“We found Juan and his family last minute, they were very accommodating especially with it being a holiday weekend. They have a beautiful home with everyone being so welcoming and loving. An amazing back yard with lots of room and designated areas to keep dogs active and entertained. Juan kept in touch daily with pictures, messages and videos. She came back happy and relaxed. It was one of the best dog sitting experiences I’ve had. You can tell by how personable that they care. It was like leaving my pup with family. “Douglania is very sweet and kind. It was my first time leaving my pet with her for about ten days but I could see that she was patient and really understood dogs. At our meet and greet, my dog was a little scared and unsure about the new place, and of the dogs that Douglania had. She could see that my dog needed some time and space to get used to new surroundings, new people and other dogs and assured me that I needn't worry. She updated me everyday on how my dog was doing with her food, walks, generally adjusting to things and sleeping. She also included many photos that would put my heart at ease while I was traveling. I know my dog was very well cared for and that she was very comfortable at Douglania's home. I could easily connect with her via the app chat and any questions I had would be answered quickly. She was also very good about accommodating any changes in the booking. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter. About: I recently moved to the area and am a retired softball coach that owns a private practice working in sport psychology & mental performance. As you can imagine, marketing & finding new clients owning your own business takes time!! While making connections in the area, I thought back to how I made money as a kid… cue pet sitting! At the mere age of 8 I started to hustle by starting my own neighborhood dog washing business, and eventually this bloomed into being the first call any neighbor made when they were going away for vacation. On top of always having a variety of pets in my home (cats, dogs, reptiles, hedgehog, fish, etc.), I've picked up on a lot of the necessary skills needed to keep animals happy & healthy through diet, exercise, play, & affection. Pet sitting is a lot more than filling up their bowl and sitting on the couch watching tv- it's about being a temporary replacement for an animal's loved one while they are away. I currently have a VERY flexible schedule, I work from home so would be available to do any drop ins/boarding as necessary throughout the day. I currently live in a neighborhood with a ton of families that I see walking their pets daily! It allows for a lot of space to walk my home has a secure, fenced in back yard! I personally do have 2 cats in my home that are both good with dogs. I had recently introduced the kitten to my adult cat so have experience with introducing new animals to each other! In your home, I'd be sure to follow all instructions and keep your animal comfortable during your time away.
