“So happy to have come across Jennifer and Eric before boarding our pup. Seeing photos of him snuggling their kids and knowing he was being loved on all week gave us so much peace of mind while we were on vacation. Thank you guys so much!”

“Everything went so well! My dog loved Barbara’s huge backyard and comfy sofa. I loved the great care my pup got, including a chance to sleep in the big bed. Pictures and updates a couple of times a day let me know all was well. Thank you Barbara!”

“We highly recommend Shari! From our meet and greet to the drop off and pick up, she was wonderful. Our dog Izzie, who can get anxious and nervous, was given the attention she needed, especially in a place she had never been before. So happy to have decided to try Rover.com and to find Shari. Maura and Joel”

“Susie was excellent! Very responsive in messaging. Also very flexible as far as plans. Our dog had a safe and happy stay with her. We would definitely work with Susie again!”

“She is very lovely and caring person, and she took care of our dog very well. Roseinda was sending a lot pictures of our dog and making sure he is getting well taking care. Thank you for your great service, we appreciate that!”

“Dottie has watched over our dog Maya a few times now. Maya always comes back tired, which is a good sign of lots of playtime and fun at Dottie’s. Last time she was boarded there she practically tried to jump out so excited to see Dottie!”

“This was Thumper’s second stay with Michelle. He was very excited when we arrived which was a true test on his connection with Michelle. When I picked him up he acted as if he would have liked to stay longer. It is great to see that he has bonded with Michelle!”

“Angelique did a great job w Sammy. He got lots of walks, photos of both inside hang time and outdoor adventures. He was always with a human to oversee activities. Photos were keepers! Really well done. Thanks Angelique. We'll visit again in the future.”

“From the moment my two dogs met Peter they loved him. He is so good with doggies! The pictures he sent me showed just how happy they were with his family. They were given lots of time, affection, and fun, as well as special attention and grooming. They were with him because I was in the hospital for a medical procedure that went longer then expected. For me Peter's flexibility with my situation and the confidence he inspired made leaving my doggies in his hands in an already stressful time for me a peaceful decision. I would clearly recommend him!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was so happy to find someone like Alexis to care for my dog over Christmas weekend. She was easy to communicate with and friendly during the drop off. She sent me text and photo updates each day. My dog has been napping ever since I picked her up so I know she was well cared for. I will definitely book with Alexis again!”

“Alexis and Jacob were very friendly. I think they took great care of LeeLoo. She seemed very relaxed with them. I will definitely use them next time we need a sitter.”

“This was my first time leaving my pup since adopting him earlier this year. We did a meet and greet with Juliann and her family to make sure it would be a good fit all around. Marty is a timid and skittish dog and they tried to make him feel comfortable. I am sure it was challenging, especially given his love for walks and the extreme heat. Juliann was great with communication and provided pics and updates during his stay.”

“It was Choco first time staying with Katie S. She was sharing all the updates with us during the stay when appropriated. I can tell Choco is very happy ( his happy face ). Thank you for giving him such a loving and caring. We are truly appreciated your help.”

“We still cannot get over how amazing Saawan and Kangna are! We’ve never felt more comfortable leaving Piggy with anyone ever. The frequent updates and pictures we received were amazing, they went above and beyond, and we felt so reassured that Piggy was in good hands. Honestly, we’re a little hesitant to leave this review, because we want them all to ourself lol, but they are such incredible sitters, we couldn’t recommend them more!”

“Heather, Roberto and their children took amazing care of my fur baby while I was out all day! And lots of pictures throughout the day which I appreciated :) will definitely book again!”
“Allison was very accommodating with our dog Yoshi who still has a lot of puppy energy. I could tell that Yoshi had a great stay, he came back home calm and very affectionate. I'll definitely reach out to Allison for dog sitting in the future.”

“Our little guy Huck had a great time at Hannah and Matt's. They went the extra mile to make sure he was comfortable in their home and with their dogs. Lots of communication with photos and updates throughout our wee away. We already rebooked and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!”

“This was our first time hiring a pet sitter, let alone using Rover. We had considered hiring two other sitters previously, but decided against it because of poor communication or no shows. We found Brittaney and it was immediately a breath of fresh air. 🙏 She responded quickly, we were able to book with her last minute, she communicated in friendly, caring, and professional manner. While we were away, she sent us all kinds of pictures, spent time really trying to bond with our cats, and truly made us feel like they were in great hands. Not only is Brittaney excellent at what she does, but you can truly tell she has a passion for loving animals. I’d very much hire Brittaney again, and plan on it when the need arises. 🙏🙏”

“Samantha was amazing! Took care of the house and the kitties to an unexpected degree, the cats are better than how we left them. Would absolutely recommend Samantha and we will certainly hire her in the future.”

