Large Fenced Yard | 1 Dog at a Time
I work full-time from home in Amherst, meaning your dog will never be left alone or crated for long stretches. I have a large, fully fenced-in yard where guest dogs can run safely alongside my friendly 35 lb Rat Terrier/Beagle mix, Wally! Because I only host ONE client family at a time, your pet gets 100% of my attention, unlimited bathroom breaks, and constant supervision throughout the day. Whether it's lounging next to my desk or playing fetch in the yard, your dog will feel right at home.

Having just moved to the area, I was looking for a reliable dog sitter close by and came across Jacob, who was new to Rover. From the start, the experience was fantastic. He was very responsive and arranged a meet-and-greet so my dog could get familiar with the environment before his stay, which I really appreciated. Jacob was incredibly flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, making things much easier around my work travel schedule. After dropping my dog off, I started receiving photos almost immediately, and it was clear he was already settling in and feeling right at home before I had even left for my trip. I especially appreciated that my dog was allowed to relax on the furniture and sleep wherever he felt comfortable. Jacob's dog, Wally, was also a wonderful host, welcoming my dog, sharing toys, and providing a great playmate throughout the stay. The fenced-in yard was another huge plus. Overall, this was an excellent experience. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Jacob again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable dog sitter.
This was our first time boarding our dog with rover. So naturally we were slightly nervous about the whole thing. Jacob was absolutely outstanding from the very start. Having his dog meet with ours prior to the stay. While we were away he was extremely responsive and constantly updating us with Jax’s stay whether it was pictures or just simply updating us on how his and our dog was getting along, and his eating and how he slept throughout the night. Would absolutely recommend him as a person you can have full faith that your pet is in great hands, and would want jax to stay again in the future. 5 Stars!

I work full-time from home, which means pet care seamlessly integrates into my day. Your dog won't be left alone or crated for hours while you're away. I take regular breaks throughout the day for yard play, potty breaks, and walks. Because I only take one client family at a time, your dog receives constant company alongside my friendly mix, Wally.

Safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home features a fully fenced, secure backyard where dogs can run freely and safely. Inside, furniture privileges are welcome if that's what your pup is used to at home! Whether your dog is crate-trained or prefers lounging on a dog bed, I adapt to their normal routine. Mandatory meet-and-greets ensure everyone gets along before booking.

A typical day
A typical day starts with a morning potty break and play session in the fenced yard before breakfast. While I work, your dog can relax in my office or play with Wally. We take mid-day outdoor breaks for games of fetch, sniff-walks around the neighborhood, or exploring local parks. Evenings are dedicated to dinner, winding down, and plenty of couch side belly rubs!

- To ensure the best stay, please let me know about your dog's feeding schedule, potty habits, and any medication needs. I do require guest dogs to be house-trained and friendly with other dogs (my 35 lb mix, Wally, lives here). Please also disclose any separation anxiety, reactivity on leash, or resource guarding so I can prepare accordingly!
