Whatever unease Poppy may have felt initially quickly dissipated with her loving care of him!! She was also very sensitive to his possible reaction to fireworks over July 4 anticipating he may not react well. She made sure she provided a quiet and safe space for him. It's important that we leave our dog with someone who is pet experienced, and has the right amount of time & a safe setup. But in this case, not only is the house nice/roomy with a large backyard, but also it authentically feels like Jennifer and her daughter & husband are enjoying the experience as well. I feel like dogs respond to genuine affection, and that makes all the difference for us. Jennifer took pictures of her husband comforting Moose, and gave us stories about her daughter sleeping with him in her arms. This makes us want to give him this delightful experience everytime we are forced to travel without him, if possible.