“Melissa cared for our three boy kitties while we were out of town recently. She was very reliable and timely in providing updates on her visits, but most importantly, I could tell she truly enjoys cats - even our shy boy came out and was seeking attention! Would absolutely recommend Melissa and will hire her again in the event we need a cat sitter.”

“This was my first booking with Michelle, and our senior cat immediately decided she was a new friend. It was very reassuring to see how relaxed and comfortable he was while we were away. Michelle was prompt, communicative, and sent thorough updates after each visit. We came home to a calm, content cat and would happily book with her again.”

“Heather was amazing with our cats, playing with them, making sure they were fed, watered, and had a clean litter box. She sent daily emails with tons of pictures. Will definitely book again!”

“Alyssa was simply awesome. She was SO patient with my very shy cats. She was creative and gently persistent in winning them over. I so appreciate her above-and-beyond efforts to make them comfortable!”

“Gretchen is always a great sitter. This time she really went above and beyond when my cat started feeling unwell during my trip. She called me and let me know what was going on, made an extra unplanned visit and gave him some medication on the fly. I appreciate Gretchen a lot!”

“J Does a great job with my pup and yesterday was super helpful because she drilled him on his commands and helped get some kongs prepped. J is reliable and communicates well.”

About: Although I’ve only ever owned outdoor farm cats that were adopted from the humane society, I’ve loving cared for and enjoyed cats that were in home or even indoor/outdoor cats. I have many friends and family members who relied on me for all levels of care, from overnight to daily check ins and play time for cats that prefer not be bothered with too much human interaction. I’m comfortable bringing whatever level of care and attention your feline needs!

“Shelby is the best catsitter we have ever had. She was caring and sent photos daily, which helped ease our worries about our cats when we were away. She went above and beyond, and I would highly recommend her!”

“Danielle is great! She took such good care of my cat, Kali, who had never been left by herself! She also fed my fish, kept their water cool and watered my avocado trees!! Which are thriving! I will definitely use her again!!”

About: I've cared for cats with a variety of exercise and medical needs. I love to take my own adventurous cat on walks and hikes in all types of weather. I prioritize safety and security when working with cats as I am aware of how sensitive (and escape-prone) they can be. I also have experience administering oral and injected medication with cats, and caring for seniors. I love working with cats of all types of temperaments, and ask owners questions to ensure each cat is comfortable and happy in my care!
“Camille and her daughter did great with my two cats, one of whom is a kitten. They’re both sweet cats, but Duvalin can be shy and they were still able to coax her out of her shell for some playtime. We did not even do a meet & greet in person beforehand, but Camille followed my written instructions perfectly.”

“Thank you Veronica! Arrived home from my journey and found everything in order and a kitty cat that was eager to see me, but was clearly taken care of in my absence. Will definitely seek to reenlist Veronica for future journeys”

“She and my Phoenix got along famously. She cleaned the box, fed, watered, gave her ear medicines, and lots of pets. Kristen is friendly and kind. I will absolutely use her services again.”

“Dannielle was amazing!! Sent lots of pics and videos and I could tell my lil guy was super happy (and he doesn’t always get along with everybody). Even offered to take care of some plants which was totally unnecessary but so appreciated! I would rebook with her in a heartbeat.”

“Rylie was amazing. Took great care of our cats and went above and beyond multiple times. Even got our super shy car to come out and hang. Which has never happened before with a rover . Can tell she really cares about the animals she works with and will 100% book again if they’re available for our next trip.”

“Anastasiya and her family have been caring for our energetic 10-month old aussiedoodle Tony each week for a couple of months now & I am so grateful that we found her! We are always greeted warmly, and he expresses excitement and interest for his visits. They have a wonderful home and outdoor space for him to explore and I am confident that he is being well taken care of and having lots of fun. Our brief check-ins tell me that they genuinely seem to enjoy his company, which makes me happy too! Anyone who is able to utilize her services will be fortunate and in very good hands:)”

“I am a fearful pet parent for my little reactive street dog and Damon put us at ease with the time he took for a meet and greet, then booking a day boarding, then an overnight with him before we go away for a week leaving our little guy in his care. I was very hesitant because he has a larger group of dogs, but he is so organized in how he introduces and works with them that our dog came back tired but vey happy. He is super competent, kind and unbelievably NEAT and clean. I couldn't believe he took time to send videos and pictures. this is obviously his superpower. I feel confident in his judgment and his ability to handle anything that comes along calmly.”

