About: With over 50 years of hands-on experience in pet care. I've dedicated my life to understanding and supporting the well-being of animals, especially dogs. For 8 years, I have worked as a veterinary technician, where i gained in-depth medical knowledge and practical skills in animal heath, emergency care and preventative treatment. My background also includes extensive experience in both basic and advanced dog training focusing on obedience, behavior modification and building strong bods between pets and their owners. Over the decades I've cared for animals of all ages, breeds and temperaments - from raising litters of puppies and kittens to providing compassionate support for senior pets. My approach combines patience, consistency and a deep respect and love for every animal's unique personality and needs. Things to consider prior to booking: • Are they friendly with other pets? I have one dog and 3 cats in our home. • Are they able to jump a 5ft fence? • Are they protected against Heartworm, Fleas and Ticks? • Potty Trained? I am happy to help train but just need to know ahead of time. • Up to date on all vaccines? • Big chewers? • Let us know if your pet has any special need or accommodation we should account for! I can accommodate a variety of needs! I am happy to provide whatever care your pet needs & make sure they are happy & comfortable in our home. A few things to know about what I offer: 100% Love and Care I take photos of your pet (I am not a professional photographer) – I will try not to overwhelm you! I do not require a meet and greet but am happy to do so. My preference is to introduce your pet(s) to mine slowly and very controlled environment. SAFETY is my #1 Concern for your pets and for mine. What to bring for your stay: Collar with a tag & leash Food (Label with the amount per meal) - Slow feeder if needed Medications, if needed Kennel (for boarding stays) - Anything to make them comfortable in their kennel (blanket, toys, bed) I generally don’t use a kennel if they are good house guests (no destruction or accidents) they can have house privileges. I will provide: Water Bowls (I have many throughout the house and outside) Foods Bowls Toys - Treats - Chew bones & treats Dog beds around the house (I have many) A Typical Day can be: Wake up and take them out to potty (I have a big, fenced back yard). Feed them breakfast Out for potty about 2 hours (or sooner) after breakfast. Relax, play and/or snooze as they want. Potty breaks are directed by their needs, they let me know they need to potty, and we go outside (I am their servant, and I stay with them while they are outside). They potty and play and then we come in. This goes on all day as needed. Cuddles on command and if they just want to lay around, I’m ok with that as well. I have taken all my dogs (past and present) through many different levels of training session – Puppy, Basic and Advanced. Let me know what you need, and I am happy to help. SPECIAL NOTE with Regard to Cats Cats do their own things and totally dictate their day to day and I respect and honor their wishes! I do have a room set up that they can call their own (if needed) and I have a secure Catio they can hang out in and enjoy fresh air. I am retired and love to help people and their pets. I have lots of free time and want to offer my knowledge and experience to people who have busy lives but want the best for their furbabies. I live on 3/4 acre and I have a large fenced in back yard. I do have a dog and 3 cats at home so any pets that need to be watched at my home need to be able to get along with them. I am dependable, trustworthy and honest and can also take care of your pets in your home. If you need to know anything else, please ask.

“We are so grateful we found Rus! He was such a lifesaver, stepping in on short notice to watch our pup Tux and our cat Beans while we were away. From the start, he was super communicative, sent tons of photo updates, and made us feel completely at ease. He was also super flexible when our plans changed and we needed a couple extra visits, which we really appreciated. Honestly, he went above and beyond... We could tell from how happy and relaxed the boys were when we got home that they were in the best hands. We’ll 100% be booking with him again. So excited to have found such an amazing local sitter!”

“Very helpful and has watched my cat quite a few times, most recently on pretty short notice too. Definitely would recommend to anyone needing a dependable sitter!”

“Derek provided excellent service and cat care during my absence! From the initial inquiry to the final day, communication was friendly, prompt and clear. My cat was relaxed and comfortable with Derek, evident from the initial meet and greet, as well as the pictures he sent while I was gone. Upon return, my cat seemed content, and all her tasks and needs fulfilled. Derek's skill and experience with cats and cat sitting were apparent and appreciated in my experience!”

