“We had the pleasure of having Katie over to walk our pup today. It was a very last-minute booking, and I fumbled the time, but Katie was able to accommodate a different time and went above and beyond. We messaged Katie the morning of letting her know that our pup wasn’t feeling well and special care instructions. She responded right away that she understood and that it was no problem. I received tons of photos from her while she was here and put me right at ease 🙏”

“Alyssa was amazing! She was thoughtful in her preparation visit, asking good questions to be prepared for any situation. During the visits, she spent a lot of time with our two cats and was good at respecting their personalities, working well with the social one and our less social one. We appreciated the detailed daily updates and pictures! She was also kind enough to water some outdoor flowers and left a newtoy for our cats! They will definitely be looking forward to seeing her again soon!”

“This is the first time Jessica has come to my house and was a last minute request on my part. She came as requested and kept me informed. My normally shy, hide in my bedroom, cat Pippen really hit it off with Jessica on the first day and enjoyed lap sitting and playing with her. I would definitely recommend Jessica.”
About: I have extensive experience working with a variety of dietary and medical needs of cats and dogs. While serving past clients I have worked with senior dogs and cats needing special food prep, and arthritis mobility assistance. With past clients I have administered oral and injected medications while following proper safety standards. My schedule is very flexible, and can fit a variety of care needs. Feel free to message me, and we can work something out. When I'm not taking my own pet out for adventures, I'd love to care for your fur babies! I am detail oriented, and have experience working with escape-prone pets, and keeping them safe. I love working with pets in clean environments, and believe that your pets deserve only the best care.
“Whitney is incredible! She dropped in to walk our two dogs twice a day while we were out of town. She was very thorough with her check ins and I felt great leaving them in her hands. Would highly recommend Whitney!”

“J Does a great job with my pup and yesterday was super helpful because she drilled him on his commands and helped get some kongs prepped. J is reliable and communicates well.”

“This was my first booking with Michelle, and our senior cat immediately decided she was a new friend. It was very reassuring to see how relaxed and comfortable he was while we were away. Michelle was prompt, communicative, and sent thorough updates after each visit. We came home to a calm, content cat and would happily book with her again.”

“Sierra was a fantastic sitter to my cats. She was friendly, attentive, responsive & timely and completed all care tasks really well! My cats appeared to enjoy her company too per the update photos! Would recommend & book with Sierra again!”

“Honestly the best experience I could have asked for and more! Heather did drop ins for my two doodles, and we already have another scheduled with her. She is so incredibly thorough, very responsive, sent lots of pictures and videos and I know Oliver and Bailey loved her! My husband and I have found it hard to trust someone with our dogs, but Heather made it so easy to. Can’t recommend her enough and will continue trusting her. 😊”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and a responsible pet owner myself, so I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust caring for your pet. I’m patient, attentive, and detail-oriented, and I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and preferences. As a pet owner, I’m experienced with daily feeding routines, cleaning, monitoring behavior and appetite, and making sure pets feel comfortable and safe. I know that even small changes in behavior can matter, so I pay close attention and will keep you updated while your pet is in my care. While I’m newer to professional dog sitting, I’m very comfortable following detailed care instructions and I take every pet parent’s preferences seriously. Whether your dog needs a walk, companionship, playtime, or simply someone patient to stay with them, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own pets. My schedule is currently quite flexible, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and sitting during weekdays, and I can often accommodate different times of day. I prefer to give each pet enough time rather than rushing through visits, so I will always do my best to follow your pet’s normal routine and schedule. Safety is always my first priority. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, household rules, and any special needs or behaviors. During walks and visits, I stay attentive to the pet and their surroundings and avoid unnecessary risks or interactions. In a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s space and the owner’s home. I also believe communication is very important, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing.
“Had great peace of mind that our dog was comfortable and safe with Camille. Dog was fed, let out to the bathroom, had a bit of playtime and everything was as we left it. Thanks again!”

“Reliable and great to work with. As a one time sit for us on vacation, she quickly at ease and the pups were happy as could be. I would happily ask her to sit again.”

“This was our first time hiring a pet sitter, let alone using Rover. We had considered hiring two other sitters previously, but decided against it because of poor communication or no shows. We found Brittaney and it was immediately a breath of fresh air. 🙏 She responded quickly, we were able to book with her last minute, she communicated in friendly, caring, and professional manner. While we were away, she sent us all kinds of pictures, spent time really trying to bond with our cats, and truly made us feel like they were in great hands. Not only is Brittaney excellent at what she does, but you can truly tell she has a passion for loving animals. I’d very much hire Brittaney again, and plan on it when the need arises. 🙏🙏”

“Danielle is great! She took such good care of my cat, Kali, who had never been left by herself! She also fed my fish, kept their water cool and watered my avocado trees!! Which are thriving! I will definitely use her again!!”

“I went on a long trip for 2.5 weeks and Rylie did an amazing job communicating with me during the entire trip! My cat was in good hands with her care and attention to detail and I’m very impressed with her services. Would highly recommend to anyone if you’re needing a pet sitter!”

“Ryan is a great dog sitter! I have trusted him for my 3 dogs’ care. I appreciate him for being helpful whenever he notices something. My dogs were comfortable around him. We want to ask him again!”

I'm very pleased with Melissa's approach on taking care of my kitty. She was patient and earned his trust quickly. She took extra care in spending time with him and did a great job in following instructions on feeding. I'm especially happy she took time to wash out the used cans, ready for recycling! When I returned home, he was in good spirits, thanks Melissa!

Dannielle was absolutely incredible with our two cats while we were away for Labor Day Weekend! We have a 15 year old cat who has several daily medications (both oral and topical) and Dannielle administered all of them with no issues! Not only that, but she gave her a “breakfast in bed” experience so she could eat where she was sitting comfortably. Dannielle played with our 1 year old cat, even giving her some delicious silvervine. We got so many pictures and videos of our babies, which was the highlight of our evenings while we were gone. Truly cannot recommend Dannielle enough, incredible sitter!!

Shelby was so great! My previous pet care fell through last minute and Shelby was very responsive and came to do a meet-and-greet with my senior kitty Aries. Shelby was very professional and took amazing care of my shy and timid kitty, could not recommend her more!

Brittaney is such a kind, attentive, and caring pet sitter. She handled my fur babies with distinctly different needs and play styles and made sure they both felt loved and cared for in the way that they prefer and sent pictures and videos of their adventures. I would recommend Brittaney for anyone looking for a true animal lover to watch over their fur babies.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
