When housesitting, I will be staying overnight in your home with your pets, and spending the majority of the time booked with your pets in your home. I generally do need to leave for at least a few hours each day, whether that is to walk other clients or go home and offer additional care to my own pets, so I would like to know how comfortable you are with your pet having some alone time and how long that should be for your pet. My maximum time away from any housesit would be six hours, but some dogs have different needs and I can adjust this on a case-by-case basis.

I would like to know if your dog has any allergies or dietary restrictions, any behavioral issues to look out for, and of course any medical conditions your dog may have, especially if your dog needs medication. I have loved every dog I've cared for, from Shih Tzus and Dachshunds to Labs and Boxers, but I do have a special fondness for bully breeds, senior dogs, and rescues!
A typical day
If given any, I will follow the owner's specific instructions, of course, but I also try to go with what your dog wants. I'll run around and play with super active dogs, get on the floor to play with small dogs, and snuggle with sleepy or less active dogs. I am always thinking of your dog's safety and in extreme weather conditions I will limit outdoor play as necessary.

Pet care experience
Dogs have always been one of my favorite parts of life. I got my first puppy when I was 6, my first (supervised) dogsitting job at age 9, started regularly pet sitting in 2011, and joined Rover in 2018. I have experience with all life stages of dogs and cats, multiple pet households, pets with special needs, resource guarding, and dogs of many breeds and all sizes.
