“Jake was absolutely fantastic with our dog, Boychik. He braved the subfreezing temperatures and made sure our sweet boy had plenty of bathroom breaks. I can't thank Jake enough, he'll be my "go to" for any future travel.”

“Kristi was so great with Aurora. She came and stayed with her while I was away. Took her on plenty of walks, even gave her a couple baths when she got dirty. Will definitely use Kristi again if ever needed.”

“Brittany was a fantastic communicator. She went above and beyond when our sweet girl also didn’t want to eat, going to the store to get more food. We would definitely book her again!”

“Emily stayed with our dog and 2 cats for three days and was amazing! The animals loved her and she was very easy to work with. She was very responsive and sent us pictures each day of our babies. I highly recommend her and will be using her again I. The future.”

“Steven was a lifesaver! He took great care of our pups (4 y/o and 19-week-old). When we returned our home was in better shape than when we left. He’s very personable. 100% would recommend!”

“Hannah- Was reliable and followed the instructions we left. She left the house in great condition. She took care of the dogs and was honest and responsive throughout the trip. We would definitely use her again.”

“Renee is absolutely amazing. Our babies are just that... our babies. She has such a gift. I have NEVER gone on vacation and felt so comfortable in knowing they were in such good hands. Renee, I know we said this everyday....but Thank You! We're so happy to have found you!”

About: The only dog I haven't been able to wear out withstood a 6 mile run, an hour of fetch, and 20 minutes of tug o' war. I love playing and providing engaging training as well. I have a calm and friendly attitude that dogs love and can comfort the most timid of pets. I have rescued abused dogs and am familiar with how emotionally damaged dogs interact and adjust. I provide cautious and professional care while entertaining your pet. I have experience administering simple medications and treatments. My experience ranges from puppies to elderly dogs and terriers to pit bulls to 90 lb labs. Exceptional care from a life long dog lover. I also love doing commissioned pet portraits outside of Rover (see my cover photo).

“Kayla was amazing! She took wonderful care of our fur baby while we were gone and made sure to send multiple updates along with pictures every day. We will be rebooking her whenever we need someone to watch him again. We will also be recommending her to any and all friends looking for a wonderful, reliable sitter. 10/10 recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was little, including fish, guinea pigs, dogs, and cats. Within the last five years I have primarily done care with large animals, dogs, cats, and small pets. I love caring for all animals and spending time with them, giving them all the love they deserve! From large animals to small, I love them all. Experience Ranges From… * Dogs * Cats * Fish * Small Pets * Reptiles * Senior Pets * Puppies * Kittens * Non-Potty Pets I have personal experience in senior dog care from my own senior puppy, Gracie. Care ranged from carrying her up and down the stairs to laying with her on the floor, anything they need is what they get with me! My experience also ranges into physical exercise with my fur baby Oliver, who loves to go for runs while he attempts to chase squirrels with me. While I’m with your pet you can know they will be the center of attention and receive all the love and attention they could dream of. My priority is to honor you as a pet parent and care for your baby just as you would! I work part time and have all the time for your fur babies! I build my day around the care of my two babies and you can expect me to do the same for yours. I love exercising with my dog Oliver and doing whatever he wants to do, from napping to play time! In your home you can expect me to follow your care instructions for your baby. Every animal is unique and has their own set of needs so I will care for them as you see fit!
“Beka was hands down the best Rover experience I’ve had and I can’t recommend her enough. My wife and I were out of the country for 10 days and she provided thoughtful care for our dogs and cats. One of our dogs wasn’t eating much while we were gone and she went, on her own time, and got them all kinds of different things to encourage then eat. Additionally she spent a lot of time at each visit making sure everyone got love and attention. If we ever need pet sitting again we will be going to her.”

“My husband and I were super hesitant to have a stranger come stay in our home to take care of our dogs. Alexa’s profile really stood out when we hesitantly reviewed profiles on Rover, not only because she has such great reviews, but so many people rebook her. We can see why! Before booking she came out to meet all of us to ensure that we felt comfortable. She showed up exactly when she said she would, was communicative and sent pictures while we were away, and left our home just as we had left it. We will absolutely hire her again in the future. We know she made our boys much more comfortable than they would have been boarding.”

