She answered promptly and was very accommodating to our schedule. She walked our dog before we picked her up, so our dog would be able to sit for the long car ride home and not need to be relieved immediately. Yue was friendly and responsive.”

About: I don’t have pets of my own, but I have lived in several places with dogs or cats where I take on some caretaking responsibilities with the owner. Me and my partner are work from home and as homebodies we tend to stay in most nights, so we will always be available to watch/hang out with your fur babies! We have an open space with doors to block off certain areas as needed so we can always keep an eye on your dog or cat. We love to keep our place clean as well.

About: I've taken care of family dogs and I've volunteered at the rescue shelter "A way home for dogs" in San Diego. The volunteering mostly involves watching and restraining dogs as we got them acclimated to crowds of people. Currently free for the summer, so I'll have plenty of time to care for pets. I have no significant other commitments throughout the week. No children or other pets in my apartment. I'll dog walk and play with them. I live in a apartment complex with a friendly pet policy.

“We were visiting San Diego from out of state and needed doggie daycare while we went to a few places where we couldn’t bring our dog. Erion took wonderful care of Beebe. Their home has a backyard with easy access for dogs to run around and go potty, and their beagle was very sweet and gentle with our 11-pound dog. We especially appreciated the care and attention Erion gave Beebe, who has separation anxiety and can be a picky eater. Each day, they communicated with us about how he was doing and sent pictures and updates, which helped us feel very comfortable leaving him there. We also appreciated their kindness and flexibility with our varying drop-off and pick-up times. We had a great experience and would happily book with them again when we have a chance to visit San Diego in the future. We highly recommend Erion and Iris!”

About: I have owned three dogs, in which two are yorkies and one is a miniature schnauzer, in the past four years and have taken great care of them. I have been sitting dogs through Rover for over a year now. I currently study at UC San Diego, and I have plenty of time to play, go on walks and provide care for your furry friends. Your furry friend will be kept in a spacious room where I stay as well, they won’t be caged, but not allowed on the bed.

About: Hey there! I’m Brandon, and to put it simply: I absolutely adore animals. My main goal when hanging out with your pet isn't just to check boxes like feeding and walking—I really want to form a genuine bond with them! There is seriously nothing better than seeing an animal happy, playful, and completely comfortable around me. I’ve dog-sat for my neighbors' pets tons of times, so I'm super used to keeping track of feeding schedules, handling playtime, and making sure everyone stays safe and happy .I’m totally unfazed by the messy side of things. If a pup wants to chill on the couch and slobber all over me, I am 100% fine with that. I am currently working at Abercrombie & Fitch part time but can easily reschedule my shifts to accommodate for your pet as long as I have 3 day notice. I have balls and toys for your dog to play with as well as cleaning supplies just in case an accident may occur. I am very response to any calls or texts I may receive in regards to your pet.

“Shawna took amazing care of my 18-month-old Frenchie! From the moment we arrived for drop-off, she was warm, kind, professional, and ready to jump right in. I had never left my dog with a stranger before—especially someone I met online—so I was definitely hesitant. But after just one experience with Shawna, I can honestly say I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Throughout the day, she sent plenty of photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. It honestly looked like my pup was having the time of his life! I think he may have had more fun with Shawna than he did on our long car ride home. We were visiting the area for my daughter's birthday and staying at a pet-friendly hotel, but we didn't feel comfortable leaving him alone all day. Booking with Shawna ended up being one of the best decisions we made during our trip. She also has a friendly dog of her own and thoughtfully introduced them. They spent the day walking, sunbathing, playing, and cuddling, and it was obvious my Frenchie felt safe, happy, and loved. If you're on the fence about using Rover or booking with Shawna, don't be.
