“I was so nervous to leave my dogs as they all have anxiety or medical problems (maybe just I have the anxiety). Jaylynne followed instructions perfectly. With other sitters I always had to check in or ask for updates but Jaylynne sent me the best updates and pics throughout the day. I don’t think they even missed me. Jaylynne also left the house clean and provided me with a detailed update before leaving. Jaylynne made traveling super easy and I know my puppies had a great time with her. I recommend using Jaylynne!”

“Luis stayed with our dogs over the holidays and provided us with great updates and so many photos of their days. He handles our two pups very well despite them being very different energies and personalities. Both dogs are always so content when we get home, so we know they were loved and well cared for when Luis is here. We all feel grateful that we found him!”

About: Hi there! I’ve been a lifelong dog lover and proud dog parent to five amazing pups — three boxers and two labs. I’ve also raised three boxer puppies, so I know firsthand the patience, consistency, and care it takes to make dogs feel happy and secure. Dogs tend to connect with me easily — I believe it’s because of my calm, positive energy and genuine love for animals. My experience includes daily walks with large dogs, overnight pet sitting, and caring for puppies while their owners were away. I’ve also helped care for my college housemate’s dog whenever she traveled, so I’m very comfortable following different routines and preferences. I’m currently taking a gap year before pursuing my doctorate in Occupational Therapy, which means I have full flexibility and availability to give your dog the attention and exercise they deserve. I’d love to help care for your furry friend — whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or just some extra love while you’re away! Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! 🐾 I’m currently home from college and have full availability 7 days a week, both day and night. This gives me plenty of time to give your pets the attention and care they need! I’m very flexible with scheduling and can easily adjust to fit your routine or your pet’s specific needs. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or special requests. I always prioritize safety and trust when caring for pets and entering a client’s home. I make sure doors and gates are securely closed, and I follow any specific instructions you provide. I’ll ensure your pets are fed, have fresh water, and get the attention, playtime, or walks they need. If needed, I can crate them safely or follow any other part of their routine you prefer. I’m also happy to send photo or text updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
“Bridgette was so wonderful!! She stayed at our home and watched our puppy and made us feel so comfortable leaving town. Highly recommend!! Kind, responsible, and our pup loved her.”

“Nick was great with Luna. Luna can be fussy with new people, but she took to him very easily! He was reliable and sent frequent photo updates. Will definitely seek him out again!”

“Kayla is a great communicator, responsible, and so great with my dogs. It is a great relief to know our pups and our home is in good hands with Kayla. Would definitely book her again!”

“Our dogs love Tricia! While we were away for three days, she took care of them at our home as if they were her own. We are so grateful to have found her! Happy to provide a stellar personal reference if ever needed.”

“Jason was my first house/dogsitting experience with Rover; and I couldn't be more impressed. He followed our instructions perfectly and spoiled our precious Luna, kept in contact regularly, and left the house (AND Luna) in impeccable condition. Luna is the sweetest, but she can be kind of needy (she's a rescue who is used to a lot of attention and affection); and I can tell she had all her needs met. It made our family trip to Hawaii SO much better knowing she was in such good hands. Jason is obviously extremely conscientious and thoughtful. He not only left the house clean, but washed the sheets and towels he used; and we came to a very content doggy. I highly recommend Jason and will definitely reach out to him again.”

“Colton and Lucinda are a responsible and caring couple that will care foryour pets like their own. Great communication while I was away and pictures too 🙂 Would definitely book again . Ty”

“Wendy is awesome! She kept us updated with pics of our pup while away and was responsive before and during booking. Our dog has a lot of energy and Wendy kept up with him playing fetch and keeping him happy. She stayed at our place for almost a week, and we came back to a clean house and a happy dog (she even took out the trash and washed the sheets of the guest bed!). Wendy was great, and we will definitely be using her again for our next travel!”
“Allison was a great dog sitter during our weekend out of town, who gave our puppy lots of walks and attention! She gave regular photo updates and was flexible when we had a flight delay. Would rebook with her in the future!”

“Bonnie is amazing. Shes so good with our girls and our home. We plan on hiring her exclusively for house sitting and watching our girls. She is professional, timely, and takes time to give us updates.”

