I grew up with cats and Golden Retrievers and now have 4 Boston Terriers and 2 new kittens, who are my whole world! I am also an approved dog-walker / caregiver for Chicago Animal Care and Control, trained in their strict techniques, so I am comfortable caring for, walking, and exhausting small to large dogs.

Happy to care for your pup where they are most comfortable, in your home! Even if you have a fully fenced yard, you can trust that I'll never leave them unsupervised and unleashed, outside. If you do not have a fenced yard, we will have lots of fun getting our steps in, around the neighborhood! Comfortable getting your pup in and out of crates/kennels if needed, and getting them harnessed up for walks. Will *always* pick up any and all poop your pup leaves, whether in your yard or on our walks.

Kathy grew up with dogs and cats, playing with, walking and caring for them always. She now shares her life with four dogs and two cats of her own. She cares for them deeply, providing home-prepared food and enrichment games, toys, and outings, including swimming! Several of her dogs experience seizures and other medical challenges, which she has researched and learned to manage effectively, including behavioral monitoring and daily medication. She has rescued over 20 lost or stray dogs and volunteers at Chicago Animal Care and Control. There’s no one I’d rather have care for my own dog than Kathy! (And my dog agrees!)
Kathy is absolutely the best person to take care of anyone’s pet! She has always been so loving towards Adela (my chihuahua). She has several dogs and two cats of her own who she cares for very much. From never missing one vet visit to taking them on walks and giving them individualized attention!
Don't let the new Rover profile fool you; Kathryn is an absolute natural with dogs! She has looked after my high energy pups multiple times and always does a phenomenal job. They requires a lot of engagement and Kathryn always keeps them entertained with puzzle toys and walks. She has a great understanding of dog body language and behavior, ensuring my pups are safe, calm and happy!
Kathryn is AMAZING! So professional, kind, and patient. She has taken care of my 2 kitties several times and they adore her. Also when needed, she has administered meds - which is NOT easy with cats!

Schedule
Currently working part time, so have lots of time to dedicate to your pups! I am mostly available for walks during weekdays: Mon - Fri, 9a - 5p

- For the safety of your pups and myself, please let me know if your pup has any special needs or behaviors I can look out for. As an example: If your pup is prone to seizures, let me know how often they occur, how long they are, and if they're triggered by anything in particular. Please also let me know how they usually act during their postictal state, and if there is anything you suggest I do, or avoid while they're recovering. I'm happy to treat any pup with the care and concern, I treat my own! But I need great information to be able to do that.
