About: I grew up always having at least one pet. The first chore I was ever assigned was actually taking care of our cat and dog (at the time) and I did that for a while. Around middle school I started dog-sitting for my parents and I’ve been doing that for quite some time now. I’ve never met an animal (that isn’t super skittish) that doesn’t love or at the very least ‘tolerate’ me. My dogs will follow me around the house or sometimes paw/bark at my door just to see me. Even when it comes to skittish animals (especially cats) they usually warm up to me very quickly. My grandma’s stray rescue cat is petrified of everyone but my grandma. After a week of staying over at my grandma’s she would walk up to me on her own and even sit in my lap. I’m free almost 24/7 except when I’m asleep. I’m currently searching for a job hence the very flexible schedule. I don’t mind late night visits or early morning, my sleep schedule is just as flexible if not more. I respect animals the same way you would people, although we don’t have verbal communication it’s very easy to tell what an animal is feeling based on their body language. I can be stern and assertive without being overly aggressive or anything of that sort. Additionally, I am very respectful of others spaces and homes. I believe heavily in treat others how you want to be treated, so I behave as such and I think that reflects in my pet-care and work ethic
“Jackalyn is an excellent pet sitter. She took care of our cat while we spent time at the beach. Not only did she make sure our cat was fed, but she also played with her, opened and closed the window blinds for her, and even brushed her. On top of that, she fed our fish and managed the aquarium light schedule in the morning and evening. Jackalyn demonstrated a genuine love for animals and consistently went above and beyond in caring for our pets. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”
“I was so happy that Dan was available for me to add on two more days of care for my fur-babies to my already booked week. His attention to detail and responsiveness make leaving my sweet babies in the care of someone else not just bearable but practically worry-free.”

“Kathleen and George were very thorough in preparing to take care of our two cats. They wrote down all the information and even better they followed through and did everything they said they would. For us they went above and beyond replacing some batteries in our door lock. Would highly recommend this couple to watch your fur babies.”
“Billy is THE BEST EVER!! Highly recommended! Will continue to have him walk my furbaby he takes really good care of my Boomer and communicates so well! He Goes out of his way! 10/10!!! Thanks so very much Billy!”
“Lori and her daughter took care of our 15 year old cat and we were extremely impressed. They spent quality time giving Lola attention and went above and beyond. They communicated quickly and really put us at ease leaving our girl. We are really lucky that we found Lori!”
“Zach was awesome. He went above and beyond in taking care of my cat. I felt at ease the entire time I was away because of his professionalism and compassion for his job. I will definitely hire him again when I am in need of a sitter.”
“Great response time. Was able to book Michelle a week in advance (I’m a serious procrastinator), she sent me numerous photos of my pups and kept me informed. Will definitely use for our next vacation.”
“We love Peter! This is the second time he’s helped watch our kitties and he was just as wonderful as the first time. He follows instructions well, asks questions which shows he cares, and always leaves everything clean and back in its place. We really appreciate that he’s able to accommodate us by taking our high energy cat outside once a day as well. Highly recommend!”
About: I have cared for cats in a pet store setting (cats for adoption on site) as well as in a veterinary kennel. I have 3 cat babies and have always grown up around them! Both my kids have said “kitty” as one of their first few words if that says anything about how much we love cats over here 🐱💕
“Caitlyn did an amazing job with my cats! One is over 20 years old and the other requires medication, and she handled both with great care. She was always on time, thorough with her Rover cards, and sent lots of wonderful photos. I felt completely at ease knowing my cats were in such good hands. I highly recommend her and will definitely be a repeat customer!”
About: I've been caring for animals of all sizes for most of my adult life. I spent several years caring for animals professionally at a pet boarding facility in Sanford. I also learned a lot about animal care while working as a receptionist in a veterinary clinic. I'm currently only working free lance for a delivery company and am able to dedicate the majority of my time to caring for your pets. It is important to me that your pet sticks to their regular routine while you are away. I always schedule a meeting before booking to take detail notes on your pets daily routine.
“Shirley is the best. Not only is she an amazing person overall, but she’s the best pet sitter I’ve ever had for my 4 kitty cats. I was shocked that my one cat, who is usually terrified of new people, let her pet him on the second day! She really has a way with animals. You can tell she loves and cares for them deeply. While I was gone I got daily updates and pictures most days. Shirley really went above and beyond to care for my cats. She went over twice a day and hung out with them, let them out on the patio (which is their favorite thing ever). She even helped take out our trash and brought our mail in, which she didn’t have to do. I’ll definitely be a returning customer!”
“Evelyn is truly a gift 💝 It’s been such peace of mind to know, not only are my boys being cared for but they are happy to visit with Evelyn! They love her! Thank you so much! 🩵🩵🩵”
About: I have grown up with dogs of all shapes and sizes my entire life! I enjoy being around animals and love to take care of them. I own two female German shorthaired pointers who have TONS of energy! And that’s what I love most about them. I know how important it is to meet all animals exactly where they’re at temperament wise. I truly enjoy being around animals…more than humans sometimes! I look forward to getting to walk or play with your fur babies! I work a hybrid job, so I am remote 2-3 times a week where I am fully home all day with my pups. On the days I go into the office, my partner comes home during lunch to let our dogs out. On weekends, I am home full time as well. I have a big fenced in backyard perfect for activities! My own pups love to run around and play fetch back there. Dogs are allowed in furniture and to sleep in the bed in my house.

