“Kelly is awesome. While we were away, a family emergency caused us to have to extend our stay, and Kelly didn't flinch in watching Hazel for several extra days. Very cool!”

“Another great stay! We were delayed in picking up our dog but she was very understanding! Her commentary and pictures about our dog's stay make us very comfortable that he's well taken care of. She's always our go to caretaker!”

“Lauren provided EXCELLENT boarding services for Rocky. From the meet and greet, drop off and pick up. She sent photos and communicated several times a day. I was totally relieved with Lauren. I almost felt guilty that I wasn’t worried.😂 I would use Lauren again with no hesitation!”

“Jennifer is truly the best! Communicative and great with my dog. Also has a fun back yard and great pets- my dog always comes home nice and tired!”

“Heather had her hands full with my 7 month old lab/husky puppy. She accepted the challenge and took great care of Meadow. I appreciated the updates and pictures. Would highly recommend Heather as a pet sitter.”

About: We treat pets like part of the family, not just a quick drop-in. One thing that really sets us apart is the environment we can offer — we have a fully fenced 1-acre backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and get plenty of exercise and attention. My boyfriend and I are both huge animal lovers, and while we both work, I have flexibility with telework and half days, which allows for more supervision and time with your pet throughout the day. We’re also home on weekends, so pets will not be left alone for long periods. We currently do not have any pets of our own, which can be especially helpful for dogs who prefer a calmer environment or are not comfortable around other animals. We’re patient, dependable, and attentive to each pet’s personality and routine. Pet care fits easily into our routine because we genuinely love having animals around. I have flexibility with telework and half days, which allows for regular potty breaks, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. We’re also home most weekends and have a fully fenced 1-acre yard where dogs can safely run and play. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. In our home, pets are treated like family and kept in a calm, clean, and supervised environment. We have a fully fenced 1-acre yard for safe outdoor time and always make sure pets are monitored during play and potty breaks. We follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, routines, and any special needs, so pets feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you’re away. We also provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind.
“Our VERY energetic puppy had a great time. We received updates once a day and Hillary even provided a few item we had forgotten for our dog. As we were new to boarding our dog she went through the entire process which helped a lot. We couldn’t be happier and would definitely recommend Hillary.”

“Mary was WONDERFUL. I left my dog with her for 12 days, the longest I have ever been away from my dog. I had nothing to be nervous about as Mary kept me in the loop the whole time I was away. She was great at providing physical activity with my dog which is a huge part of her well being! They have a lot of yard space outside which is great for running around and made me feel comfortable! She was professional and timely with answering any of my questions about my dog. Was receptive to any special requests I had made for my dog as well which was great! I would 100% book with her again if I am going away! Also she sends photo updates which I LOVED!”

“Jacqueline and Jim treated my pup and loved her like their own! As it was my 60-lb Golden Retriever’s first time at a house with a cat, I set up a meet and greet and I could tell my dog felt right at home. Jacqueline was super communicative and warm prior to and during the boarding process. I could tell by the photos that my dog was comfortable and I was afraid she wouldn’t want to come back with me! I cannot recommend Jacqueline enough and will definitely board my dog at her place again.”

“Samantha was great! Very knowledgeable about dogs. She sent me a picture of her daughter reading Milo a book. Adorable! She kept me updated about Milo and informed me of a health condition with Milo. Very much appreciated!”

“Rob sent pictures everyday and took great care of my pup, Bamba. I can’t recommend him enough if you want a chill and comforting presence around your dog. He’s someone that makes even an anxious owner like myself feel at ease with boarding her. Thanks Uncle Rob!”

“Liubov was wonderful! She took care of my dog well, and that was the first time for my dog for boarding. She sent us pictures and kept us updated the whole time. Thank you!!”

“Yuiko is wonderful! She's got a big yard, which Eddie loved! And she's got other dogs that Eddie loved playing with. We were bummed to have a vacation without Eddie but Eddie also had his fun vacation at Yuiko's! We are super thankful!”

“Katie and Marco did an amazing job with our sweet but quirky old dog. Frequent photo updates and he was a happy, happy pooch when we picked him up. Thank you Katie!!!”
“Kate is amazing! She sent us pictures and updates daily. Our pup looked like she was having so much fun I was actually worried she wouldn’t want to come home 😀. The stay with her was the best experience we have ever had with any dog sitter. We highly recommend her!”

“Fandi is so professional and absolutely showed so much love taking care of our pet dog Hank. Her Communication and updates were amazing. I would highly recommend her to all our friends if you are looking for someone to take care of your pet. Hire Fandi. Your the Best. Thank you 😊. Tony B. Blue Bell, PA.”

“Lizzy was fantastic - good communication, easy to make arrangements, and most importantly, great with my pups. They came back happy and healthy and obviously had a great time. Thanks!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Southampton
We left our 9-month Australian Shepherd puppy with Cindy for 8 days. Simply put, she is the finest dog boarder/sitter we have ever had for our dogs, and we have used such a service for many years. Here's why: 1) Cindy, the person- a true professional who is extremely reliable and knowledgeable about dog care, e.g., needs and activities of daily living, canine health, exercise, and even training routines. She approached our dog with huge doses of affection, understanding, playfulness and joy. Two extended walks per day and play/exercise in the backyard were the rule. She is a superb communicator as evidenced by her daily photos and reports about our dog's well-being. This was the first time we traveled out of town without our very energetic puppy. Cindy's confidence, communication skills, flexibility and obvious delight in caring for our dog quickly prevented any anxiety we anticipated might occur after our departure. 2) Physical space- Cindy lives in a quiet family-oriented neighborhood just north of Philadelphia. The free-standing lovely home is fronted by a sidewalk and backed up by a very large fenced-in yard affording lots of space for supervised play. Our dog enjoyed access to the entire home. Bottom line - We were thoroughly pleased by both our and our dog's experience with Cindy. She is a gem and we look forward to working with her again in the future.
We were very satisfied with the care Joseph provided for our girl Matilda. She was treated as one of the family. She enjoyed the fact that she could roam around their home and beautiful outdoor spaces. We felt very comfortable with them as did Matilda. Awesome experience and outstanding care.

Excellent sitter. Our dog is a senior (15 years old Shiba Inu), who doesn’t really have much hearing or sight left plus doggie dementia. Most times she just wants to naps or be left alone, and a really great appetite. It’s extremely hard to find a sitter that knows how to identify what works for her regardless of how much notes we write. Jia is experienced, intuitive, and great communicator. She was able to gauge what our dog style was pretty early on. Can’t recommend her and her family enough.

My Jack Russell was very, very well cared for and loved at Evgenia’s home. He takes medication and can be a bit challenging in new environments and his needs were met with ease. Their home is welcoming to dogs and they were very responsive and flexible when my flight was delayed. Sushi stayed for 5 days and I didn’t worry at all. Couldn’t be happier with Evgenia and family!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
