“Caroline dropped in to play with our hound and Cienna was super excited to see her after doing a meet and greet the week before. She engaged her in play and tried to keep her moving which is difficult because since Cienna really enjoys sunbathing! She was on time, responded quickly to requests and was very delightful. We will definitely have her come back!!”

“Indigo was great with the cats! They warmed up to Indigo quickly and seemed comfortable. Indigo was communicated well, asked great questions, and took excellent care of our pets.”

“Theo and Julian are great to work with. They were very responsive. I appreciated the flexibility for meet and greet and first drop in. The pictures and notes were excellent! I'll definitely rebook with Theo.”

“Cassidy got fantastic photos of the pets, her notes were thorough and helped put us at ease while we travelled. She was very kind, flexible, communicative and caring with the animals. Would rebook in an instant!”

“We booked Adriana to walk and play with Bailey, our Golden Retriever. We booked for two visits a day while our daughter was at work. Couldn’t have worked out any better. Bailey got his walk and playtime in twice a day and still got to stay in his home. Very happy with how it went. Adriana took good care of Bailey. We were notified twice each day and felt like he was being well taken care of. We would recommend Adriana very highly if you need someone to care for your dog!”

“John was fantastic with our dog. Made sure he got plenty of time outside, a nice walk, and played with him too. Kept our boy happy while we were away for the day!”

“We had such a great experience with Klarysa! From the moment we met, it was clear she truly loves animals and knows how to care for them. She was reliable, communicative, and treated our dog like family. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Our pup was happy, well-exercised, and clearly loved the attention. We’re so glad we found Klarysa and we’ll definitely be booking again. Highly recommend!”

About: As a mother of two huskies, I will take the upmost care to ensure your pet is well cared for! I will ensure there is special care, responsibility, and fun in every engagement with your fur baby! My schedule is very flexible, and I’m very excited to see how I can fit into your fur baby’s schedule. Whether there is rain, shine, or snow I’ll find a way to make sure your baby’s needs are met! Your fur baby will have a one-on-one walk in order to ensure quality time and maximum safety. Should your baby need extra enrichment or physical activity to get energy out, we can set that up. Or, if your baby simply needs an extra cuddle/quality time while he/she is a couch potato, we can also set that up. I can’t wait to help ensure your baby’s unique needs and desires are met!
“Another great experience with Jon. Excellent communicator, arrived in timely fashion to care for my babies, took the time to bring in my packages and make sure everything tidy. Very appreciative of him and his services -”

About: I'm happy to work with dogs of all walks and understand some dogs may need more time than others to get to know me. I'm experienced with training tools (crates/prong/ecollar) through working with a professional trainer with my own dog (a 3yo 80lb GSD mix), though respect owners' choices who prefer not to use them. My preferred relationship building style is through play and trust, putting dogs' safety and needs first. I currently work a full time 9-5 on weekdays. I'm available on weekends for drop ins and walks. 1-2 mile trail walks offered in the morning hours of summer and from dusk-dawn in other seasons. I often put the dogs safety and needs first and respect any boundaries you/your dog have. Aside from drop ins and a walk around the neighborhood, im very open (and love the great outdoors) to taking your pup on a short 1-2mi hike at nearby public dog friendly trails. My dog would love a hiking buddy if his vibes are right with yours!
About: Hi! I’m Alanna, a lifelong dog lover with both personal and professional experience caring for pets. I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a kid and I’ve worked as a shift lead at a pet store for over 2 years, where I also handle dogs in the grooming department. This means I’m very comfortable working with different breeds, sizes, and temperaments including anxious or high-energy dogs. I have experience with handling, basic grooming support, and reading dog behavior, so your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away! Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I work part-time and take most of my college classes online, which allows me to have a very flexible schedule. I’m able to be available throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure pets get plenty of attention and care. I always adjust my care based on each pet’s individual needs and routine. In a client’s home, I stick closely to their normal schedule to minimize stress, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications or special instructions. I make sure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment and provide regular updates. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and structured environment with constant supervision, regular potty breaks, exercise, and plenty of attention. My experience working in a pet store and handling dogs in grooming has made me confident with a wide range of temperaments, so safety and comfort are always my top priorities.

