“Jacob was great with Bean! He fed him his food, refilled the water and cleaned the bowls, and made the time to play lots with him. He also took plenty of photos! This was our first time going away and having a cat sitter, so we were a bit nervous, but the detailed notes and pictures definitely eased our nerves! Thanks Jacob <3”

“This was our second time with Shanley, and would absolutely recommend her again. Very thorough, good communication and knows how to approach/work with our nervous kitty. About: My family back home has rescued two amazing cocker spaniels and I am hoping to give your dog the same love! I have experience with young and old dogs of all sizes. I have also pet sit for my neighbors in LA and in Berkeley. Going into my senior year at UC Berkeley, I am hoping to have a lot more dogs around! I am a big outside person and I have no issue with going on long walks or taking your dog to the park. I'm an undergrad student and working part time so let me know what times are best and I can work around your schedule. Tuesdays during the day I am not available. Attention and love is most important. This can be ensured through long walks and listening to what you need of me. and the pets of course. I love having a healthy lifestyle so there would be no problem with walking a ton!

“Cameron was wonderful with our cats Wally and Oreo. He sent fun photos everyday and even our shy cat seemed comfy with him. It’s nice to go out of town and know everyone will be taken care of.”

About: I’ve had experience with a handful of different cats and dogs, from walking to house sitting, I also offer pet photography alongside your service. I am a quick learner, motivated, and would love to take care of your pet. I am in the process of preparing to start animal behavioral college, where I’ll be majoring in animal training. I’m currently on a break from work until the end of August/ early September so I can accommodate to your needs and have lots of time to play with your critters. I have a fenced large open patio and yard, the perfect spot with plenty of space for your fur baby/ies. I can also stay overnight at your house, I’m open, I will always leave your home better than I found it.

About: I’ve done neighborhood dog care in high school for 2 years and in college occasionally take care of my friends cats while they are away. I’m a full time student at Cal but my classes are all during the morning so afternoons and evenings I am normally available to go for walks, feed, or play with pets. I have a fenced back yard and a pet friendly lease for my apartment. While boarding I would put fragile valuables away securely in my loft.

“Cara was so caring, responsive, and also very responsible. I was initially worried about leaving my cat for two weeks but I left him in very good hands with Cara. I especially appreciated all the photos she sent and the little daily updates! My cat loved her. I was able to relax knowing that I had a very sweet and reliable sitter.”

About: I grew up in a house full of animals, and know that each pet is unique in what they need to feel comfortable. I’ve had 4 dogs growing up, I’ve cared for geckos in my childhood home, and recently I lived with and occasionally sat for my roomate’s two cats. I love being around animals, and want to make your pet feel safe and happy while their loved ones are away from home. I have experience with basic command training for young dogs. When my two dogs Pepper and Bullet were puppies, I went with them to the park to do a weekly positive reinforcement training class. This type of training worked wonders for teaching simple training commands to very energetic puppies in the most kind and gentle way. I attend university in the day, but am available for afternoons and overnight sitting! Mon, Wed, Fri, I am available after 6:30 pm and Tues, Thurs after 5pm. I am available during the weekends! When caring for pets in your home, I will ask for specific instructions of steps in your pet’s routine that I will be filling in for. I understand that all pets are different, and have their own unique needs for feeling safe and comfortable.

About: What sets me apart is my deep understanding of pets' unique needs, gained through years of hands-on experience with animals of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. Whether I'm caring for playful puppies, energetic adults, or senior pets with special requirements, I tailor my approach to ensure every animal feels safe, loved, and understood. There is a long line of veterinarians in my family therefore I understand the importance of quality care. My goal is to provide peace of mind for you and a second home for your furry friend, where they’ll receive the same level of care and affection they get from you. Fun fact I hope to become a veterinarian after school! As a college student-athlete, my schedule is flexible. I'm available every day aligning pet care around my class and practice times. Any changes or commitments are communicated in advance for seamless planning and reliable pet care. I am a student-athlete at Berkeley and am looking for a part-time job to spend time and help out with your furry friends. I know your pets mean the world to you, which is why safety is my top priority and I am committed to providing the best care for them so you can rest assured that they are taken care of while you are away.

About: I focus on creating a calm, loving environment where your dog feels safe, whether it’s their first time away from home or they need a little extra attention due to age or anxiety. I plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for, making sure they get walks, playtime, meals, and attention right when they need it. Whether it’s early morning feedings, mid-day visits, or evening cuddles, I treat each pet like my own and make their care a top priority in my daily routine. I’m caring for pets in my client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions to the letter. I make sure pets are comfortable, safe, and happy in their own environment. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playtime, or just keeping them company, I handle it all with care and love.

About: I’ve spent most of my animal care time over my life with all kinds and sizes of dogs. I love every pup’s different personality! I’ve been pet and house sitting since I was a teen with a reputation for care and cleanliness. My weeks are fairly regular. I bartend for work so I will be absent from around 5 pm to 10/11 pm a few days a week. Otherwise I have my day time free with plenty of time for fun outdoor expeditions. Your comfort and trust are of upmost important to me! Pets are family and they need to be properly taken care of. I prefer caring for them in your home so their environment is familiar and I am a support coming to their home to make them safe.

About: I grew up with a dog that I was responsible for from a young age until my late teens. Today, I am the go-to dog care person for family and friends. I love animals but especially dogs so I decided to try expanding my skills here on Rover. I have experience helping dogs who are injured and need medicine, active, semi-active, and mellow dogs too! My current schedule offers flexibility throughout the weekdays and most weekends, which helps me balance and accommodate dog owners' various schedules/needs throughout the entire week. At your home, I am a responsible and conscientous person, who treats someone's home with care. I am adaptable to different home environments. The main thing for me is feeling safe in the home and cleanliness -:) and that the dog is comfortable.