“Alexis and Jacob watched Baja for the first time and it was a total success! Baja is very sweet but can be a handful and so we were pretty picky about who could take the reins after her last sitter moved. Based on the friendliness, competence, reliability, and great communication we experienced with Alexis and Jacob, we’re thrilled to have a new loving and safe place for Baja to stay when we’re gone.”

“Wow, Jami was wonderful and you can really tell that she is an animal lover! She went above and beyond to make sure Duckie was taken care of at daycare. She even took him to the dog park so that he could run and play with the other dogs. He was sleepy and happy when I picked him up. I got adorable photos and video updates throughout the day as well. 10/10 recommend!”

“Our dog doesn't do well alone and had a great time at Heather and Roberto's for daycare. I loved the picture updates and our dog came home happy and a little tired, which is just what we wanted!”

“London had a wonderful time with Hanna, Matthew, and his new furry friends! He was clearly having a blast — he was excited to see me at pickup, but also totally torn about leaving all his playmates, which was pretty adorable. He came home happily worn out, which is always the sign of a great day. As a bonus, they’re only 6 minutes from me, which makes drop-off and pickup so easy. I’d absolutely reach out to them again if I need a pet-sitter in the future!”

“Nellie visits Dottie’s house at least once a month for the fun of it. She’s excited to get there so she can play, play, play. Our 2 year old terrier is happy and tired whenever she’s picked up; Dottie throws the best parties! I know she is loved and cared for and provided for by her dog smile. We’re grateful for your help, and for sharing your loving home with us.”

“It’s clear that Christopher and his family genuinely love dogs! He is easygoing, an excellent communicator, and incredibly accommodating. Mason felt comfortable right away and absolutely loves going to doggy daycare at Christopher’s. We have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such caring hands.”

Your dog will enjoy: A calm, loving home environment with plenty of snuggles and attention Structured playtime, rest time, and enrichment throughout the day Positive training and gentle guidance (I’m a professional trainer with 10 years of experience!) A safe, clean space — and of course, lots of photos and updates so you always know how your pup is doing ❤️Whether your dog is a social butterfly, a shy soul, or a little grumpy on occasion, I meet them where they’re at and make sure they feel secure and loved. Your dog’s well-being is always my #1 priority.
“I normally stress out about leaving my dog with someone else, but after our meet and greet, I was actually excited about leaving my dog with Mersal and Cora. He doesn’t get many opportunities to play with other dogs. He had the best time ever with Mersal and Cora. He didn’t want to leave. I think I’ll be reserving more time just for his happiness to be with Mersal and Cora.”

“Kirsten did a wonderful job! She accepted my booking very last minute and kept me updated throughout the day with updates and photos of our puppy. She was flexible scheduling-wise and provided a lot of activity and stimulation for our dog.”

“I needed day care services for the last 3 weeks. Susan & Ian were amazing! I requested dog pickup and drop off. I work 12 hrs a day and when I got home I came home to a tired and happy dog. It was like Christmas. I got pictures and video updates thought the day and report card at end of day. Kuka, my dog, loves their Rudy. They became buddies. I cant recommend them high enough!! Kuka went to doggie day care in the past and it always stressed her out. We tired 4 different places. She is super duper happy with Susan and family.”

