Before Rover, I worked multiple jobs pet sitting and dog walking. I worked in a kennel part-time for about 6 months as one of my first jobs. Previously, pet care was one of my side gigs. I started full time pet sitting on Rover in July 2023. I am playful, fun, and caring. I’ve worked with many different animals of different temperaments, needs, and backgrounds. I’m a firm believer in co-existing with all life forms. I treat every creature with love.

I follow the guidelines set by the owner. I will follow feeding schedules, crating instructions ect.. I follow the “rules of the road”. I’m also hyper aware. I notice everything going on around me. I do my due diligence to use this to our advantage on walks and visits to ensure safety. I am fun and good natured, while maintaining the role of “temporary captain”. I build relationships with pets and read body language. I read their behavior to understand their current boundaries. I work with them where they are at as far as their trust level with me, which helps build that relationship to the next level. If you want a friend, be a friend.
Ratings and reviews
Alyssa helped me with my cats this past week! We were on away and my neighbors daughter was checking on them, which she has done in the summer. This time one of the cats was in hiding so I asked Alyssa if she could help because she has cared for them before. The cat in hiding heard her voice and came out to play! Alyssa is so good with our dog and cats - she really cares about them and they trust her.
Alyssa is the best! I’ve booked with her for years and trust her with my fur babies. She’s amazing!
She always goes above and beyond! I’m so grateful that she is our pet sitter :)

Schedule
Rover is my current main gig, so I have a fairly flexible schedule that varies based off of current bookings. I offer drop in visits and walks. I don’t offer long walks after sunset. I am available after sunset if it’s “in yard/neighborhood pee break”. I am not accepting 60 minute walks/drop ins for new client recurring visits. If you are looking for a 60 minute visit for a specific date, I may be available depending on my current schedule at that time. I do not offer recurring weekend visits. If you are looking for specific date visits on either a Saturday or Sunday, I may be available according to my updated calendar.
