetime. Both outdoor indoor pets and I am very active with them. Pets need love and support from us as much as we need it from them. I spent three years volunteering at the Oregon zoo working with animals. I am flexible and creative, easily adapting to pet's needs. I am also patient and calm with them. I have loved animals since I was a kid. I refused to hit a piñata at a party because it was animal shaped. I will love your pets as if they are my own. I am always happiest when I am around pets. I work from home on a salaried basis, so my schedule is flexible. Especially from early morning until 3pm. I can do quick drop ins and/or long stays if they need a little interaction. I pay attention to location of plants, making sure they are out of reach and not a hazard to pets. I make sure all toys left out are safe, not too small to chock on. Making sure toys don't have anything to tangle up with. I'll watch to make sure pets don't eat too fast and get sick.
“We really appreciated Kira taking care of our boy while we were out of town. With her help, we were able to have a worry-free trip while receiving daily updates on how he was doing.”

“Sydney is excellent. She was very reliable and loving to my kitty. She also helped with cleaning up messes he made and being willing to help out with extras we needed while gone. Highly recommend.”

“Angela was awesome! She came over to meet my cat and set my mind at ease for my trip. I had just moved to OR from CA and was worries I wouldn’t be able to find a sitter, and I loved that she sent me pics of my sweet kitty. She was both professional and courteous.”
“Rachel we awesome! She helped me out of a pinch and was able to do a drop in for me last minute. She played fetch with my little guy and gave him good attention! Very happy with her communication and all went wonderful!”

“Did an exemplary job looking after our cats — they loved her, they were obviously perfectly taken-care-of, and our apartment may actually have been cleaner than we left it. Having Christa catsit for us is a decision we feel great about and are eager to repeat.”

About: I am a huge animal lover! I have a dog (a labradoodle) and have been pet/house sitting for friends and neighbors since elementary school. I have cared for a wide variety of dogs, including both large and small breeds, high-energy dogs, and puppies. I have experience with basic obedience training and giving medications. I have also taken care of cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, and chickens, and am always excited to meet new animal friends! As a recent college graduate, my schedule is very flexible, so I have a lot of time to devote to caring for your furry friends. I am happy to fill in for reoccurring services if necessary, but can't commit to anything long term right now. I'm here to keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy while you are away. I prioritize maintaining your pet's typical daily routines, and check-in with them frequently. If I'm house-sitting, I follow all rules and any special instructions, and am also happy to water plants, or collect mail, in addition to caring for your pet.
“Consistent communication, mishap on my part and she worked around it to make sure my boy was taken care of. Always cheerful and happy to come out check up on chief. 10/10 will request again.”