About: Hi! We are two animal lovers who have had pets of all kinds throughout our lives. Chrystal has raised dogs, cats, fish, iguanas, guinea pigs, and other small furry creatures. Daniel was raised on many acres with many furry and farm animals as pets. Our family consists of ourselves, 2 kids, and 2 adorable cats. Our sweet, large goof of a dog recently passed and we miss him dearly. We both work from home with a flexible schedule, so have plenty of opportunity to support your family's needs. We both have years of experience dog and cat sitting. We are comfortable and experienced with all breeds and ages and can provide medication as needed. Daniel is also uniquely skilled with larger dogs who need extra support, confidence, or attention when walking or near others. If your pet is not comfortable with kids and/or cats we can easily accommodate with scheduling and separation. Reach out with any questions and we look forward to meeting your furry family! We work from home with a flexible schedule and so can easily schedule time away during the day. One of us is available evenings as well. In the winter months we are away for the weekend, so only available weekdays (Sun eve - Fri midday) We like to know from you what makes your pet the most comfortable in their space. Any guidance is appreciated! We leave a space cleaner than we found it and are natural organizers. If you are traveling, We are particularly thoughtful about how you'd like to leave the house with lights on\off, etc.

Mikaela H.
“Mikaela has been an absolute blessing for our family and our 2-year-old Goldendoodle, Duke. From the very first meeting, it was clear how naturally she connects with animals—Duke was instantly drawn to her calm, kind energy. She takes the time to understand his personality, quirks, and needs, whether it's his love for long walks, his goofy playtime routines, or his occasional bouts of nervousness. Mikaela is incredibly attentive and responsible, always keeping us updated with photos and notes, which gives us such peace of mind when we're away. She treats Duke like her own, and it shows in how excited he gets every time he sees her. I truly can’t recommend Mikaela enough—she’s not just a pet sitter, she’s part of our extended family now.”

Sofia C.
“Sophia cared for my spunky senior chihuahua for a week last month while I went on vacation. I was immediately impressed with how gentle her approach was upon meeting my dog for the first time. She obviously has the experience to understand dogs especially ones that can be a little nervous at first. She took care of my dog at my home. Sophia sent me daily updates with adorable pictures and let me know what they were up to. I never had to wonder how Zoey was because Sophia was so on top of letting me know and I really appreciated the communication factor. She left my place spotless, it may have been cleaner than when I left it haha. I will definitely be having Sophia sit for me again!”

Ellie W.
“Ellie is so great with my 2 Whippet dogs. She is sweet and kind to my babies. She has walked my doggos many times, they are always so happy to see her. She is gentle, but also knows my male isn’t the friendliest with other pups, so she is always aware to walk on the other side of the street to make all dogs feel comfortable. I highly recommend Ellie for your dog walking needs.”

Annalise N.

Hiller Highlands pet parents share their Rover experiences
I cannot recommend Lexi enough as a cat sitter! From the very beginning, it was clear that Lexi genuinely cares about animals and takes the responsibility seriously. My cat, Astra, is not always the easiest to care for as he can be shy and a little picky about who he warms up to but Lexi immediately won him over. Lexi goes above and beyond to make sure Astra feels comfortable, cared for, and happy while I’m away. Every time I come home, I can tell Astra has been well looked after and is in a great mood. One of the things I appreciate most is how attentive Lexi is to Astra’s needs. Whether it’s making sure Astra eats well, gets enough playtime, or just feels calm and secure, Lexi handles it all with so much thoughtfulness. They always gives me updates, which gives me total peace of mind knowing that Astra is in such capable hands. Lexi is also incredibly flexible and reliable, which has been a lifesaver for me more than once. If I’ve needed to make last-minute changes or had unexpected travel plans, Lexi has always been willing to adjust and help out without hesitation. That level of understanding and dependability is so rare and so appreciated. On top of all that, Lexi is just such a friendly and positive person. It’s clear that this isn’t just a “job” for Lexi, it’s a genuine passion. I feel 100% confident leaving Astra with Lexi, which honestly says a lot, because I’m pretty protective of my cat! In short, Lexi is literally the best cat sitter ever. I trust them completely with Astra, and I’m so grateful to have found someone so caring, responsible, and kind. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, Lexi is the one.

Kiara was awesome! When we arrived home from our trip, I could tell our cats had been well taken care of. Kiara took lots of pictures when she visited to reassure us our kitties were okay. She was easy to communicate with and was even willing to water my plants. Thank you Kiara!

Another fun trip where I had zero worries about my old kitties - about one getting his meds and one getting all his pets. Laura is patient and loving with my little family and effortlessly low-drama to do business with. I feel very grateful to be able to count on her caring for my beloveds. Thanks, Laura!!

Artemis has been an incredibly cat sitter for the last two trips I’ve had. I appreciated their warm energy and thorough attention to detail during the meet and greet. My second trip I was off grid without knowing. What could have been an exit inducing situation was made easier because I was confident my fur babies would be well taken care of by Artemis. I would definitely recommend Artemis to anyone looking for an experienced, thoughtful, and well attuned cat sitter!

Kimberly is truly exceptional! From the moment we connected, her communication has been clear, prompt, and professional. She is incredibly reliable and goes above and beyond to make sure our pup, Baci, is well cared for and happy. Baci absolutely adores her — it’s clear she has a natural way with dogs and brings a calm, confident energy to every walk. As a dog owner, it’s such a relief to know my pup is in such capable and caring hands. I can’t recommend Kimberly highly enough!
