About Me: Hello! I’m Manessa, your dedicated professional pet sitter, mom to 3 humans and 2 rescue pups with a lifelong love for animals. Growing up in rural Vermont, I was surrounded by pets and farm animals, fostering my passion for animal care from a young age. I completed many courses as a child through 4H on animal care. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or feathered friends, I believe every pet deserves love and attention while their owners are away. Experience: I have over two years of hands-on experience volunteering at Joppa Hill Educational Farm, where I care for a variety of farm animals from cats and bunnies, to our feathered friends the ducks, chickens, and emu, to our hooved friends including horses, cows, goats, sheep, alpaca, and even a donkey! I started pet sitting when my children needed a helping hand with their assignments. After taking on more and more of their visits, I realized that I really love helping care for other's animals while they are away! My Pet Care Experience Includes: Dog Sitting: Small, medium, and large breeds from young pups to our more senior friends Cat Care: Loving and attentive care for feline friends. Exotic Pets: Experience with poultry, barn yard friend, and small mammals, ensuring every pet feels secure and loved. My Furry Family: I share my home with two wonderful rescue pups, Kip, a shy 60 lb super mutt, and Rocky, a 90 lb rotti who is the ultimate love bug, who are about 8 years old. We enjoy long(ish) walks, hiking adventures, and refreshing water breaks in the river together. They are friendly and love to make new furry friends! Why Choose Me? Manessa was an amazing sitter who took great care for our pups - they got special treatment, walks around our neighborhood and she even took the time to train Bennie to heel walk and pull less! We never thought to train him as he is small and we just adopted him 4 months ago and the fact we are his 4th family. We look forward to having Manessa watch our pups again soon !

Safety First: Your pets’ safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m well-versed in handling various breeds and temperaments. I'm observant with an eye for the smallest of details and quickly pick up on the kind of energy to bring make your pet feel safe and secure. Though my children are teenagers, I frequently remember those toddler years where they are so inquisitive and want to explore everything needing a close eye and lots of patience. Both qualities I bring to caring for your fur babies and keeping them safe! I have a private backyard with room to roam on leash (no fence) and love to be outside with my furry friends. Whether going for a fast paced walk, hike, a gentle stroll, or just throwing a ball around in your fenced in backyard, I'm happy to accommodate the activity needs of your pet.
Pets
A typical day
Pups in my care will play games with access to toys and beef bones (if not food/toy aggressive), sniff around the yard and along our wooded path in the backyard. We love going for longer walks around the quiet neighborhood behind our house or take road trips to explore nature paths.