About: I'm a cheaper sitter who likes animals. I've taken care of pets and understand that every pet is different. Thank you if you choose me. I am free all week, any time, anywhere within 50 miles of my location. I can do whatever you ask for a decent price. This is all I’m really doing right now. I follow instructions to a t and use common sense to fill in any blanks. I will not treat your pet less than the small or big chunk of dopamine that walks our earth.

About: I am a responsible and reliable person who loves animals, has had five dogs of her own, and wants to help others keep their pets happy and healthy. I’m currently working a shifted schedule. Saturday I am off most of the day. Sunday and Monday I am off the whole day. This is great for people with busy weekend schedules or long work days who need some extra help. I am also an early riser everyday, so I can let you run out of the door without worry or you can just sleep in and know your pet is covered. I ensure all doors are closed and locked when visiting your pup. If we’re leaving for a walk, my attention is fully on the safety of the dog. No matter what, I preemptively cross the street if another person or dog is approaching so we have a fun and safe walk.

“Samantha was wonderful with my cats! She sent great photos and gave detailed updates. She truly made me feel like she cared deeply about my cats’ wellbeing while I was away and made me less worried about being away!”

“Rachel did an amazing job with two of my kitties, one of which was a senior and not feeling well. She responded very quickly and took a last minute booking over Christmas and was very kind about it. Her updates were very thorough and she took pictures of the litter box for me to help monitor my sick senior. Really really impressed.”

“Overall did a decent job. Made sure our cats had food and water and that the litter box was cleaned up. I would have liked more photos and more feedback each day. I appreciated the times that the broom and dustpan pan was used to sweep up extra litter, but maybe put it back in the closet next time instead of across the kitchen counter and stove since that’s where food is prepared. Also, appears that the dust pan chipped somehow and I found the piece over by the tv stand and it came to a sharp point. I don’t care that the dust pan chipped or how it even happened, it’s plastic, but I wouldn’t have wanted my cats to get a hold of that and something accidentally happen.”

About: I grew up with dogs and small animals, and I’ve cared for pets at every stage of life, including comforting a big dog scared of storms and giving medications to cranky senior animals. I have two cats and a 9-yr-old chinchilla with big personalities. I know pets are our family members, and I look forward to caring for yours! Available for drop-ins and walks in the evenings and weekends. I live in River Market and work in midtown, so I can be available for some morning or lunchtime needs in those areas. I can house-sit nearby, too. Im very respectful and love detailed instructions. I’ve owned feisty, picky pets, so I’m happy to do whatever your animals need! I know it can be stressful having someone else come into your home and care for your pets, so I’ll take every measure to make sure you and your animals are comfortable

About: Had animals in my house since I was a child (dogs and cats). I have experience with animals of all ages which include puppies and senior animals. I work from home three times a week which gives me time for quick mid day walks/check-ups. I also could check in on your pet in the afternoon and early morning! I live in an apartment that has open outdoor space. I currently have a kitty of my own who does well with other animals !

About: Growing up with German Shepherds and a corgi, I learned patience, training skills, and responsibility. I also had two horses and often volunteered at the local stables caring for others' horses. Since then neighbors and friends have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their pets. I hope to care for yours as well! I am currently working a full-time job, but I can care for pets in the evenings, on weekends, and I can house sit during trips or longer absences. I am unable to bring pets into my current home, but in my car I can transport your pets to necessary appointments or to favored dog parks. Whatever training you have with your pet, I will maintain, whether that means crate training or keeping pets out of certain locations in your home.

Ann J.

“I can’t say enough great things about Ann and the care she provided for my Tuva! As any puppy owner knows, young dogs require a lot of time, attention, and patience—and she handled everything with ease, warmth, and professionalism. From our first meeting, it was clear that Ann has a real love for animals and a natural ability to connect with them. My furbaby instantly took to her, and I felt confident leaving my little one in their care. Ann was attentive to my Furbaby's routine, including feeding schedules, potty training needs, playtime, and even basic obedience practice. They also sent regular updates and photos while I was away, which gave me total peace of mind. It was obvious that my baby was not only well cared for but truly happy and engaged the whole time. If you’re looking for someone dependable, kind, and experienced with young dogs, I highly recommend Ann Jones as a puppy sitter. I’m incredibly grateful for their help and will absolutely be booking with them again in the future! Rosemarie Jones”