About: We provide a safe, cozy, low-stress environment so your pup feels comfortable, relaxed, and truly at home while you’re away. Lots of attention, familiar routines, and genuine care. Pet care fits naturally into our daily and weekly routine. One of us works from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and get plenty of attention throughout the day. We also have two teen girls who love helping with care — extra cuddles, playtime, and lots of love included. Daily walks are part of our routine, along with a calm, cozy home environment where pups feel safe and spoiled. We care for pets as if they’re part of our family. In our home, dogs enjoy a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, plenty of supervision, and a calm, comfortable environment. Since we don’t currently have pets of our own, your dog gets our full attention — from playtime and walks to cuddles and downtime. Our goal is always to keep your pup feeling secure, relaxed, and right at home.
About: I was taught that caring for someone's home and loved ones is a true privilege. I bring that same philosophy to every pet I care for, treating them with the love, patience, and attention they deserve. I was raised around multiple dogs and cats in our home from the moment I was born all the way to now. We considered them family and always cared for them with the utmost love and care. As an adult I have cared for my pets with zero incidence. After college I walked three dogs for over a year each and loved absolutely every moment of it. All without incidence. These were some of the most fun moments in my career in my 20's. Now, I have free time and would love to occupy that free time with taking care of other people's animals again. I am all of my friends go-to pet sitter. Both in my home and theirs. Known as "Auntie Nushie and a dog-god-mother to many. I nurse birds back to health, I don't kill insects, and I bring a level of calm energy to even the most chaotic of scenarios. My own dogs and cats are testimony to my ability to train puppies and socialize kittens. So, if you have fur babies, I will have organized training sessions with them. Whatever your pets needs, I am here for them! Whether it's an energetic walk, medication administration, senior care, or simply keeping them company while you're away, I naturally make all animals feel safe, happy, and at ease. I am punctual, tidy, responsible, and a great communicator; who may or may not take extremely great portraits of animals. I want your pets to feel excited when I arrive, loved while you're away, and relaxed when you come home. And for you, I hope every update and photo gives you complete peace of mind knowing they're in caring, capable hands. I currently work from home and have an open availability. I will not be available before 9AM on week days and 11AM on weekends. I sometimes travel for work but will give you a 4 days advance notice. Prefer having a set schedule for walking, pet sitting, or drop off. Your Home: I leave everything better than I found it. If it's a rainy day? No coming home to muddy footprints. If I come over and a dog has had an accident, I clean up after them. I send updates at the beginning and end of each visit. I am very responsible and have always locked up after myself. Zero incidences of gates left open, dogs running off their leash, confrontations with other animals, and never any safety concerns. My Home: I have 2 small dogs, Luna and Hank who both love other dogs. My cat loves dogs (even other cats) as well. She spends most of her days laying out in the yard and my dogs are always glued to my hip. My yard is large, fenced in, and has both shady and sunny areas. I have 3 separate water bowls around the house and keep the bowls sanitized and full. If you have special food or treats, I will gladly keep them here separate for your pet. I have a large 4 bedroom home with 2 living rooms. Even on the rainiest days, there is plenty of room here to have playtime.
About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.

“Alexis has been so good with Wilson, my greyhound. She honored all of my requests for him as greyhounds can be quite a different sort of breed than others. Her sense of care for animals is exactly what I was looking for and I would recommend Alexis to anyone who needs someone to take care of their pooch☺️👍🏻🐾.”

About: I have had dogs all my life! All different type for big and small. I have cared for mostly my family and friends dogs and animals. I am reliable and have a reliable vehicle. Also I am available on weekends if needed. I am in the Tualatin area near Jurgens Park and I am willing to travel to care for your fur baby. If you have any further questions for me please don't hesitate to ask. I am available during the week after 5pm, and open on the weekends. I have dog parks need my home but totally happy with your doggie parks as well. I have a fully fenced yard, I do have a cat and 2 bunnies :) my pup passed in December and looking forward to hanging with other pups.
“Everyone reported that Alyssa was really good with my brats. My SIL was really impressed with Alyssa's attire, where she had leashes, treats, doggie bags. My neighbors were quite impressed by the way she handled my dogs, and talked to them. My dogs seemed happy. Hopefully Alyssa would not mind coming back and caring for our dogs in the future. While I never really had the pleasure of meeting Alyssa, based on these reports I would love to hire her in the fall term 2-3 days a week.”

About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.
“Helped me out in a last minute request! My pup was so settled after his walks, I knew they had a good time and quality exercise. Also got to meet her dog, very gentle and sweet. 10/10”

“Veronica did a great jobs with my pups this week. Providing them with both walks and drop ins during a busy work week. She was communicative and gave great updates and could tell she genuinely cared about them and their time together. Will hire again!”

“Megan has been a regular dog walker for a couple of years. She’s thoughtful about making sure B gets his coat if it’s cold or stays in the shade if it’s hot, and is always respectful of property. Highly recommend!”

About: I have a very positive personality that I bring out in all work that I do. I am a practicing Speech Language Pathologist with a 3 year old pup of my own—Louie. I have taken care of pets through rover, as well as used it for my own pet care needs. I moved around the Portland area a bit, so I took a break from Rover, but now my life is more settled and I’m happy to take your fur-babies on walks, or drop in! I live in Mountain Park and would be happy to cover any “last minute” dog needs that you have. My schedule will allow for 1-3 walks/drop in visits per day. My most availability is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I pride myself in being thorough and paying attention to detail. I will follow any and all instructions that you provide. Having a dog of my own, I can supply poop bags and treats if necessary.
“Liz is great with my 🐶, even with short notice she was able to accommodate a walk for poppie, she always updates me on how my 🐕🦺 is doing and sends pictures of my 🐕🦺on their walk. Thank you Liz😀”

