About: Although I’ve only ever owned outdoor farm cats that were adopted from the humane society, I’ve loving cared for and enjoyed cats that were in home or even indoor/outdoor cats. About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.

About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

About: I have a very positive personality that I bring out in all work that I do. I am a practicing Speech Language Pathologist with a 3 year old pup of my own—Louie. I have taken care of pets through rover, as well as used it for my own pet care needs. About: Growing up, my family was very pet oriented! Mainly dogs and cats, but also a few other creatures. Growing up with animals taught me the basics, and as time moved on I honed my skills and learned to listen to animals and respect their boundaries. When I was in my teenage years, my parents had a couple litters of puppies that I would take care of a majority of the time. They were my favorite memories, and I will still tell anyone that will listen that their tiny ears were like velvet. We began training the pups before they were adopted, and I have trained quite a few dogs in some areas; my shining achievement so far is my dog balancing a treat on her nose- yet only for a few moments before she gets excited and flicks it off to eat it. In high school I volunteered at my local animal shelter, my duties there were help with cleaning and socializing animals, and talking with people about the animals I knew and helped them get adopted. I have also pet sat for different friends and families over the years, and have heard positive feedback each time! I have a motivation and passion to keep animals happy, and will go to great lengths to ensure their happiness. :) I am a currently a student at Chemeketa! Note: I work full-time, so a little flexibility with visit times is appreciated. I provide pet care only in clients’ homes for two reasons: I want pets to be in the comfort of their familiar environment and I have two cats of my own that are territorial. Your pets’ safety, trust, and well-being are my top priorities, and I want to make sure they feel loved, comfortable, and cared for while following their usual routines.

They were given lots of time, affection, and fun, as well as special attention and grooming. They were with him because I was in the hospital for a medical procedure that went longer then expected. For me Peter's flexibility with my situation and the confidence he inspired made leaving my doggies in his hands in an already stressful time for me a peaceful decision. The frequent updates and pictures we received were amazing, they went above and beyond, and we felt so reassured that Piggy was in good hands. I was sent lots of photos and updates, as requested. During drop off, Spence willingly walked back with Manisha, which he usually never does at daycare. “Ron is the first non-Shiba-breeder person who we boarded our Shiba boy with, and Tanuki was well taken care of by Ron! Emma and Ron were able to loosen up Tanuki after an evening, and Tanuki really appreciated being able to lounge on furniture and beds. Being worried parents, we were comforted by Ron’s regular updates on our boy. We’re all very happy to have Ron to send Tanuki to for short trips!”
