“Jaimie was absolutely fantastic with Madeline! She took care of everything from feedings and litter maintenance to cleaning up unexpected hairball messes. She gave Madeline so much love and sent the best photo updates throughout the stay. I’m so grateful for her attentive care and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sweet, reliable pet sitter!”

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. From growing up with dogs, to working with them, they've always been there. I'm a formally trained groomer who has worked in various places around New England. My specially was working with puppies and dogs with anxiety. Both of those need extra patience and time to keep them safe, comfortable, and to make it the best experience possible. I've also worked for a doggy daycare, have done at home walks, and have a number of years experience with housesitting dogs of all ages. I'm a stay at home mom with two young kids, one in school, one will be going in the fall. We spend plenty of time in our yard, getting fresh air and sun. I have a large yard, unfenced, and a good sized home with plenty of space. There are stairs in the front to get upstairs, but no stairs by the backdoor, making it easy for dogs with mobility issues to come inside.
“Yary was a great sitter for our two cats!! She treated them like her own, giving us great peace of mind on our trip away! Loved all the photos and updates she gave! Goose and Pita are excited to see her again in the future. Recommend to anyone looking for a sitter!!”

About: I’ve owned a dog since I was about 5 years old. I’ve always had the responsibility to walk and feed them. I take care of my friends dogs when they go on vacation by feeding them and walking them multiple times daily. The love I have for dogs is indescribable and I will show that kind of love to any dog I meet. I love every single kind of dog, there is no such thing as a bad dog just a bad owner. My current dog is a rescue who took a while to warm up to my family but now he is comfortable and happy in his own home. I love being around dogs and going the extra mile to make sure they feel loved and taken care of. I am currently a student at the University of New Hampshire and I work part time a couple of days at week at Tuscan Market. I am available most of the time on the weekends, depending my hours at my job and my availability during the week is most of the time this schedule: Mondays after 6pm, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s before 11am and after 12:30 pm, Wednesday before 4pm and after 6pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday varies. Currently I live at school with no pets and 4 other roommates who are animal lovers and would be more than happy to have a dog there if need be. I am able to walk, bathe, feed, love/cuddle and anything like that within my schedule. I really love dogs so much that this wouldn’t feel like a job to me at all, it would be fun and enjoyable to be surrounded by pups.
“Samantha was so great with our hyperactive nutball German shepherd Remington! We get nervous leaving her with people but she responded so amazingly to Samantha! Very clear that she loves animals and it showed with how happy our pup was!”

“Brianna was great with our cat Connor. This was our first time using Rover and she made it so easy. Receiving the pictures of Connor during each check in was the best part. Thank you again and we will be in touch for future help!”

“Tegan has walked my dog for the last couple months while I'm at work and she has been so wonderful! She is on time and communicated well. I have a high energy husky and Tegan has done such a great job with her. I couldn't recommend her more!”

“Thank you a ton. The request was relatively last minute and adjusted a few times but Ashley accommodated easily. The animals were well cared for and happy and I was able to attend my son’s wedding.”

“Allison was very friendly and communication was great, making for a very seamless experience. We have 3 cats, one of which is diabetic and requires insulin injections. We were very comfortable with leaving our cats in Allison’s care and will definitely book again!”

“Kelly is an outstanding Cat person, when she walked in our black cat (Khaleesi) who is afraid of any and all human beings stayed around to sniff her and greet her. Kelly was the only cat sitter who got to see khaleesi during upcoming cat visits. Our other black and white mains come also melted when she gave him affection. If you want a cat sitter who knows cats, Kelly is your person.”

About: I’ve always had animals growing up and have always had an interest in taking care of animals. As soon as I was old enough family and friends have had me watch their animals. Dogs, cats, rats, bunnies, reptiles, you name it! I could not imagine having a life without animals. Currently I have two Siberian huskies, two cats, and one bunny. I’ve also had a lot of experience giving dogs and cats medication, and know all the tricks to get them to take it in a quick and easy manner. I’d like to say I’m very responsible, and will absolutely treat your animals like my own. My mornings and afternoons are typically very available, because I own an aerial studio and those classes are mainly held at night. I am a very active person so I am always looking to add more walks into my daily routine. At my home I have a fenced in yard, and two friendly, playful dogs. I do have two cats as well, but they can easily be separated. I also have two crates at my house that both of my dogs comfortable can go in when needing to be separated. At clients homes I can do anything you need me to for your pet. Treats, walks, playtime, crate time, and even snuggles.
About: Walking your dog will probably be the highlight of my day!I’ve spent my whole life helping raise dogs small to large, as well as helping friends and family out often. Even though in college I was a Health Science major, i took elective animal psych and behavioral classes that i feel really helped my understanding and knowledge about dogs and cats! I make my schedule to fit my pets needs, so in the morning I let my 2 dogs out for potty and little exercise before breakfast. My mom works from home so she will come let them out around noon and at 5 one of them goes on a walk with me while the other stays back in the yard (he doesn't like the outside world)! I will make sure your dogs needs are met depending on breed, size, age, etc. I have worked and owned dogs from 12lbs to 105lbs so I feel well equipped. If your dog is a breed I am not familiar with I will look into the breed beforehand to better understand the dog. Im used to reactive dogs, and am careful to read their body language at all times.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and am very comfortable caring for them day-to-day. I understand dogs’ routines, body language, and needs, and I treat every dog with patience, attention, and care I currently work part time at a retail store so I’m not usually busy depending on the day but my day to day may vary I care for pets by following their routine closely, making sure they’re fed, exercised, and comfortable. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet with the same care and respect I give my own dogs.

This was my first time with Rover. Very pleased with the service provided by Liz. She cared for two shy cats for one week. I really appreciated the great communication. Cats finally came out the last day😀. House was clean and Liz followed my instructions perfectly. I’m happy and so are kitties. Thank you Liz would definitely hire Liz again.
Eleanor is amazing and my go-to sitter for my two cats. She went above and beyond while I was away for a week. This is my 3rd time with Eleanor and she has always been reliable. I feel completely at ease knowing she is taking care of my fur babies. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
