“Haley was very friendly, and kept us well updated each day on how out cat was doing. Gus warmed up to her instantly. We would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter, and look forward to using her again in the future.”

“I’ve had a great experience with Christina! She is reliable, caring, and always takes great care of my dog. I really appreciate knowing my dog is in good hands while I’m away. She does a wonderful job, is dependable, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pets!”

About: Hi! I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels for most of my life. I’ve had dogs my entire life and cats of my own for 10 years, and I began pet sitting at 16. I’m comfortable with active and senior pets, structured routines, and medication administration. I follow instructions closely, provide reliable updates, and keep clients’ homes clean and secure. I’m currently taking a planned career sabbatical while attending school and pursuing professional development. I welcome one-time and recurring walks, drop-ins, and house sits. . Beginning August 20, I have class Tuesdays and Thursdays. On these days, I can provide early-morning and late-afternoon or evening care but will be away during normal working hours. I may also have evening commitments or part-time service shifts. . I keep my calendar current and confirm exact availability before booking. I expect clients to clearly communicate their requested schedule and services. . SERVICE AREA I’m based in Hyde Park and primarily serve clients within roughly two miles of my home—generally no more than a 20-minute bike ride. I may accept requests outside this area for an additional travel fee. . I expect to relocate closer to the Loop or Medical District in late September or early October. I welcome recurring arrangements now, including inquiries from clients near my anticipated future service area. Availability and travel pricing for care continuing after my move will be reconfirmed once my new address is finalized. . PRICING Listed rates reflect standard care. Custom pricing may apply for medication administration, medical monitoring, extended in-home presence, significant travel, or other care beyond my standard services. Any adjustment will be discussed and confirmed through Rover before booking. . CANCELLATIONS Bookings are subject to my seven-day cancellation policy. Please notify me promptly if your plans change. House sitting includes overnight care. Standard house sitting does not include continuous or 24-hour presence; pets must be able to remain safely alone during agreed timeframes. I leave as needed to care for my own cat and attend class or other scheduled obligations. . Drop-ins and walks are provided for the booked 30 or 60 minutes. Requested care must reasonably fit within that time; clients with more involved routines should book 60 minutes. . Walks are paced to each dog’s age, health, energy, and training using client-provided equipment and instructions regarding routes, commands, and reactivity. . For all services, I follow entry and alarm instructions, confirm that pets and the home are secure before leaving, and provide an update after each visit.
About: I have experience caring for both energetic dogs who need structure and movement, as well as more sensitive pets who benefit from patience, gentle routines, and clear communication. I’m organized, responsive, and great at managing schedules—skills I use every day in my professional work and bring directly into pet care. I pay attention to details, follow instructions carefully, and make sure owners feel fully informed while they’re away. I’m a reliable and attentive weekend pet sitter based in Boston, and I take pride in creating a calm, safe, and caring environment for every animal I look after. I work a full-time remote job during the week, but on weekends I’m fully dedicated to pet care—whether that means long walks, dedicated playtime, or simply keeping your pet company and relaxed at home. As someone who values consistency and trust, I make sure every pet gets thoughtful, individualized attention. Whether your pet needs slow, steady walks, a playful activities, or lots of affection, I’m here to help your weekend feel stress-free. About: I've taken care of dogs (big and small of different kinds) since I was 10. My family and neighbors have relied on me to walk, bathe, feed and play with their pets when needed. I've worked with both puppies and senior dogs, providing the care and attention they deserve. I'm an incoming freshman in college so I have plenty of time to care for your dogs! I am available Sunday through Wednesday from 8 am - 8 pm for dog sitting and dog walking. I do work part-time and can accommodate to a schedule that works well for us both. I am very mindful of fences as I watch your dog and will ensure the area is secure before they are let into the yard. Relating to walks, I will always ensure your dog is secure and that my attention is fully on them to ensure their safety. If there is anything I need to know about your dog and their health that will be vital to my service, please let me know!
“It is clear Paloma knows how cats are and how to approach them. Koji is a very shy cat and Paloma most definitely got her to come out of her comfort zone without stressing her out.”

“Evan did a wonderful job watching our cat for a long weekend. He was communicative and responsive, which made us feel comfortable and confident that our cat was in great hands.”

About: Hey! I’m Patricia, and I’ve been caring for pets since I was 14 years old. I recently took a break after moving away for college, but now that I’m back, I’m excited to start pet sitting again! I’m responsible, reliable, and will treat your pets like they’re my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or keeping them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your pawfect family! 🐾🤍🤍 My schedule is very flexible, and I’m currently available Monday through Friday at any time since I’m not in school right now. On weekends, I’m available from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible and look forward to providing dependable, loving care for your pets! I always keep plenty of treats on hand (with your permission) and live near a park, making it easy to take dogs on fun, safe walks and give them the exercise they need. I’m also happy to provide care in your home if your pet is more comfortable in their familiar environment. Whether I’m caring for your pet at my place or yours, I’ll make sure they receive lots of attention, affection, and the best care possible while you’re away.
About: I’ve always been the go-to among family and friends to watch their animals when they are gone for trips or vacations or need extra help. I’m an avid walker in general, and a walk is always better with a pet! I’ve volunteered for two years at animal shelters, trained and raised a puppy, and have experience caring for pets young and old. I’m currently a writer, remote copy-editor, and substitute teacher with an incredibly flexible schedule at the moment. I can watch, walk, and care for dogs and cats pretty much 24/7 at the moment. The only thing I cannot do is host animals in my home due to my apartment’s lease. Every pet is different and every pet owner cares for their pet differently. Let me know all your animals quirks and needs and I’ll meet them happily! I’d love to walk your dog around the park or neighborhood, give them them their special treats, respect your cat’s weird boundaries and quirks, etc, etc. :)