About: I have extensive experience working with a variety of dietary and medical needs of cats and dogs. While serving past clients I have worked with senior dogs and cats needing special food prep, and arthritis mobility assistance. With past clients I have administered oral and injected medications while following proper safety standards. My schedule is very flexible, and can fit a variety of care needs. Feel free to message me, and we can work something out. When I'm not taking my own pet out for adventures, I'd love to care for your fur babies! I am detail oriented, and have experience working with escape-prone pets, and keeping them safe. I love working with pets in clean environments, and believe that your pets deserve only the best care.
“Bethany was awesome me and my husband were going to be away on A trip our Dog Booker was staying home with our parents but they weren’t going to be able to give him the required exercise he needed so we figured we would give a dog walker a go! Bethany should up everyday to our house on time and Booker was always excited to see her! Each walk came with a picture and report which was great! Would definitely use Bethany again!”

About: Growing up, my family was very pet oriented! Mainly dogs and cats, but also a few other creatures. Growing up with animals taught me the basics, and as time moved on I honed my skills and learned to listen to animals and respect their boundaries. When I was in my teenage years, my parents had a couple litters of puppies that I would take care of a majority of the time. They were my favorite memories, and I will still tell anyone that will listen that their tiny ears were like velvet. We began training the pups before they were adopted, and I have trained quite a few dogs in some areas; my shining achievement so far is my dog balancing a treat on her nose- yet only for a few moments before she gets excited and flicks it off to eat it. In high school I volunteered at my local animal shelter, my duties there were help with cleaning and socializing animals, and talking with people about the animals I knew and helped them get adopted. I have also pet sat for different friends and families over the years, and have heard positive feedback each time! I have a motivation and passion to keep animals happy, and will go to great lengths to ensure their happiness. :) I am a currently a student at Chemeketa! I am mainly an online class taker, so I am in the Portland area most of the time. At the time of writing this, I am on summer vacation, so my schedule is much more flexible. Come September there will be some changes to my calendar, but for now I can work with you and your specific needs very easily. I cannot bring animals into my home (we have a cat that does not like to share) but I can ensure you that I am a very dependable person! I can walk dogs (or cats!) at their own pace and needs- whether that's in highly populated areas for lots of attention, or quiet trails to run around and enjoy nature. I also understand that there may be a level of unease for allowing a stranger into your home or around your beloved pets, but I can promise that the only thing I am focused on if ensuring your pets happiness!

“It was Whitney’s first time staying with Damon and she had an absolute blast! Damon sent us so many awesome photos and updates which made being away from Whitney so much easier. You can tell Damon is truly passionate about caring for dogs and took amazing care of our girl as if she was his own! We can’t recommend him enough! :)”

“Manisha and her family did a wonderful job watching Spencer! She was very communicative and quick to respond. I had last minute plans and she was very flexible to work with me. I was sent lots of photos and updates, as requested. During drop off, Spence willingly walked back with Manisha, which he usually never does at daycare. I could tell her and her family loved him like he was their own. I will definitely be booking Manisha again and recommend her to anyone looking around!! Spencer was also given a very sweet gift :)”

“Ron is the first non-Shiba-breeder person who we boarded our Shiba boy with, and Tanuki was well taken care of by Ron! Emma and Ron were able to loosen up Tanuki after an evening, and Tanuki really appreciated being able to lounge on furniture and beds. Being worried parents, we were comforted by Ron’s regular updates on our boy. We’re all very happy to have Ron to send Tanuki to for short trips!”

“Amy is great! She responded right away when I contacted her and followed up with me on the morning of Coco's stay with her. She was very flexible and accommodating, which my husband and I really appreciate. We loved getting the picture updates of our spoiled princess. Thanks again, Amy!”

“5 stars for Jean. I needed a very late pick up time and she was happy to accomodate. My Maltese Celeste was sitting in Jean's lap on the couch nice an cozy at the end of her stay. ”
“Abe did a great job taking care of my challenging little guy and even offered to keep him again in the future. I had no worries while I was out of town and got daily pics and updates. Thanks so much Abe!”

“Mariia was incredible from the get go, she was responsive, understanding and willing to accommodate any requests we had. She’s friendly and Kovi, our dog, looked happy and well taken care of! Thank you Mariia! I felt like Kovi was in great hands while we were gone.”

“Our girls enjoyed their stay with Odalis and her lovely family. Her kids were very hands on with the girls, which was great as they love attention. They came back and slept like the dead which is always a good sign. Would use again!”

“My pup loved staying at Jami's- frequent adventures to the dog park or the woods, and lots of dogs to play with in the backyard! He made some new best friends, and I felt great about leaving him with her.- he had his own little vacation. We'll be back!”
