Hello, my name is Deanna. I have had dogs and cats my entire life, and I have 4 years of professional animal handling experience. I’ve been managing a doggy daycare and boarding facility in Virginia Beach for 3 years, and worked as a kennel attendant at the same place for 1 year prior to stepping into management. I’ve handled dogs of all sizes, temperaments, ages, and medical needs. In addition to dog handling I have also had hands on experience with cats and birds/reptiles/and small mammals. I am familiar with dog and cat first aid, and comfortable+knowledgable on administering medications and injectables such as insulin. I am leaving my full time animal care job to start school, and that gives me the ability to set my own schedule and continue to work with animals. I have my own 3 pets, 2 of them being reactive rescues, one of which I have fully obedience trained myself. I am very comfortable going slow with nervous dogs, and handling big excited dogs!
