About: Hi there! I'm Maya. I'm a newbie to the pet-sitting scene however I've been around dogs my whole life. I also am a pet mom of 5 years to two dogs, named Millie and Matcha. I've raised and trained them up from 12 weeks old, and loved every minute of it! I've also fostered a few pups in the last two years and helped find them new homes as well! About: I know how important it is to have a sitter you can trust and that will provide all your pet needs while you're away. I've had pets around me my whole life. I've cared for other pets while family or friends have been away and have become really good at reading different animal emotions and recognizing what they may need. Whether it be cats or dogs, I am confident in my abilities to form a relationship with your pet so they are comfortable with me and I will be sure your pet knows they are safe and cared for even when you aren't there. I work at a school so, during the week, I am available to care for your pet(s) from early afternoon (around 3:30pm depending on the commute) until the evening (around 9:30pm) and may be able to squeeze in some early attention before work between around 6am-7am. during typical weekends I can be much more available to check in on your pet(s) multiple times if needed. You can be sure that while I am in your house / on your property my only focus is on your pet and what they need. I will only access supplies or areas that have been "okayed" by you and you can be sure your belongings will never be touched, taken, or tampered with and your pet will be cared for and have all they need while you're away

About: I have taken care of family pets my whole life, no pets are allowed in my household so I have taken every opportunity to interact with and care for animals outside of my home. I make sure to keep up with their needs while also providing them an enjoyable environment! I work from home so I am able to relocate wherever there is WiFi connection, the work isn’t too demanding so I am able to care for pets immediately. I work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and have 24/7 availability! I have an hour lunch break and am also available anytime after work and on weekends! I cannot have animals in my home so being in a clients home is best for me. I adhere to all instruction given by owners and follow the schedules set for the animal. I am open to entertaining and watching after the animal at all hours!

About: I’ve lived around animals since I was a little girl and have owned a diverse range of pets myself. I grew up caring for my Hungarian Vizsla into college as well, even while he got sick and eventually had to be put down. I have experience owning rabbits, gerbils, dogs, cats. I live with two sweet cats now with my boyfriend and his mother, I’m home most of the time taking care of them. I love animals and have always felt more comfortable with them than humans sometimes. I believe every pet should be taken care of with compassion and a watchful eye. I understand animal body language and always respect what the animal needs or wants for their own sake and for my safety. I’d be honored to help any family with their furry babies! Since I am a university student online my schedule is very open and flexible. I expect most pet sitting jobs to require seeing the animals at least 3 times a day, every day needed. I am looking for another part time job but would allow me to leave work in cases where animals need care in the afternoon as well. Our cats are kept inside most of the time but we do have a yard with a fence that allows them to be outside supervised. If the weather allows for it, we let them out to get exercise in and just have some stimulation. We have to feed them separately as one cat likes to try to steal food from the other. They’re both on their diets to lose some weight so feeding times are in order now for them.

About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.

About: I have have been taken care of all types of animal breeds since I was a little one (approximately 5). Neighbors, friends, and family have always relied on me to persist whenever they went out of town or even needed me to walk their dogs for them. I even specialize in caring for exotic animals (like reptiles, frogs, snakes, etc) as well. Taking care and providing the needs for animals has always been a passion for me. Anything your fur baby needs I am the one. I wanted to further this passion so I decided to further my education by enrolling into pre vet school and one day get my PhD to be a veterinarian. I am currently a student online so anytime after 1pm is fine. There’s not a specific day I am not free. I stay at home most of the days except when I take my dogs for a walk around the neighborhood or take farm visits. I have a fenced in 8 foot fence. So no worries of your babies escaping. I also have a dog that can keep your fur baby company. I have food and water bowels ready at all times. You can bring food if they have a specific diet. I don’t like crates but if you feel that it is needed then that can be arranged as well.
