About: I have been a dog owner for 10 years! I also have owned cats and ferrets in the past! I have experience with dogs ranging from puppies to seniors. I currently live in the Virginia Beach area but live and go to school at William and Mary where I have pets I care for regularly! I do work about 20 hours a week at my regular job but typically do not work until later in the afternoon. About: I’ve cared for dogs through pet ownership and dog sitting and really enjoy having them around. I have a fenced yard and two small dogs at home. I send daily updates with photos and videos and follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible. We keep our home clean and wash beddings and covers between stays to help provide a comfortable environment for all dogs. I only take small dogs since I have two small dogs of my own, and that’s what works best in our home. It keeps things calm and safe for everyone. I work morning shifts on weekdays, so dogs get potty breaks before work and plenty of playtime, walks, and attention when I get home. On weekends, we’re usually home and spend lots of time with our guests. If the weather cooperates and your dog enjoys walks, we’re happy to take them to nearby parks and outdoor areas. We’re happy to follow your dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special instructions. We know every dog is different and want them to feel comfortable while they’re with us. Pets stay in a supervised home with a fenced yard and two small dogs. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, potty breaks, medications, and any special instructions, and I always supervise dogs during playtime and yard time. I also send regular photo and video updates so owners can stay connected and feel at ease during their pet’s stay.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 11. I recently had to let my two girls go, so I’m looking forward to loving on your babies. I have experience with puppies all the way to senior dogs. Both of my girls needed medication towards the end, so I’m familiar with administering pills on a schedule and anything else that goes with owning a senior dog. My oldest had dementia, so if your pup has that, I can handle the quirks that come with that. I’ve also watched my friends bigger dogs, and they love just as much cuddles as the little ones do. Taking your fur baby out for walks, cuddling with them, and playing with their favorite toys would bring so much joy. You’ll have peace of mind (and updates) if you let me take care of them like you would. I am a teacher, so during the weekends and summer I have all the time to spoil your precious baby. Being a teacher also means I can spend extended time with your pet during the summer. I’m very good at following schedules and routines to help make your pet feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I will love on them, play with them, and do anything else you need so both of you feel relaxed while you’re at work or on a trip.

Mike walks Roscoe after breakfast and dinner. Since Roscoe is a senior, we frequently split the two meals into snacks and shorter walks. When the cats are interested, they climb into the backpacks and go see the world with us. I pay attention to the animals' behavior and routines. Consistency in feeding and bathroom breaks has made my pets very comfortable with my work and social routines. I have the flexibility to meet your routines and maintain the consistency you expect with your family while away from home. I recognize when it's time to stop playing, reduce the mileage, or go to the vet.

About: I've grown up surrounded by animals my entire life, and that hands-on experience is what truly sets me apart. I was raised with three cats (2 indoor, 1 outdoor), caring for them from kittenhood all the way through end-of-life care, including demanding daily routines and administering medication. I also have two dogs of my own: a Mini Australian Shepherd I raised from a puppy and personally trained. He’s so smart he keeps me on my toes, which means I know exactly how to handle high-energy, high-drive breeds and the escape artists of the dog world. The other is a large pitty mix we adopted at age two who came to us with leash pulling, reactivity, excessive barking, and rough play habits, all of which I've worked through and successfully managed. I know how to confidently handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Beyond cats and dogs, I've owned two guinea pigs, a hamster, and fish, so I understand the specific and often overlooked needs of small pets too. I've also assisted my sister in fostering cats, many of whom were shy, post-surgical, or required medication and special feeding instructions, so I'm completely comfortable with pets that need a little extra patience and TLC. Most recently, I pet sat a kitten over spring break 2026, and I'm always happy to sit for other pet owners' animals as well. As a sophomore in Alpha Chi Omega, I bring the same reliability, respect, and communication to pet sitting that I bring to everything I do. I treat every pet as if they were my own, follow your routines to the letter, and love keeping owners in the loop with regular updates, photos, and videos, as often as you'd like. If you're looking for someone experienced, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about animals, I'm your person! I currently only have one exam left, so my schedule is essentially wide open! I'm in Blacksburg and available May 9–12 and May 16–22, with virtually nothing on my plate during those windows. Whether you need someone for a full house sit, multiple check-ins throughout the day, early morning visits, or late night drop-ins, I can make it work. Just note that I live in an apartment, so I don't have a fenced-in yard, but my complex has a dog park and is surrounded by beautiful neighborhood nature trails that are perfect for walks and exploring. I'd also ask that you send everything your pet needs along with them (crate, food/water bowls, bed, toys, leash, etc.) so they have the comfort of their own familiar belongings, which is honestly better for them anyway!

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have been sitting since I was a kid. I love animals but I especially love dogs - your fur baby and I will be best friends while you are away. I love going on walks and playing fetch, and generally just doing what I can to make sure your dog is well cared for. I have experience giving dogs medications, baths, etc. I have experience with 8 week old puppies as well as elderly dogs. I’m a graduate student with night class two nights a week, but otherwise I work from home. Making sure your pets get needed attention won’t be an issue for me! I only care for pets in the owners home, that way your fur baby stays where they are familiar and comfortable. I am very clean and tidy and will ensure that I clean up after myself while staying with your pet.