About: As a big sister and true animal lover, I have delighted in taking responsibility and caring for the children and fur-babies of family, friends, and neighbors for most of my life. My experience with dogs and cats is extensive, including: extended periods of 24/7 care for varying ages, sizes, and needs; following veterinary instructions for administering medications; and providing proper everyday care such as bathing, feeding, walking, and basic grooming, and of course plenty of play-time and snuggles! For walks and check-ins I am flexibly available on Saturdays and Sundays, and during the week I am available Tuesdays 3pm - 6pm, Wednesdays 8am - 11am, and Fridays 1pm - 6pm. I am also able to provide overnight/multiday care at my home for cat-friendly pets. My apartment is a spacious 3 bed/2 bath (I have 3 couches to choose from for naptime and snuggles!), with plenty of parks, trails and green spaces nearby to walk and play. I have a sweet kitty at home who loves to play with other cats, and dogs too! Some things to keep in mind when deciding if my home is right for your fur-baby's stay: I live on the 2nd floor and my building does not have an elevator; if your pet uses a crate you will need to provide this for their stay; I have a cat and so will only be able to welcome cat-friendly pets to my home.
“Q has quickly become our go-to pet sitter. She always provides top-notch care, and we love that she is often accompanied by her son, who our cat absolutely adores.”

“Thanks so much Che Maria, your description sounds completely typical of our quirky diva! Also appreciate your flexibility and responsiveness as we worked out all of the details!”

About: Taking care of dogs was the first job I ever had. Neighbors would have me come over after school to check in with their babies and play with them or take them on walks. I've also been lucky enough to watch people's dogs while they were out of town; including puppies! Most recently, I volunteered at an animal shelter where we would take animals for walks, train them, bathe them, and shower them with love and treats! Every dog is unique, and I enjoy taking the time to get to know each animal and their family. I am currently working part-time with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to accommodate specific schedules and adapt to individual needs. I always approach caring for animals with safety and respect as a first priority. It is important to me that both the dog and I are safe, and that I am attuned to their needs. I also want to prioritize respect for other people's space and time, so I make an effort to always be on time and adapt to any individual requests in people's homes.
About: I’ve taken care of my own dog and cat for 7 years and before then was the go to sitter for all my friends with pets! I’m also a PhD student in psychology working in animal behaviors. Since young, I understand animals and respect them: how we treat them influences their behaviors. I’ve got the heart and the training to give your babies the best care they deserve when you are away! My schedule is flexible as long as we communicate in advance. Mornings work the best at the moment but let me know what you need I’ll try to make it work :) I have a comfy apartment with one dog and one cat. They’ll keep your baby company if you board with us. I’m skilled in introducing new animals to each other, I try to adjust to each animals temperaments. On other visits I try to get to your babies first as well, and of course your tips are always appreciated as you know them the best!

About: I grew up with family cats and have also loved dog-sitting for friends and family over the years. I love animals and know how important it is to find a reliable, caring walker or sitter while you are away for peace of mind. I'm committed to making sure your pet is comfortable, safe, and having fun, and would be happy to send you plenty of updates and photos! In terms of your pet's experience with me, I typically only take on one Rover client at a time so I can make sure your pet gets the individualized attention and care they deserve and that we can stick more closely to their routine. I have a lot of flexibility in my daily schedule so I'm very happy to work with you to accommodate your needs or adjust if things change. For boarding, I live with my boyfriend in a spacious condo in Hyde Park, so there's plenty of room for your pet to play, get their zoomies out, or find a spot for some alone time. Although I'm the primary caregiver, he is also always up for a belly scratch or round of tug of war, so I consider him a nice bonus for your pet :) We live on a quiet one-way street on the top floor so there is minimal street noise and overstimulation. For house sitting, I know that your pets may be happiest in their own space, and I'm comfortable working in different environments to make sure they are safe and comfy! I will always be respectful of your space and communicative if any issues come up.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Hyde Park is $20
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hyde Park
Coretta took amazing care of my cat, by following all instructions and making sure she was cared for appropriately. She even went the extra mile by asking questions for clarity when needed, and checking on the litter box without being asked. I’m very grateful, and couldn’t have asked either of us to have a better experience.

I’ve had a great experience with Christina! She is reliable, caring, and always takes great care of my dog. I really appreciate knowing my dog is in good hands while I’m away. She does a wonderful job, is dependable, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pets!

Im a first time user of the Rover app and was extremely nervous, to trust someone with my dog! Carmen eased every fear. She extremely patient, compassionate and detailed oriented. Chloe can be a real sour patch, yet she took on the challenge & Chloe loves her now. 10/10 definitely recommend & would book again. THANK YOU So much for a great first experience.

Maya took great care of both my indoor and outdoor cats while I was away. She was in regular communication with me about whether or not the cats were visible during her drop-ins, as well as how open they were to getting some rubs and TLC. She even brought my dumpsters back into my yard on trash day and made sure packages delivered to my home made it safely inside. Maya is a sweetheart and I absolutely plan on having her care for my babies for my next extended out of town trip!
