I will love your kitty as much as they want me too - whether that means cuddles, playtime, or being ignored. About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and absolutely love being around them, but I also have plenty of experience caring for cats. I’ve pet and house sat overnight multiple times for friends and family, so I’m comfortable with daily care, walks, feeding, and keeping pets company while you’re away. I received pictures and updates on how she was doing and how she was getting along with the other dogs in her care. She was well taken care of and had walks and trips to the park. “Manisha and her family did a wonderful job watching Spencer! She was very communicative and quick to respond. I had last minute plans and she was very flexible to work with me. I was sent lots of photos and updates, as requested. During drop off, Spence willingly walked back with Manisha, which he usually never does at daycare. I could tell her and her family loved him like he was their own. I will definitely be booking Manisha again and recommend her to anyone looking around!! Spencer was also given a very sweet gift :)”
“Jeannine very graciously accepted a last-minute request (< 12 hrs) to board Gunner for one night. Gunner was instantly comfortable with her kids and home, which was so comforting to see. When I went to pick Gunner up Jeannine explained that Gunner and her dog destroyed Gunner's bed so she bought him a new one. Not only was it cute but Gunner has been loving it.
