“We were gone for a week in April, 2024. Our two dogs stayed with Cristy and had a great time. Both of them are special cases. Lola is an 18 year old dachshund who is deaf and partially blind. Pepper is an eight year old Dalmatian/American bulldog mix who was a street dog rescue. Her background is unknown, but there are several clues that she had been abused. Both dogs needed special attention, and they got it with Cristy. We would not hesitate at all to trust Cristy to watch our dogs again any time.”

About: I grew up always having at least one pet. The first chore I was ever assigned was actually taking care of our cat and dog (at the time) and I did that for a while. Around middle school I started dog-sitting for my parents and I’ve been doing that for quite some time now. I’ve never met an animal (that isn’t super skittish) that doesn’t love or at the very least ‘tolerate’ me. My dogs will follow me around the house or sometimes paw/bark at my door just to see me. Even when it comes to skittish animals (especially cats) they usually warm up to me very quickly. My grandma’s stray rescue cat is petrified of everyone but my grandma. After a week of staying over at my grandma’s she would walk up to me on her own and even sit in my lap. I’m free almost 24/7 except when I’m asleep. I’m currently searching for a job hence the very flexible schedule. I don’t mind late night visits or early morning, my sleep schedule is just as flexible if not more. I respect animals the same way you would people, although we don’t have verbal communication it’s very easy to tell what an animal is feeling based on their body language. I can be stern and assertive without being overly aggressive or anything of that sort. Additionally, I am very respectful of others spaces and homes. I believe heavily in treat others how you want to be treated, so I behave as such and I think that reflects in my pet-care and work ethic

About: I've been caring for animals of all sizes for most of my adult life. I spent several years caring for animals professionally at a pet boarding facility in Sanford. I also learned a lot about animal care while working as a receptionist in a veterinary clinic. I'm currently only working free lance for a delivery company and am able to dedicate the majority of my time to caring for your pets. About: I have been an animal lover my entire life and believe that they have real feelings that should not be ignored. I have a tiny yorkie, Rissa, and a Pom puppy, Rambo. Your pet would be in very safe and loving hands while under my care. I am patient and kind, most dogs and animals will immediately be happy to be around me even if they are skittish. The majority become attached quickly and become my little shadows. :) I have been on Rover since June of 2015. In that time I have had 100+ bookings from different people and 50+ of these have booked more than once. I have watched over 100 different dogs and am very experienced in all types of pup personalities. These numbers do not include bookings from friends and neighbors who are not on the Rover website. I am over 30 years old and work from home. Your pup will have 24/7 supervision and attention. (Many pups enjoy supervising me work in my office) For safety, if I am out of the house, your dog would be baby-gated in the bedroom unless crate training is necessary or requested. If they get along with my dog and don't need to be separated, they can have free run of the house while I'm home. At night, they would have their bed or be crated in my room to sleep so they aren't lonely. If they can keep up and like to run, I will take them with me around the block as well! I also volunteer at TEARS animal rescue and want to make sure all animals are taken care of. About: I’ve had fur babies for as long as I’ve been alive ranging from tiny chihuahuas to large pitties. I love all animals, but have the most experience with dogs. I’m a sucker for a good cuddle or kisses, as I’m sure you can tell from my pictures! I’m available for drop in visits and dog walking visits and would love to have some fun with your pet :) I’m currently working full time Monday-Thursday, but am available on those nights if needed for drop-in visits and at anytime on Fridays and the weekend. I’ll treat your fur baby as if it were my own and provide the love and care they deserve and more! If your pet is anything like mine, they aren’t always comfortable with strangers so I understand the importance of working at their pace and making sure we build trust.

“We were gone for a week in April, 2024. Our two dogs stayed with Cristy and had a great time. Both of them are special cases. Lola is an 18 year old dachshund who is deaf and partially blind. Pepper is an eight year old Dalmatian/American bulldog mix who was a street dog rescue. Her background is unknown, but there are several clues that she had been abused. Both dogs needed special attention, and they got it with Cristy. We would not hesitate at all to trust Cristy to watch our dogs again any time.”
