“Manessa went above & beyond as always. She took great care of our little senior dog and gave us full updates every visit. We feel very confident when she is doing drop in visits that our dog is well cared for.”

“We feel very comfortable having Olivia care for our cats while we’re away. She’s very caring and helpful and we love the photos and report cards we receive from her.”

“Anthony has been absolutely wonderful with our young puppy (from 10 to 14 weeks)! He has taught him to walk with manners and helped us with tricks! Our puppy absolutely adores him — we will continue to rebook! Thank you so much, Anthony!”

“I hired Tiffany to take care of my cat’s needs for a day during a short road trip. She communicated well and did everything needed! Meeting and talking with her made it clear she’s a true animal person. Highly recommended for the care of any sort of pet!”

“Demi was top-notch. She was prompt, sent messages to maintain communication, and followed directions in caring for our two, large dogs. We were really pleased and will definitely hire her again.”

“Vivian was an amazing support for my cat while I was away for 5 days. She spent quality time with her, completed all tasks, and checked in with me daily. I look forward to working with her again!”

“Dalyce is professional and dependable and a very good communicator. Most importantly, she has a great disposition for both my anxious shephard and super mellow senior. Felt very comfortable knowing they were in her care.”

“Jessica was caring and attentive to our kitties! She was able to modify some instructions when my kitten wasn’t eating as well and was very communicative with updates. Thanks, Jessica!”

About: I have been training my own dogs since puppyhood, I have dog sat for multiple family friends (two dogs at a time), I can be very gentle with senior dogs but playful with puppies. Most importantly I am flexible in learning your commands and preferences! I am an OT student home from college and I work part time, about 3 days a week. I also frequent the gym during the week but for no longer than 2 hour periods. I am comfortable with electric fences/collars or walking around a yard with the dog on leash. Very good at following instructions on how to get pups back into crates/rooms
“Stephanie came to my rescue when my plans were extended and my regular sitter was unavailable. She took great care of my rescue cat and even managed to give her her inhaler! I recommend Stephanie and will be looking to rebook with her in the future.”

“Sam is awesome! Can’t say enough great things about how amazing she is with our cat! She’s easy to communicate with, very responsive, plays so nicely with our boy cat, and we can always depend on her! We appreciate her so much!”

“Sherisse was everything we hoped for in a cat sitter, and more. She was prompt, caring and reliable, undaunted by the snowy conditions. She accommodated a last-minute change, and made sure our instructions were understood and carried out. She also went the extra mile -- extra several miles, actually -- by feeding our hungry pellet stove to keep our house, and cat, warm and safe. Highly recommended.”

“Krizia was great! She was friendly, communicative, and flexible. She followed the care instructions that I provided. Moose and Duke loved her and she provided cute pictures with her update. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter on Rover.”

About: I’ve always loved being around animals and have experience taking care of both dogs and cats. I’m very patient, responsible, and pay close attention to pets’ needs and routines. I know how important it is for owners to feel comfortable leaving their pets with someone they trust, and I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I currently have a part-time job and I am a college student so my availability is based around that. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I have plenty of time to care for pets throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting during weekdays. I’m reliable, responsive, and willing to work with different schedules when possible. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and supervised. I’ll follow any instructions you leave for feeding, medications, walks, or routines. I understand every pet is different, so I try to make them feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while in my care.

Absolute joy to work with Mallori, the dedication and commitment is second to none! Communication 10/10, honesty 10/10, punctual 10/10! If you’re looking for anyone to take care of your pets please look no further Mallori has you covered and will make sure they are properly taken care of! She does it for my two dogs Taco and Flynn I know she’ll do the same for you!

Charlene was a lifesaver, tapping in on short notice and yet making time to meet and greet our cat Monty. She is personable and clearly loves animals, but does not seem easily rattled by whatever may arise. She bonded with Monty quickly and shared copious photos (appreciated!) of the two of them enjoying her visits. She even brought over toys, a grooming brush and a litter restock. Charlene was reliable and conscientious, and her care allowed us to enjoy peace of mind on our vacation.

She was awesome being able to help me out with a couple days notice. She was able to follow my instructions of feeding my cats loving on them and ironically, most importantly, keeping my plant/flowers alive while I was on vacation by watering them. Thank you so much!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Bedford stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bedford. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