About: I enjoy connecting to animals not just watching them as they need TLC daily to know they’re loved and wanted. I do this by softly petting their fur or engaging in light indoor playfulness or hugging them while they lay there, so they feel the love:) In past I owned two dogs, 11y/o (he was 12 weeks old when we had him) and the other 8. Red heeler pittie mix and border collie mix. A few cats and even gerbils. I’m very attuned to their needs and feel them out by allowing them to adjust to me and read their energy to know how to engage. At this time I’m available 7 days a week open availability so if you’re planning to be away for a while I’d be happy to keep your fur babies company, with lots of affection and attention! I only care for pets outside my home however I have been a pet owner one was a Border collie mix and the other a heeler pittie. I owned a few cats and gerbils as well, in past. I’m very in tune if a pet needs attention for example with ears being cleaned or noticing more itching, which I can provide details as well of anything new noticed if you’d like.
About: I’ve had dogs (German Shepherds) my whole life. We had to say goodbye to our 13 year old Shepherd, Lucy, not too long ago. Since then we have really enjoyed dog sitting our friends’ dogs and thought we might as well sign up on Rover to help more people with their furry family members. I currently work from home all but two days per week and my husband works from home those days so we are available for multiple walks per day and lots of pet snuggles! We live in a safe, family friendly neighborhood on a cul de sac with minimal traffic, have a fenced yard, access to Mt. Park trails out our backyard and Tryon Creek State Park is a few minutes away. Our daughter is 10 and LOVES animals. All three of us are big time DOG LOVERS!
About: I’ve cared for my cats and dogs and my cousins’ tortoise & rats. I love all animals. I am a clean-freak, very detail oriented, responsible, and responsive. I have experience administering medications and love spending time with pets. I am staying with family this summer and have a very flexible schedule. I’m caring for my young cousins part time and would love to add in pet care. I have had cats and dogs my whole life and have been responsible for their care—walking the dogs, feeding, grooming, cleaning litter boxes—from as soon as I was able. I’m now in college and home for the summer. I am a neat-freak, very responsible, and can help with other needed chores like watering plants, taking in packages, etc. I’m happy to help.
About: My family has always had pets! Our last dog who was a Puggle (part Pug and part Beagle) named Pugsley lived for 19 years! He died a few years ago...and we miss him every day! We currently don't own any pets...because we want the flexibility to travel. I retired a year ago. We also had a cat named Beano...and he also lived until 19 years old. I don't necessarily have skills...except to love your pet to death! I'm currently retired and have a VERY flexible schedule. We don't own any pets right now...so it'd be really fun to have furry visitors! ROVER is really a good option because I can set my own schedule! We have a front and a backyard. We are not fenced...so if they are outdoors then I'll be sure to be with them...and make sure they are leashed.

“I have known David for the past 30 years, as he and his family are my next door neighbors. David and his family have had pets, both dog and cats, as long as I have known them. I think I remember that at one time he also worked or volunteered at the Metro Zoo. He is always friendly and enjoyable to talk with. I have trusted David to be in my house to care for my cats feeding and litter box cleaning while my wife and I are out of town. He even goes so far as to spend time socializing and playing with them during his daily visits. I will always consider reaching out to David first to watch my pets, and highly recommend him as a qualified and trusted pet caregiver to anyone.”

Heather P.
“For over 13 years, Heather was the most loving and attentive dog mom to our two dogs, Banksy and Kora. From the moment they came into our lives, she treated them with nothing short of unconditional love, care, and patience. Whether it was preparing their food just the way they liked it, taking them on long walks no matter the weather, or simply sitting with them when they were scared or sick, Heather always put their needs first. She has a natural ability to connect with animals… understanding their emotions, energy, and unspoken needs. Banksy and Kora always felt safe, calm, and incredibly loved in her care, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better person to help raise them alongside me. Heather would be an incredible pet sitter or dog walker for anyone lucky enough to book her. She’s reliable, nurturing, and treats every animal like family. I wholeheartedly recommend her through Rover… your pets will be in the best hands.”

Lake Oswego pet parents share their Rover experiences
Chloe was outstanding! She far exceeded our expectations in every way. We received great pictures and updates throughout our trip, which put us at ease. The best part? Coming home. Our pets were so calm and relaxed. After a week away they greeted us at the door just like normal. Proof in how well Chloe took care of them while we were away. What a gift Chloe's service was!
We have left our older pup with Terrall when we travel for over 3 years now, typically for a week or two at a time several times a year. He is always excited to see Terrall, the other pups, and have a yard to play in. Terrall is incredibly conscientious of all his meds, and his constantly changing protocols around exercise for his health. Terrall takes fantastic care of him!

Melissa cared for our three boy kitties while we were out of town recently. She was very reliable and timely in providing updates on her visits, but most importantly, I could tell she truly enjoys cats - even our shy boy came out and was seeking attention! Would absolutely recommend Melissa and will hire her again in the event we need a cat sitter.

I couldn’t be happier with choosing Molly to check on my cats while out of town. She provided great communication and updates, I didn’t have to worry about them with Molly around! I think my cats are ready for me to leave town again so they can see Molly again.

Cassandra did a wonderful job of taking care of our finicky kitties. She took lots of photos and left us a detailed report card each day. I know they were in good hands and she even managed our new auto wet food feeder. We will definitely reach out to her for future cat sitting.
