“Mia has been a great walker got my dog. She bonded with him easily and was flexible around weather and My dog’s occasional refusal to walk very far. I will definitely re-hire her and recommend her to others.”

About: Hello! My name is Megan and I live in Hyde Park. I have two cats, Simone and Spicy Boy, who are wonderful. I've looked after a variety of animals from rabbits to doggos. I'm interested in connecting with HP neighbors who need a reliable cat sitter or occasional dog walker. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! *Please take note - I am unavailable for midday drop-ins on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I work part-time for a small boutique and my schedule is very flexible. Wed, Thurs, and Sat I have less flexibility in the afternoons. My main mode of transport is by bicycle and I would love to assist neighbors with cats and small/medium dogs in their homes. Each pet and family is unique, with their rhythms and preferences. I always appreciate hearing insight into your animal's personality and your family's preferences for care. All animals deserve patience and respect as they navigate a world largely designed by humans. I prefer to meet with clients and their pets at their home before the start of the booking.

“No complaints! Still managed to get our dogs walked even with a broken finger! Loved the daily pics and updates. Was always on time. Would love to work with her again.”

“Pleasant. Professional. Proficient. Walks for the enjoyment of the animal. She gives her all to make sure your pet has a good walk and exercise. Highly recommend as a dog walker of your family pet”

About: I have grown up with many dogs. My childhood dog grew up with me and I learned to love and take care of a dog with her. Since then I have cared for many other dogs. Most dogs I have cared for have medical needs such as medication or certain foods. While I have a soft spot in my heart (and much experience) with senior dogs, everyone loves a puppy too! I have taken care of many high energy puppies who need to play! I am available most time! I work on call so my schedule remains fairly open! I am an early riser and love a morning pet session! With my pets in my homes, I ensure they are provided evweything they need and more. Safety health and well-being are top priorities for all animals in my life. I want to ensure there is nothing toxic for your furry friend to get into, while also providing engaging activities for them!

“Megan did an excellent job of taking care of Kaia. First, she anticipated the forecasted rain and she adjusted her walk schedule with Kaia to avoid the downpour. She communicates well and took pictures of our dog’s shenanigans. We are very thankful for her service and would gladly work with her again.”

About: I have lived with and cared for dogs of all shapes and sizes for approximately four years at this point. This has included elderly dogs which required specific care attention (medication, unique food regimen, etc). I try to maintain a friendly and eager connection with each dog to establish trust and companionship. I am happy going on short or long walks to get them the exercise and stimulation they need. I am available during the workday most days for dog walking. For in-home visits, especially with an extended time requirement, I can only manage one per day, due to mobility limitations via transit. In a client’s home, I will be sure to respect the space and only handle the necessary materials for pet care (communication about what is needed is very helpful in this regard!).

About: I've dog sat for friends and care for them like they're my own. Love to play around give out lots of cuddles/belly rubs. Like to keep dogs active, fed and hydrated. Always watching for pups needs. My schedule is pretty flexible between pilates training and such so i have TIME. Generally available 10 AM - 6 PM. I'll adjust my availability as pilates picks up so for now i'm pretty open. I like to follow owner's instructions for their babies. I love to go for walks around Hyde Park/ Lake side. If the owner has specific tricks/treats, i'm happy to share them with pups.

“Mother-in-law said Stella LOVED Bola and was so excited for all her walks!! The only thing she would change to make this a 5 start rating was the inconsistancy of arrival time and lack of communication in regards to being late. Overall, amazing service!! We look forward to working with Bola again in the near future!!”

About: I have lived my entire life with dogs. My first dog was a year old when I was born, she lived a beautiful life until she was 15. My family then brought in another sweet black lab, which I primarily raised and trained. I have also raised and trained a chocolate lab, she is currently 6. I have recently moved to Chicago from the east coast and truly miss my fur babies. I currently work for a college as a football coach, with a very flexible summer schedule. My busy time is the fall, when our season starts. A lot of my work outside of practices and games, can be done remotely. Each pet will have different needs. You cannot treat and care for every pet the same. I will try to maintain your pets routine and schedule to the best of my ability

I have been a volunteer at the Humane Society of Missouri. I am an animal lover would care for your fur babies as my own. When taking care of your pet, I will send regular updates and photos so while your away you wont have to worry about a thing. If you have anymore questions or other requests like water your plants or bringing in mail while I check on your pets feel free to message me for further details. I look forward to meeting your pets! I work full time so I am available weekdays mornings before 9 am and evenings after 5pm. On weekends I am available any time and mostly during holidays. I have experience with animals personally and volunteering at animal shelter so I am comfortable taking care of cats and dogs. On a personal note I am a calm person which I think helps keeping animals calm.

About: I grew up around cats of all temperaments and ages, and have spent a lot of time with family dogs. I am a proud cat mom of a 14 year old tabby who I raised from a kitten and 90% of my phone memory is photos of her. In high school I volunteered for a dog walking charity and recently fostered rescue cats to help them readjust to home-life. I have cared for cats recovering from injury and been responsible for elderly cats needing medication. I am the go-to pet sitter amongst my friends and family for both cats and dogs because I am respectful, reliable and enthusiastic. When pet sitting, I give regular updates and am happy to be contacted at any time with questions or concerns. I am happy feeding and walking dogs. With cats, I am available to feed and check in on them, including changing their litter trays. Most importantly, I will give my time and affection to your pets. I am available on weekdays during the day, meaning I have plenty of time to care for your pets. I am also available most holidays. I am very respectful of other people's homes and pets. I will follow instructions and remain within designated areas. I am also happy to water plants etc - just let me know.

About: I grew up with a beautiful cat named Dimitri, and he was always so important to me; he made me so happy. I always thought we had a special bond between the two of us. Then, 8 years ago, we brought home a puppy named Walter. He was a lot to handle at first, but quickly became a member of the family. I have learned through them, and through helping out in the neighborhood, how to care for dogs and cats, and I love doing it. I’m new to Hyde Park and to Chicago after recently graduating college. I’m looking for part-time work as I try to make connections in a career field I am passionate about - audio, radio, media. In the meantime, I am looking for work and some extra spending money. I will have lots of time available to care for your pet, and they will be great company to me on walks, runs, or around my apartment as I get settled in here. I live in a safe area on U Chicago’s campus near many parks and near nice walking paths. I live in a large pet-friendly apartment, and I have a car for reliable transportation.

“Papito seemed to have had a positive experience with Paloma. She is punctual, repeats instructions for clarity, communicates issues, and uses the app to alert me when Papito is tended to—all of which is appreciated.”

She sends regular photos and updates about how Von is doing when he's in her care, and she makes him feel loved. She also takes nice care of your home when you're away. Megan genuinely loves dogs and cats (she's a cat mom to two rescues!) and has much experience caring for animals. You will be able to trust Megan to take good care of your beloved pets!”