“Kaylie took great care of my dog, King, while I was out of town, and I couldn't be happier! She was super responsive, sent me updates and adorable pictures, and really made me feel at ease. She also took excellent care of my house. I loved that she put on the dog sounds channel for King—such a nice touch! I highly recommend Kaylie to anyone in need of a fantastic pet sitter!”

“JaNasia is incredibly kind, patient, and responsible. She was able to handle our small zoo without issue and was always responsive and easy to reach. Will definitely be reaching out to book with her again!”

About: I am a full time nanny (except Mondays and Thursdays) that has not only taken care of the kids but also dogs! Most recently I have been raising a golden doodle from puppyhood up and stay active with him while at work, loving him and keeping him engaged with walks and play! It’s a passion of mine and I can’t wait to show you that during my time caring for your pets!! I am available to help Mondays and Thursdays! Jacob took amazing care of my dog! We were so worried about leaving our dog for the first time. Jacob checked in everyday with pictures and updates. Our dog is very high energy and requires a great amount of stimulation. We left our pup in the best possible care and will definitely be using Jacob's services in the future.

Kayla was awesome. She kept in touch with updates about our babies and sent pics. Our babies were very happy when we got home and our place looked great. She cleaned up after them as well. Thank you for making our long trip enjoyable while we were away from our 4-legged family! I'd recommend to anyone.

She did great! The only thing I would ask for is more updates! We particularly love a lot of updates and pictures! But other than that she handled their care well! And our house was exactly the way we left it if not cleaner!!! She took care of the meds the best she could with a difficult cat and she took care of our other animals with exceptional care!

Cory was wonderful! He gave in depth updates and was very responsive. Mara had some vomiting, which isn’t normal for her, and he took great care of her and eased my fears that something serious might be wrong. She was in perfect health and very happy when we got back. This was the first time we had been away this long now that Mara is an old girl, and I was nervous to leave her, but Cory took excellent care of her and all my babies!

I don’t think I can say enough good things about Nina. Everything she did was above and beyond for our two doodles and home while we were away! She sent so many fun pictures and videos of the boys with detailed updates daily, from their adventures and how they did with food/pottying. She truly loved them like they were her own and we are SO thankful we found her. She even tidied up the house for us while we were away which was so sweet and appreciated! We’ll absolutely be using her again.

We could not have asked for a better sitter, especially over Christmas. She cared for our dogs and cat for a full week during the holidays and went far above and beyond what we expected. Our dog Nemo can be very difficult with eating, and she was incredibly patient — even spoon-feeding him to make sure he ate. That alone meant the world to us. She handled all of our pets with so much care, attention, and kindness, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. She kept us updated, treated our animals like her own, and truly went the extra mile during a busy holiday week. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets, and that peace of mind is priceless. We would 100% book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, compassionate, and dedicated sitter.

I’m always nervous to leave my dogs with a new sitter, but Lauren was great and alleviated my concerns by sending regular updates and pictures! She took good care of my girls, making sure they got their meds and lots of love while I was gone. Definitely recommended her services!

Annabel was great! She was very good at communicating while we were setting up her visit. She sent pics of our pup and checked in regularly while we were gone. She was a very kind and trusting person. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her for anyone considering her for a sitter!
Eva was a phenomenal in house dog sitter! Communicative, attentive, caring and thorough. My wife and I truly felt like Eva cared for our dogs as much as we do, which isn’t something we’ve found in other sitters on this app. We found our forever sitter in Eva and will be recommending her to all that ask!
Second time having Kenneth take care of our senior dog, and we were again very happy with how he cared for our boy. Great communication throughout our trip as we like. He stays in our home so we also appreciate the care and respect he gives our house. Definitely recommend!
Luis was wonderful with our two dogs while we were away on vacation. Great communication and photos. He even ran out to pick up some doggie supplies that we ran out of and made sure the house looked perfect for when we arrived home. Very impressive! We will definitely use Luis again!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kings Grant walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kings Grant maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kings Grant choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
