I could tell that he really enjoyed her visits and I loved seeing all the photos and reading Megan’s notes. Hermie looked healthy and happy when I got back home, which is always a relief. About: I am a lifetime dog lover and would love to care for your dog like they were my own. My last dog, Finn, gained his angel wings in June and was with me for 15 amazing years. I'd like to continue caring for other pups in his honor! I am also an approved foster for a local dog rescue, and have experience with puppies, mama dogs, and older dogs. I am very happy to care for older dogs as they hold a special place in my heart! If your dog boards with me, they will get tons of love, snuggles, exercise and walks, and have a safe place to be while you are away. My goal is to make my home their second favorite place to be :) I currently work from home full time and have a very flexible schedule. I do have two school aged children at home, so we have a very consistent daily and weekly routine. Until recently, we had a dog at home, so pet care fits very naturally into our days. We have a large back yard away from the road. It is not fenced in, but I will take your pet out on a leash for bathroom breaks, walking for exercise and some supervised playing! There will not be any outside time that is unsupervised. I am very familiar with crate trained dogs or with uncrated dogs as long as they are safe outside of the crate (as in they are old enough not to eat dangerous things etc). If you have a puppy that is not house trained yet, I request that they be in a crate for night time. Inside the home, they will have access only to the floor that I am on at the moment, so as to keep them safe and out of trouble! We have plenty of gates and other items to block off different parts of the house. Mostly they will just be hanging out with me! I also have an octagon style play pen for puppies.