“Sasha was wonderful with my puppy and so kind and understanding throughout the entire day. My puppy can sometimes be a handful and requires a lot of attention, and she ended up having an accident in her house even after a walk, which I felt terrible about. Sasha handled it with patience and was incredibly considerate about it, which I really appreciated. She was also very flexible and easy to work with, responsive, and great at communication. I felt completely comfortable knowing my puppy was being cared for by someone patient, accommodating, and genuinely good with dogs. I would absolutely recommend her!”

“Adriana is truly an angel! She was able to help me out on my daughter’s wedding weekend after the pet sitter I had booked, back home, forced me to bring my two dogs with us to the hotel. About: Hi! I’m Victoria, a local Sanford dog sitter and proud dog mom to Leo, my toy schnauzer. I provide a safe, loving home environment where dogs are treated like family—not just pets. No cramped kennels or long hours alone. They’ll have the run of the house, plenty of outdoor time, belly rubs, treats, and all the love they could ask for. A brief Meet & Greet is required prior to sitting for all new clients to assure compatibility. I work remotely, which means your dog will have companionship and supervision throughout the day. Whether they’re here for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, they’ll enjoy plenty of outdoor breaks, playtime, cuddles, and individualized attention. I intentionally keep my boarding numbers low to create a calm, low-stress environment where every dog receives the care they deserve. We have policies in place to make sure dogs, who are escape artists, aren’t able to make a run for it, we space feeding time and walking time as research has shown eating prior to a walk and immediately after can cause bloating and other complications. It’s my mission your dog is safe at all times so you can worry less when your dog is not with you.

About: Caring for pets has always been a part of my life! I’ve grown up with dogs at home and have looked after them with love and responsibility. Friends and family have trusted me many times to care for their pets while they’re away, whether it’s feeding, walking, or simply spending quality time playing and keeping them company. I treat every animal like they’re part of my own family. I’m currently not working a traditional job, which allows me to have the time and flexibility to care for pets with love and attention. When I care for pets in their own home, I always aim to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. We were traveling for a funeral and his kindness and accommodations were very much appreciated. The doggos came home happy and clearly well cared for.”
“This is my second review, and I can honestly say the kindness and care shown to my dog continues to mean so much to me. Every once in a while, you come across people who remind you that genuine compassion still exists, and this is one of those times. I’m beyond grateful for how well he is cared for and for the peace of mind that comes with knowing he’s in such good hands. I truly can’t thank them enough.”
“Christina was so great with Clover! She sent me pictures and/or videos each day of the week. She looked so happy to be there. I highly recommend and will definitely have Clover return.”
“Chayla did a great job of taking care of my two cats. One of them needed two medications, and it eased my mind to know that she had the skills and knowledge to handle it so well. Thanks, Chayla!”
“This was Max’s second visit to Lily’s house and we were just as pleased as his first visit. She sent plenty of photos and videos of Max’s visit and I could tell all the dogs were having a great time. Thank you, Lily, for taking such great care of our boy. We will see you again soon!”
“Kaity was an amazing pet sitter for Kahlo, one of the paralyzed dogs in our rescue. She handled Kahlo's unique needs with great care and attention, making sure he was comfortable and well looked after. I especially appreciated the numerous photos and updates she sent, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear Kaity is experienced and compassionate, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible and caring pet sitter. I’ll definitely be reaching out to Kaity again in the future!”
“My fur babies had a blast at Lisa’s house. She gave me daily reports and pictures. They were well cared for and I’m excited to have found a safe place to board them when we travel.”
