I’m currently working as a substitute teacher and a hostess so on some days I will be available whenever but other times might be more constricted. As long as I know a bit beforehand I can usually make something work! During the weekends I am basically open despite when I am working at the restaurant.

Information Mara D. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know everything I can about your pet beforehand so I can accurately prepare for our time together! Specifically if your animal has any medical conditions, medications, or allergies I would definitely like to know and if I would also be able to have Vet contact info and emergency instructions that would be amazing! Another thing that is very important to know about your animal is their behavior and temperament- how they react to new people, children, or other animals, if they have any triggers, and if they have any history of aggression or fearfulness. I would also like to know about any house rules that should be enforced while I am with them. Since I would like to make your animal feel as comfortable as possible I think it is very important to know about their average daily routine and also their likes & dislikes.
A typical day
Depending on the animal and who they are it will definitely vary based on their needs and what will work best for them specifically. With active dogs I will make sure to take them on long walks and play games like fetch with them in order to deal with all the energy. With more shy dogs I will make sure to do gentle things with like like chiller walks and maybe introduce some new toys if it feels right. With puppies I will do a lot of structured play while also reinforcing training like sit, stay, leash manners, etc. Lately with cats I will usually do whatever they like whether it be playing with feather wands, climbing or cuddle sessions.

Ever since I was little I have loved dogs. Although I have my own dogs that I love so dearly I also love meeting and spending time with new dogs. It is so fun to get to meet new dogs and their personalities!

Mara is simply the best—highly recommended! My husband and I have never trusted anyone outside of family to care for our two senior dogs. One requires medication, and the other is extremely anxious, so finding the right person felt overwhelming. Mara immediately put us at ease. She took the time to meet with me and my dogs before her scheduled visits and was incredibly patient while I learned how to use the app. Not only is she kind and attentive with my pets, but she is also very capable and handled their somewhat complicated care with confidence. She communicated clearly, letting me know when something came up without causing unnecessary worry, and managed every situation thoughtfully—even things I hadn’t anticipated. Mara is responsive, flexible, and truly easy to work with. When I needed to add a service last minute, she responded right away and accommodated my request without hesitation. I can’t say enough good things—she is trustworthy, compassionate, and incredibly reliable. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dogs.