About: I have taken care of dogs for my friends & family my entire life, and I am looking to continue to care for any and all animals! I am very reliable and responsible. Whether you need assistance for pet care during a short vacation or you are looking for a consistent sitter/dog walker, I can help! Currently working part-time with a very flexible schedule. I am happy to work with you to meet your pet care needs! I am located in the Nashua area and available for mid day walks/check ins as needed. I prefer to care for pets in their home as I know some pets get anxious without their people, and I want to ensure they are as comfortable as possible! I am open to caring for your pet in my own home, however if you have a more anxious pup, I’d love for them to see the space before sitting for an overnight just to be safe.
“We had a great experience! Jessica was very communicative and kept us updated throughout the visit, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. She did an excellent job managing all three of our dogs—including our senior dog, who is very grumpy and selective about people. She took them all for a walk, made sure they had fresh water, and as requested, gave them a snack before she left. It was clear she was patient, attentive, and comfortable handling different personalities. We would absolutely book with her again!”

“Heather was an amazing sitter for our 11 yr old PORTY! Oreo loved meeting her and they hit it off immediately. I reached out to Heather for a drop in a few days prior and she was accommodating and was great about sharing messages and photos on her visit-Oreo loved her walk and we will certainly use her again!”

About: Hey!! I’m Kirsten, and I would love the opportunity to care for your pets like they’re part of my own family. 🐾 I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my brother and I cared for our own pets and even helped stray animals in our neighborhood. That love for animals has stayed with me throughout my life. I also have hands-on experience working with an animal rescue, where I helped care for 14 dogs and 12 cats. My responsibilities included feeding, cleaning, providing basic daily care, keeping the animals comfortable, and—of course—giving them plenty of attention and love. I’ve also provided dog sitting and pet care for others over the years. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets while you’re away. I’m dependable, patient, attentive, and comfortable following your pet’s individual routine and care instructions. I’m currently interested in dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, meals, companionship, or simply someone there to make them feel safe and loved, I’m happy to help. As a mom, I know how much trust it takes to leave someone you love in another person’s care. I want you to feel comfortable knowing your pet will be treated with kindness, patience, and lots of love while they’re with me. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family! 🐶🐱❤️ I work full time and would be working around my schedule to accommodate the needs of everyone. Each dog will be loved and cared for as anyone else. ❤️❤️❤️ I do not have a fenced in area on my drive. My three other sides are fenced in. Looking to figure out how to fence the driveway. ❤️❤️❤️
“Riley took to Jeanine right away which was impressive for him. I was able to relax and enjoy my trip knowing he was in good hands! This was a great experience and I will use Jeanine again!”

“Brooke willingly accepted an emergency weekend drop in / house sitting visit for my 5 month old high energy puppy. Brooke communicates flawlessly and attentively in the planning and throughout her visits. Brooke was also flexible when some day of plans changed, with her only priority making sure the puppy was cared for. The puppy was tuckered out after all her walks and activities. Due to the circumstances, when my senior dog was not picked up in time, Brooke also assumed that dogs care. I cannot wait to use Brooke again for future services!”

Caroline was everything and more! She was flexible and accommodating for my needs and I came home to a very happy and content kitty cat. She was incredibly responsive and my apartment was spotless, especially the litter box area. Super appreciative of how smooth the whole process was during my trip.

Stacie is amazing! She's very thorough and always sends us updates and pictures. She does things for us that we haven't even asked, like, bringing in our mail and trash barrel...and watered our plans for us! We have used her multiple times and will continue to do so, I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and responsible pet sitter!
Thank you Julian for looking after our sweet Murray!! Julian was excellent with our shy 5yr old tuxedo. He was fed twice a day and Julian was able to give him his eye drops. Julian was very communicative and sent in lots of pictures with each check-in. We knew Murray was in good hands- thank you so much Julian- we will definitiely use your services again!

Our meet n greet went so incredibly well that we knew we wouldn't have to worry about our pup while away. Chuck was responsive to her, her barking, and her old age needs. He went above and beyond by cleaning up her indoor messes and changing out her pee pad area. He was not dissuaded by her needs to talk... A lot! She takes a lot of meds so we got pictures and great descriptions of the visits. Will absolutely reach out to Chuck again if we need to.

Hannah was so amazing with our kitties, and went above and beyond! She kept everything nice and tidy while we were away, and even saved our puzzle that partially fell off the side table, thanks to our orange kitten! We also loved the daily report she left and the photos sent too. A++!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