“Debby was great! This was our first time using Rover and we needed to Find a pet sitter last minute. I reached out to Debby later in the evening to see if she could start let sitting the next morning. She immediately responded to me, and was on time (early!) the next morning. Debby was professional, provided text updates throughout her stay, and we knew our pets were safe. Thank you, Debby!”

About: LIfelong and proud dog owner. I had raised our family dogs (multiple breeds), was the primary caretaker of each, and friends, neighbors, and co-workers have relied on me to take care of their pets when away. I am currently a retiree (young) and have enough stamina and flexibility to play with your fur kids! I'm available primarily Monday through Friday, but will make time for Saturdays and Sundays. I always maintain fresh, plentiful water for my pets, take them for walks for at least half an hour, talk to them, maintain a clean, and hygienic environment, and most certainly are engaged with them and do not leave them alone very long. I'm currently a part-time caretaker for my elderly mother. My brother and I share the responsibilities, so I have plenty of flexibility to be with your pet(s). I cared for my Cocker Spaniel, Lady, until her passing in 2019 (19 years young!). Primarily in condominiums, so I currently do not have a pet. However, I would care for yours just like I did with her by taking good quality walks, and having quality play time in your yard, or nearby parks, or beaches.
“Megan is fabulous and so sweet! We felt very comfortable having her stay at our home and our pup, Fenway, warmed up to her immediately. It’s clear Megan is very experienced and loves dogs. We hope to have her stay again in the future!”

“I couldn't have asked for a better sitter for Louie! She was so sweet, super communicative, and kept me updated the whole time. You can tell she really cares Louie was so happy and well taken care of when I got back. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. Highly recommend! :) 💗”

“Kellie has been SO easy to work with. She communicated clearly with us throughout her stay at our house with our dog. She sent lots of pictures and followed our instructions, including about our dog's medicine regimen.”
La Jolla Village pet parents share their Rover experiences
I can’t say enough amazing things about Olivia! She is truly the kind of dog sitter every pet parent hopes to find. From the moment we met, it was clear how genuinely she cares for animals. She was incredibly attentive, patient, and loving with Winston and Peanut, and kept me updated with photos, videos, and little notes that made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Both pups were happy, relaxed, and clearly well-cared for — which says everything. Olivia went above and beyond, treating Winston and Peanut like her own and keeping my home spotless on top of it. Reliable, kind, and truly exceptional at what she does. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book her again. If you’re looking for someone you can wholeheartedly trust, Olivia is absolutely the one!

Amanda did an amazing job taking care of our three dogs when we were out of town. She was very professional and kind. She kept us posted with photos and updates, which gave us such peace of mind during our trip. We trust her so much and we’ve already booked her for another dog sitting job. Thank you so much Amanda!

Colton was great, he stayed over for 5 nights watching our one year old pup. He sent us pictures and updates multiple times a day. We have a somewhat complicated food & supplement regime that he followed and the house was left just as clean as we left it! Would recommend :)

Only great things to say. Annalise treated our dogs like they are her own. They took to her immediately. She was willing to come meet us a couple of times before our weekend away, so that the dogs would feel comfortable with her which likely made all the difference. We are already booking more visits!

Melissa was amazing with our boys. We booked on short notice and had minimal time to go through all of the details with her, but she was quick to understand the needs of the dogs. She updated us frequently with photos, and both dogs looked happy and well cared for throughout the trip. She also made a point to plan her schedule so that she could spend a lot of time with them. I am so grateful for Melissa spending her weekend sitting for us, and we would definitely book again!

This was our second (and certainly not last!) dog sitting experience with Megan. Fenway is so happy to hang with Megan and we are at peace knowing that both our boy and our home are in good hands. She is wonderful about providing pictures and updates as well!

Olivia was absolutely amazing. She stayed at our house for 5 days taking care of our 2 dogs & cat. The animals warmed up to her quickly and she sent daily updates/photos. It's very hard to trust a stranger staying in your home with your fur babies but she made it stress free & so simple for us. Definitely not a stranger to us anymore & we will hire her again. Highly recommend!
