“Many thanks to Kathryn for doing a drop-in visit with my Australian Shepard who is recovering from surgery when I needed to be away for the evening. She was very patient with him walking around the yard while he did his business. I will book again.”

“Susan genuinely cares about the pets she watches and gave our kitty, Ginger more love and attention with each visit than we could have wished for. I highly recommend her for pet care, especially for drop-in visits. She’s in a class all her own and will be our go-to provider forever.”

“This is the second time I’ve had Callie do drop-in visits for my two cats and she did a fantastic job both times! She goes above and beyond to make sure your pets stay happy and healthy. I highly recommend hiring her for any of your pet care needs!”

About: I've had a dog for 15 years and have dog sat for many years. I've been walking pets for a year officially, and love every minute of it! I am currently not working at the moment so I am free everyday at anytime before 9pm to walk or watch the cats and dogs. I am able to give pets my full attention when visiting. I do have a fenced yard with no other dogs in the house. And a shy cat.

About: My name is Natasha, and I am very passionate about caring for animals - I even worked for a rescue for many years! Part of why I love caring for animals with Rover is because I get to know and love so many new furry friends. I promise to treat your pets like my own, and give them love and care while you are away! I'm located in Amherst, on the border of Merrimack, and while I cannot offer boarding at this time as I have two young kids and a pup who has only been with us about 6 months and wouldn't do well yet with other pets in the home, I still would love to get the opportunity to spoil other animals in my area with love. I will treat your pets with respect and affection, and I am always happiest when I have a furry friend by my side. Please reach out with any questions, I look forward to meeting you and your four legged family members! I currently work full time remote, so I am home during the day every day and am able to keep good attention to my pup and any pups we watch. We treat every pup we watch as though they are our own. We absolutely love dogs, and will go out of our way to provide the best care possible.
“Jessica is so great .. I'm SO happy to have found her. I was so nervous being new to NH about finding a good pet sitter while I'm at work in Boston. She sends me the most adorable updates daily, which I now look forward to getting every day -definitely puts a smile on my face ... so helpful to know your fur-kids are in great hands while you're away!”

“Meg has checked in on my almost 4 month old Boxer puppy, Tide, a few times now and I have nothing but good things to say. She has been on time and provides thorough details about each visit. I love that I don’t have to worry about leaving Tide alone all day and it’s great not coming home to any accidents. Meg is very sweet and knows what she’s doing, I definitely recommend her services.”

“Robert did a splendid job with our dog Rebel. We left him with instructions for food and medicine, and he carried them out faithfully. Robert was respectful, on-time, and thorough. We have already booked him again later this month!”

About: I’ve been around dogs the last 20 years and I’ve been taking care of dogs for the last 14 years of my life. I love them and I couldn’t imagine my life without them. I’ve learned everything I know from my parents who’ve had dogs for 32 years I am 100% free and available whenever you may need I prefer having two days heads up before I can make the plan, but I can also show up For same-day visits as needed I have 2 3-year-old Samoyed girls that are absolute sweethearts who would love to have another puppy or dog hanging out in our fenced in back yard , I can crate your dog easily if needed.
About: I've taken care of both dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, having grown up with both of them. I have such a high fondness! I have trained 4 puppies in the past few years so I am well equipped to handle the littlest of rascals. I also have senior care experience and reactive dog care experience. I am a senior at the University of Southern Maine, and have classes on primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays. Due to my light load on my last year, I am able to have high availability throughout the week especially mornings and afternoons. I do my best to provide as happy of an experience possible for the pets. I give them lots of pets, love, food, water, and whatever else is required for their care. If they need to be crated or put in a carrier I am able to do that. I am also able to trim nails or give medicine or anything of the sorts!

“Demi was top-notch. She was prompt, sent messages to maintain communication, and followed directions in caring for our two, large dogs. We were really pleased and will definitely hire her again.”

“Alyssa has been taking care of our now 85lbs BIG BOY since Jan 2024 (when Bishop, our pitbull, was only 3 months old) Throughout the year, she has proven to be reliable, punctual, respectful, and understanding. Most importantly, Bishop loves seeing her and going on walks with her! Not only does she takes Bishop out for walks, but she take notice of things that could be of concern and address it for his safety, such as walking him on grass during the hot summer. She goes above and beyond and we couldn’t ask for a better walker! We appreciate all that she do!”

“Katie was wonderful to work with and she took great care of my large golden, Andre, on the thanksgiving holiday. I was happy to see photos and updates while we were away. I would definitely use her again in the future.”

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Milford stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Milford. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
