“We are so pleased with the service we got from Olivia! We came home to a very happy Lily. The report cards were helpful to see how well adjusted Lily was and that she was relaxed being in our home rather than the kennel.”

“Jodi has not only been amazing but is quite literally a true life saver! While en route to our vacation (literally on the plane) there was an emergency with our scheduled sitter and Jodi stepped up to the challenge with no hesitation. She happily cared for our Rottie during one of the biggest snow events in years. Her communication was amazing and truly cared for our Luna’s well being. She saved our vacation and we are truly grateful! To say we recommend her is an understatement as we will most certainly request her again.”

“When my cat was diagnosed with diabetes I was so stressed about finding someone to administer insulin shots while I was away. Taylor has taken care of my cat on numerous occasions and I never worry. He’s always well taken care of. Taylor is responsible and reliable - she’s the best!”

About: I have been training my own dogs since puppyhood, I have dog sat for multiple family friends (two dogs at a time), I can be very gentle with senior dogs but playful with puppies. Most importantly I am flexible in learning your commands and preferences! I am an OT student home from college and I work part time, about 3 days a week. I also frequent the gym during the week but for no longer than 2 hour periods. I am comfortable with electric fences/collars or walking around a yard with the dog on leash. Very good at following instructions on how to get pups back into crates/rooms

About: As an early teen, I walked dogs and pet sit for my neighbors for a few years. I was always reliable and on time. I let the client set the route they prefer their dog to walk, and I always take into account the dogs varying personalities and needs. I was doing HVAC but unfortunately I was laid off. I figured I’d do what I love and that is taking care of pets! Since I’m laid off I can do anytime and soon I will be able to do weekends as well. I have a big yard and I live in a quiet neighborhood. I live in a circle so it is a great walk with uphill and downhill!

“Ashley was a responsible and reliable sitter for our cat Monty. She was punctual to our schedule and communication was excellent. She clearly cares for the animals in her charge, and goes the extra mile to make sure they are well cared for.”

About: I’ve own dogs since I was 5 years old and my god father got me my very first dog. I’m the known animal lover of the family. The go to dog-sitter of all friends and family. I’ve fostered puppies, seniors, and even adopted a hospice case who was only with me 8 months. I currently have 3 rescue dogs of my own. All day availability! Plenty of time to spend with your fur baby(ies). If I need to do an errand your dog will not be left alone for longer than 2 hours. I have a fenced in yard. 3 dogs of my own all spayed/neutered and up to date on Rabies. I have a rail trail close-by for endless walks.
“Tori was a huge help with watching our two cats for the week. She was punctual and provided great feedback on how the cats were doing. We’ll be using Tori for our future trips. Thank you, Tori!”

“Dalyce is professional and dependable and a very good communicator. Most importantly, she has a great disposition for both my anxious shephard and super mellow senior. Felt very comfortable knowing they were in her care.”

“I hired Tiffany to take care of my cat’s needs for a day during a short road trip. She communicated well and did everything needed! Meeting and talking with her made it clear she’s a true animal person. Highly recommended for the care of any sort of pet!”

About: I have taken care of family dogs for over 10 years and I enjoy walking, playing, and giving endless love to dogs. I am a former Division 1 athlete, so I have a lot of energy to devote to your lovely pup! I am a recent graduate of William & Mary and am starting graduate school this upcoming fall. I have a ton of free time that I would love to fill taking care of some amazing pups! I am reliable and trustworthy, and I will make sure that your dog is secure on walks and is having a good time while having fun and being safe.
“Jessica was caring and attentive to our kitties! She was able to modify some instructions when my kitten wasn’t eating as well and was very communicative with updates. Thanks, Jessica!”

“Katrina took excellent care of my two cats, to include giving one of them medication orally twice a day. Katrina provided excellent communication while I was traveling which provided me peace of mind. I will definitely book Katrina to care for my cat in the future.”

Samantha helped us with three different fur babies last minute over a holiday weekend after our pet sitter flaked mid-trip. She was so sweet with them and timely, professional and attentive to our fur babies which we were so thankful for when we couldn't be there. We would highly recommend her services.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
