But with Aliaksandra and her beautiful family all stress and worry was gone. 100 stars to her not five. Special thanks to her and her Mother. “My dog Pinto can be challenging and this has kept me from getting weekends away where I cannot bring her. Despite Pinto's difficulty with other pets and being tough to walk, Maryori did an amazing job. She stayed in touch all weekend and sent beautiful pictures of her and Pinto out and about so that I felt reassured and able to enjoy my time away!”

“Lee L. was awesome, courteous and professional she took great care of our puppy. She communicated with us prior and during the visit while povideing daily updates along with videos. “We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter! Our dog is very high energy and requires a lot of attention, exercise and patience. Kathleen handled everything beautifully. We came home to a happy, healthy and well-cared-for pup. Communication was excellent throughout our trip with regular updates and photos that showed how much fun our dog was having, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our dog was treated with genuine care and affection not just looked after. We highly recommend Kathleen to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and caring dog sitter. We'll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Lizzy was fantastic - good communication, easy to make arrangements, and most importantly, great with my pups. They came back happy and healthy and obviously had a great time. Thanks!”

“Jayla too great care of my Gizmo. This was my first experience using Rover and I booked Jayla last minute for a overnight stay for my 14 yr old Shih tzu and she immediately accepted the request and took great care of my senior dog while I was away . I was comfortable and felt at ease while I was away. Jayla also sent me a photo update and quickly responded when I messaged her to ask how my dog was doing . I hope to book Jayla for future stays.”

“Yuhan was incredible with our 2.5-yr-old pup Jack. We were in a bind with finding someone to watch him on such short notice, and she was more than willing to help us out. She sent us a bunch of pictures throughout the weekend, so we felt very secure. We did not have any concerns with leaving Jack with Yuhan, her husband, her todler, and her pup Oreo. Jack and Oreo seemed to have become great friends very quickly. Thanks Yuhan! We hope to use you to watch Jack again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Huntingdon Valley
Katherine was an absolute life saver and caregiver to our dog, Mandy, while we were on vacation. She had recently had some swelling due to a bug bite. It was horrible timing to go on vacation, but Katherine had everything under control and made sure to let me know everyday how she was doing. She had to give her medicine multiple times per day and had no problems. I appreciated all of the daily pictures, videos and even the way they included Mandy in their 4th of July celebration. I highly recommend her. And I’m grateful to have found a dependable dog sitter for our next out of town event. Thank you again!

Mary took amazing care of my dog, Zeke, while I was away. She went above and beyond when she noticed he had developed a head tilt and immediately took him to the emergency vet. When he still wasn’t improving after a few days, she followed up with his regular veterinarian to make sure he received the care he needed. Mary kept me informed every step of the way with detailed updates, photos, and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind during a stressful situation. It was clear that she genuinely cared for Zeke and treated him as if he were her own dog. I am incredibly grateful for her attentiveness, compassion, and dedication. I 100% recommend Mary to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and I will absolutely book with her again whenever she’s available!

We left our 9-month Australian Shepherd puppy with Cindy for 8 days. Simply put, she is the finest dog boarder/sitter we have ever had for our dogs, and we have used such a service for many years. Here's why: 1) Cindy, the person- a true professional who is extremely reliable and knowledgeable about dog care, e.g., needs and activities of daily living, canine health, exercise, and even training routines. She approached our dog with huge doses of affection, understanding, playfulness and joy. Two extended walks per day and play/exercise in the backyard were the rule. She is a superb communicator as evidenced by her daily photos and reports about our dog's well-being. This was the first time we traveled out of town without our very energetic puppy. Cindy's confidence, communication skills, flexibility and obvious delight in caring for our dog quickly prevented any anxiety we anticipated might occur after our departure. 2) Physical space- Cindy lives in a quiet family-oriented neighborhood just north of Philadelphia. The free-standing lovely home is fronted by a sidewalk and backed up by a very large fenced-in yard affording lots of space for supervised play. Our dog enjoyed access to the entire home. Bottom line - We were thoroughly pleased by both our and our dog's experience with Cindy. She is a gem and we look forward to working with her again in the future.
Ivana was an amazing dog sitter for us. She loved on them from the moment she met them till the moment we left with them. You can’t tell she really loves watching them. She sent plenty of photos and videos of them through the entire trip and we really appreciated it. Will definitely be using her again.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Iryna and her family. From start to finish, they took amazing care of my kitten, Whiskey, while my husband and I were away celebrating our anniversary. Ira sent regular updates and photos throughout our trip, which brought me so much peace and allowed me to truly relax knowing Whiskey was safe, happy, and well cared for. He got along beautifully with her baby (dog), and they became friends very quickly — it was so comforting to see how natural and relaxed he looked in her home. Whiskey truly looked right at home, surrounded by love and attention. When we arrived to pick him up, Ira had everything packed and ready for us — all of his belongings were neatly organized, which really showed how thoughtful and attentive she is. I’m beyond grateful for the care, communication, and love Ira showed Whiskey. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and loving sitter.

Corey is amazing. Im glad Lucky feels comfortable and at home with her. Gives us peace of mind when we are away. We have no worries leaving him with Corey. She keeps us updated with cute pictures of him. We will definitely be coming back the next time we need to leave Lucky with someone.we trust.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
