About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life and have experience with dogs of all sizes including Chihuahuas and Dachshunds to German Shepherds. I currently have a cat of my own and understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets while you’re away. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve regularly pet sat for family members, including a high-energy Husky mix who requires daily exercise and attention. I also regularly walk dogs at the Oregon Dog Rescue. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, administering basic medications, and working with reactive dogs. When caring for your pet, I prioritize reliability, communication, and keeping their routine as consistent as possible. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, play sessions, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm companion around, I’m happy to tailor my care to what makes them most comfortable. I work full-time during weekdays, which allows me to provide reliable morning, evening, and weekend pet care. Dog walks, drop-in visits and house sitting are a great fit for my schedule, and I make it a priority to maintain your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I often have the ability to work remotely for a more flexible schedule. Whether your pet needs walks, feeding, playtime, medications, or simply companionship, I’m happy to accommodate their individual needs. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can stay connected while you’re away! I understand that trusting someone with your pet and home is a big decision. When caring for pets, I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, medications, and any special requirements. My goal is to keep your pet comfortable and maintain their normal routine while you’re away. I treat every home with respect and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I have a very positive personality that I bring out in all work that I do. I am a practicing Speech Language Pathologist with a 3 year old pup of my own—Louie. I have taken care of pets through rover, as well as used it for my own pet care needs. I moved around the Portland area a bit, so I took a break from Rover, but now my life is more settled and I’m happy to take your fur-babies on walks, or drop in! I live in Mountain Park and would be happy to cover any “last minute” dog needs that you have. My schedule will allow for 1-3 walks/drop in visits per day. My most availability is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I pride myself in being thorough and paying attention to detail. I will follow any and all instructions that you provide. Having a dog of my own, I can supply poop bags and treats if necessary.

About: I have cared for dogs for a decade and have always had cats. I have been a foster mom for dogs, cats, and kittens for several rescues. I have a lot of flexibility to watch your pets. Happy to walk, feed, and love on your animals, stay overnights, or keep them at my house. My partner works from home so there is an additional person to love on your animals and watch them if I step out. I have a large fenced-in back yard that's great for doggy playtime! I have indoor/outdoor cats that keep to themselves. If your animals are cat friendly they are happy to mingle, but also have plenty of space to keep them separate. I typically only watch animals from one household at a time, with exception if they're very friendly with others and everyone feels comfortable.

Because I have zero scheduling conflicts, your furry friend will receive my undivided attention including tailored exercise and plenty of love while you are away. Being an animal person, attention and pet-based care are my highest priority. Having a high energy dog myself, I understand and respect the specific needs of each animal for them to be their best self.

About: Hello! I offer in-home pet sitting and provide drop-in visits and dog walking services. I truly enjoy spending quality time with animals and love giving dogs and the attention, affection, and care they deserve. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being are extremely important to me, and I will always respect your routines, requests, and care instructions to ensure they feel as comfortable and cared for as possible. A little about me: I have a strong love for animals and have gained hands-on experience through various volunteer positions working with pets. I have volunteered with Animal Aid Inc., where I gained experience caring for both cats and dogs. In addition, I am currently studying to become a veterinary technician through the Penn Foster program, where I continue to expand my knowledge of animal health, behavior, and care. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns, or thoughts about working with me. I will always do my best to respond promptly and provide compassionate, attentive, and reliable care for your beloved pet. My schedule is flexible, and I prioritize keeping pets on a consistent routine with regular walks, feeding times, and attention throughout the day. I’ll always communicate clearly about availability and send updates during each stay. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I try to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible by following feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and any household rules you provide. Whether in my home or yours, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. Here is an example of the important aspects I require in a care guide: 1. Feeding Schedule/Amount 2. Walking Schedule/Best Destinations and Best Walking Routes 3. Personality/Needs (Do they have dietary restrictions? Do they pull on the leash? Any important commands I should know?) 4. House Rules 5. Vet Info/Emergency Contact I look forward to working with you and your pet!

I want Kristin as my best friend AND cat sitter! She is WONDERFUL from first contact. She is prompt to reply, she made the effort to coordinate a attend a meet and greet prior to sitting for us, she is communicative over pet sitting stays (photo albums and updates), she is extremely trust worthy, and she has been such an enjoyable addition to our trusted circle!. As a pet owner, having someone reliable and trustworthy, like Kristin, makes the WORLD of a different in my peace and comfort and has allowed me continue traveling and enjoying time out of town with my young daughter. I recommend her x 10000.

Brayden was wonderful with our pups! You could tell he genuinely cared about them and made the most of each of their hour-long drop-in visits. He was great about communicating with us and always sent updates and pictures, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our pups were completely conked out after their visits, so we knew they had gotten plenty of exercise, attention, and enrichment. We also had the chance to meet Sara beforehand, and both she and Brayden were great to work with. We would absolutely book with them again!

We are very pleased with Aleen's care of our cat Tulip. While Tulip was pretty timid, Aileen was making progress with her by the time we returned. A huge thank you to Aileen from me and Tulip.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Stafford

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
