About: Hi! My name is James and I used to have a dog named Banks who I first adopted back in 2015. I took care of him for many years until we had to sadly put down. My girlfriend and I love to take care of dogs as she currently works at an animal hospital and she always tells me about her experiences there. I’ve taken care of animals ever since I was 10 and I am currently involved at 4 Paws for Ability where I volunteer with service dogs. I am a current college student so my schedule is very flexible during the summer and I can accommodate you and your pups needs! I’ve been handling dogs for years and currently walk and sit multiple dogs around my neighborhood. I love all furry friends and would love to be able to take care of yours! I’m currently working part time, but I have a very flexible schedule. I am free all day on weekends and would love to spend my time with your pups! I have a fully fenced yard with plenty of grass and a deck. With new clients, I like to schedule a meet and greet to go over all the details of the booking and any other important details.

About: In the past I've owned cats for 16 years and a dog for 6. I have experience with elderly cats and dogs. I have also pet sit for family and friends I only work at night a couple days a week so I home a majority of the the and can provide your pet with constant care I have a house with a yard but there is no fence so dog would be on a leash outside. I currently have no pets in the house

About: I’ve been taking care of my own dog since I was 12 and I have been held responsible for taking care of the dogs of extended family members since I have been 10. I love dogs, cats, and really all animals in general. I look forward to meeting everyone’s pets and keeping them safe and happy! I am home from college for the summer so my schedule is pretty open! I am a collegiate volleyball player so I have workouts and practices I am expected to complete a few days a week, but these workouts should not interfere too heavily with my Rover schedule. I have a fenced yard and one dog at home. I typically do not cage my dog, but if there is a crate at your home and you prefer to have your dog caged I have no issue with that.

About: I have always been a dog lover from the first time I got my first dog when I was 6. I am great at training dogs new tricks and just enjoy having the company of a furry friend. I have been caring for my own special needs dog for the past 6 years, so I am very familiar with giving daily medication and monitoring. I have a fenced in backyard and a doggy door for those that know how to use it. I cannot wait to meet you and your dog! I do work full-time in education but I will be on summer break beginning June 10th. I will be at home almost full-time while on break. I have a fenced in yard with a doggy door for the pups that are trained to use it. My dog was diagnosed with Epilepsy over 5 years ago and has been on daily medication since. I am very familiar with giving daily medications both liquid and pill forms and monitoring for seizures. I have a large metal crate and a soft crate if the dog requires it, so you would not have to bring your own.

About: I've had dogs in my home for 10+ years. I have been trusted to watch other people's 4 legged friends while on vacation. They are safe with me! I'm currently in the process of getting a job. I'll need to figure out my schedule so I can make time to walk the dogs. We have a fenced off area in our backyard. In the rest of the yard, I make sure dogs stay on their leashes. They are allowed to go wherever they want in my home with supervision.

About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.

About: I come from a "dog family" and when I was on my own, everyone always asked me to dog-sit or walk if they were going to be gone all day or on vacation. From there, friends started to ask. I sought out opportunities with anyone who needed services. I am an animal lover to the very core. I love even the smallest of creature, and have owned cats, birds, and guinea pigs. I have taught my kids the same. When I had more time, we ALL use to volunteer at our local shelter until it shut down. Now, I help out more with any TNR opportunities and have a soft spot for feral cats. There is never a shortage of animals in need. The best part about pet sitting as a "job" is that there is really never a bad day. They are ALWAYS happy to see you! To them, it's always a great day. It's impossible not to love that. I currently only care for my own cat, but help out family when asked. Unavailable during the day on the weekdays, but can come early or after 4pm or overnights. I don't do any boarding right now because I have an elderly cat who is a cat :), which means she tolerates very little change. In someone else's home, I care for their animal how they ask.
