About: I’ve taken care of my own dog and cat for 7 years and before then was the go to sitter for all my friends with pets! I’m also a PhD student in psychology working in animal behaviors. Since young, I understand animals and respect them: how we treat them influences their behaviors. I’ve got the heart and the training to give your babies the best care they deserve when you are away! My schedule is flexible as long as we communicate in advance. Mornings work the best at the moment but let me know what you need I’ll try to make it work :) I have a comfy apartment with one dog and one cat. They’ll keep your baby company if you board with us. I’m skilled in introducing new animals to each other, I try to adjust to each animals temperaments. On other visits I try to get to your babies first as well, and of course your tips are always appreciated as you know them the best!
About: I treat every pet like family, patient, observant, and caring. I may be new, but I come with love, responsibility, and a pocket of treats Working full time with reduced summer hours, plus weekends & holidays off, I’m available to offer consistent, caring attention and companionship for your pets! :) Pets in my care have access to walking paths, a dog park, a wash station, and designated potty areas. Crate-trained pups are welcome! I keep communication clear because guessing games are for pets, not pet parents
About: In addition to taking care of my own three dogs, I have spent the past four summers working at a doggy daycare/ kennel. I have professional training and experience in taking care of animals of a variety of sizes and various needs. With over 50 dogs in our care every day, I am experienced in creating an environment that is safe, clean, and fun. I feel prepared to handle anything that is thrown my way !! I am a graduate student here in Chicago, so I have classes four days a week, but I can do walks and drop in visits for most of the afternoon, and dogsitting and walks Saturday-Monday. I am unable to take pets into my own home, but in a clients home I am prepared to work with whatever is available, including spending as much time outside as necessary and bringing treats and a slip lead to help with walking, training, and crating. For pets who prefer to spend their time indoors, I will make sure they still get plenty of attention and mental stimulation.
“It is clear Paloma knows how cats are and how to approach them. Koji is a very shy cat and Paloma most definitely got her to come out of her comfort zone without stressing her out.”

About: I love both dogs and cats. I have been fostering cats for the last four years, from kittens to senior cats, with a range of personalities. I have also provided free catsitting services to the foster organization I work with. I grew up with dogs and am very comfortable with all kinds of dogs--but I especially love big dogs! I am a responsible law student with a flexible schedule as I study for the bar exam. I am currently finishing up law school, with only one class per day, so I have a flexible schedule that can work around your preferences. I do not plan to have pets in my home because I currently have a foster cat of my own! But I am very respectful of others' spaces and will leave it just as I found it. I can let your dog out in a yard or take him or her out on a walk.
“Qutress was great with our shy cat, who even let Qutress pet her which is quite rare for newcomers! She was very communicative and gave us wonderful updates every day. Highly recommend!”

“It is never easy to leave a pet for a week, but it is much easier when you know your pet is cared for and save. Furthermore, we came home to a happy kitty and a clean apartment! Maya was communicative and professional. Thank you!!”

“Coretta did an amazing job taking care of our cats while we were away. She went above and beyond - taking care of unforeseen issues that popped up and sending thoroughly documented (and cute) reports after each visit. I would recommend her to anyone as a trustworthy, compassionate, and knowledgeable caretaker for your animals.”

About: With three years of focused experience as a cat owner and sitter, I’ve learned that every cat is a unique individual with their own language and routine. My approach isn’t one-size-fits-all; I prioritize safety, comfort, and personalized attention to ensure your furry friend feels secure and loved while you’re away. My work schedule is actually a huge advantage for pet care! Because I work a stable 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift, I am home and available during the key times pets need attention: early mornings, late afternoons, evenings, and all weekend long. In your home, my focus is on providing worry-free care by treating your space and your pet with the utmost respect and attention. Because I work a stable 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift, I am available for the key times pets need attention—whether that’s an afternoon drop-in, a long walk, or an evening stay—ensuring your pet is never alone for too long. I prioritize safety by rigorously following your instructions, ensuring doors are always locked behind me, and keeping a close eye on your pet to prevent them from slipping out. I also believe in leaving your home better than I found it; I’ll clean up litter tracks, wash food bowls, and handle small tasks like mail retrieval to keep your home running smoothly. With daily photo updates and a proactive eye for any potential issues, you can relax knowing your home and pet are in secure, caring hands.
“Cassie is amazing at what she does and she is very professional and warm. She took great care of our cat and our home. She was always punctual and always sent wonderful notes and pictures. We would happily choose her again to take care of our cat.”

Hyde Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Maya took great care of both my indoor and outdoor cats while I was away. She was in regular communication with me about whether or not the cats were visible during her drop-ins, as well as how open they were to getting some rubs and TLC. She even brought my dumpsters back into my yard on trash day and made sure packages delivered to my home made it safely inside. Maya is a sweetheart and I absolutely plan on having her care for my babies for my next extended out of town trip!

Coretta is an outstanding, capable individual! She knows how to care for cats and dogs very well. She is great communicating with people, including building supervisors, managers and maintenance workers. Coretta is flexible in scheduling and diligent in her attention to detail. When asked for special considerations, she will go above and beyond to make sure animals entrusted to her care ware well fed, clean and loved! I will absolutely go out of my way to employ her services again, should the need arise. If you have the opportunity to work with Coretta, or have her visit your home, you'll be all the better for it! She is an absolute PROFESSIONAL!
Cassie is an excellent cat sitter. She took care of my cat while going through some medical stuff, and took the time to make sure her medication was administered correctly and with care, and also to help reassure and update me while I was away. I really appreciate it!

Megan took care of our cat regularly for two weeks, and we couldn’t be happier with her help. Our cat has a very sassy and cautious personality, but Megan managed to win her over, which honestly says a lot. She was able to pet her and even got her to play, which is not easy at all. We are very grateful to Megan for her care, patience, and reliability. It gave us great peace of mind knowing our cat was in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter.

Claire is absolutely wonderful. She accepted my request at the last minute and truly cared about my cats’ well-being. She kept me updated throughout the day and made me feel completely at ease. She’s definitely a keeper, and I would highly recommend her to anyone

Kayleigh is a wonderful catsitter. I felt informed about how my cat was doing for the entire two weeks that she watched him. She followed my instructions perfectly and was very attentive to him. I’d definitely rebook with Kayleigh if I need catsitting in the future!

Tamara took great care of my cat while I was out of town! She was very responsive and transparent, keeping me updated throughout the booking. She was also really flexible & understanding when an issue came up with my keys - l couldn't have asked for a better sitter
