About: Hi! I’m transitioning my career (from working in the entertainment industry) into a focus on pet care after a lifetime of loving and living with dogs. For the past 30 years, dogs have been an essential part of my daily life and currently, I share my home with a sweet senior pug who gets physical therapy weekly. Their comfort, health, and happiness are always my top priority. I have much experience dealing with their different ailments. Over the years, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs and cats, and I’ve found true joy in giving them the attention and affection they deserve. I've also received care from a Rover sitter for my own dog for 2 years. I know how uneasy it can be contacting a stranger. I’m detail-oriented, highly safety-conscious, and most importantly reliable and trustworthy. When your fur baby is with me, you can feel completely at ease. I’m currently welcoming just a few clients for repeated in-home daycare to ensure each dog gets plenty of love and individualized care. My home is senior-dog friendly with yoga mats and ramps/soft pet steps, a fenced-in yard, and a calm, quiet environment. I am able to provide boarding for your pup if you are going out of town. I can be interested to house sit at your home if I can bring my senior pup along. If you’re looking for a caring, dependable sitter who will treat your pet like family, I’d love to connect. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully becoming part of your dog’s extended pack! I am looking to make pet care my main focus after September. Until then all available booking dates will be indicated on my Rover calendar. My home is designed with senior dogs in mind, fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and the inside is mobility friendly with yoga mats, dog ramps, and stairs to help pups get around comfortably and safely. I make it a priority to discourage jumping off furniture to protect their joints. My own senior pug is sweet, social, and would love to make some gentle new friends. I’d be happy to provide a calm, cozy, and caring environment for your pup!

About: Growing up on a farm, I’ve always been a passionate animal lover who believes each and every one deserves a loving home and the best life possible. I have over 20 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats (among many other animals!) and have taken pet safety and CPR instruction. I also have some experience volunteering with animal rescue, rehabilitation, and fostering. As someone who has owned and cared for senior dogs with medical issues I have a special place in my heart for any animals with special needs. I also have experience with puppies and kittens, and have house trained both. I work from home with a flexible schedule and our house has a good sized fenced in yard for potty breaks so can take them out as often as needed and dogs will rarely be left unattended. I enjoy long walks and hikes, and live close to a park, so every dog under my care who loves walks will enjoy long ones every day. I work from home with a flexible schedule and can generally work around your needs for pick up and drop off. Walks and play time are already a regular part of my schedule with my own pups and would love to include yours too! Your pet’s safety is my number one priority whether they are boarding in my home, or I’m watching them in yours. As someone who has anxiety when my furbabies are being watched by someone, I know how hard being away from them is and strive to give you daily checks ins, or pet camera greetings, so you can see how your pet is doing. I have a fenced in yard that’s extremely secure, and your pets will never be alone out there. I do require a meet and greet so I can learn how to best care for your pet’s individual needs. Above all, my goal is to ensure your pet returns to you happy and safe after a fun vacation.

“Kimberley is very professional and kind. She gave us frequent updates on our dog and walked him multiple times a day. She sent many pictures. Felt very safe having our pup cared by her. Also allowed flexible drop off and pick up. Highly recommend!”

About: Dogs have been a constant my entire life. I've always owned or been a caretaker to them. I truly prefer their company to humans! Experience administering medications to senior dogs. I work in film and television and it has been terribly slow this year. Going to try this for the summer to see if it's a good fit. I will be home with your pooch all day most days. They'll have access to the fenced yard if I need to run to the store. I have an adorable house with two fenced outdoor areas your pooch will be free to explore. Also live in a great walking neighborhood close to some wonderful trails if your dog is into hiking. Couch potatoes welcome, too!

“Willard and Kimberly took such good care of my pup. They are so kind and caring, and asked me lots of questions about my dog to make sure he was well cared for. They also sent me lots of pics and gave me great updates!”

“So grateful for Therese being able to take Zoe for daycare on semi short notice, very personable with easy and quick communication. Felt very comfortable leaving Zoe with Therese Will definitely be back, thanks again!”

About: I discovered my love for dogs (relatively) later in life, when my parents adopted a sweet middle-aged mutt when I went to college! Since then, I have adored dogs and in addition to caring for my family dog on school breaks I’ve been petsitting (in my home and others’) for friends and friends of friends over the past few years. I enjoy getting to know the personality of each animal and catering to it, whether that means long walks or long cuddle sessions on the couch. I love all dogs, but due to a bad personal experience with a pit bull, I prefer to work with other breeds. I’m a freelance writer and in between jobs I am at home and available to care for your pet on whatever schedule you prefer. My only recurring conflicts are comedy shows I perform in at night but they rarely go longer than 2 hours. I live in an ADU that is a tiny home so dogs on the smaller side will be more comfortable there. I have room for a crate but sleep in a bunk bed, so if your dog prefers sleeping with a person, a dog I can comfortably lift in and out may be better (I’ve done it before with a Cavapoo). In a client’s home any size of dog is fine, I just want to know the house rules for both me and the dog to follow and if it’s a long sit check out the space beforehand.

“Liv was the first sitter I booked on Rover and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She took such good care of my dog Turner during daycare. Turner has separation anxiety, and Liv immediately knew how to make her feel safe and comfortable. She kept me in the loop with updates and photos, which really put my mind at ease. It’s so hard to find someone you fully trust with your dog, but Turner was in such good hands. I’m so glad we found Liv!”

“Erika was great with my pup! She was so accommodating to last minute plans & sent me soooo many photo updates during the stay. Her place was perfect for my big dog. She was great & I will definitely be booking her again.”

About: Offering dog boarding at my home at Highland Park in Monterey Hills Friday through Sunday. I have a 3yr. old yellow Labrador named Bakabon who enjoys the company too; if your pup or pups enjoy spending time with other dogs as well... I recently took care of a friends 2 dogs for a few weeks over the holidays and really enjoyed the extra company and experience. My home has ample room for dogs as well as a great front and back outdoor patio with a large back yard for them to enjoy that is all secure and fenced in. I know you have options of many brick and mortar dog boarding places but I believe and I would want our beloved Bakabon to have a more hands on experience when my family is out of town. Your dog/dogs must be house and potty trained also we will need them to have current vaccinations/shots with documentation. Let me know if you are interested and we’d love to invite you over to meet up and introduce your pup/pups with Bakabon.

About: As a lifelong pet lover with extensive experience, I offer a unique blend of compassion and expertise in caring for dogs and cats of all ages and breeds. Whether energetic and playful, shy and reserved, or bit of separation anxiety, I connect effortlessly with cats and dogs, including cherished seniors, tailoring my approach to meet each pet’s individual needs. I understand the importance of adhering to specific dietary requirements and maintaining familiar routines, providing personalized care that ensures your dog’s happiness and well-being while you’re away by creating a safe, fun, and stress-free environment. Whether engaging in playtime, maintaining exercise routines, or offering extra cuddles, I aim to make your pet’s experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Occasional trips back to Australia to visit family make full-time pet ownership challenging, so pet-sitting allows me to enjoy animal companionship while offering families a dependable and trusted sitter. With my diverse experience in handling various breeds and personalities, you can rest assured that your furry family members are in capable hands with me. I work from home part-time, offering a flexible schedule with plenty of time to provide consistent love and companionship to keep your pets occupied and engaged throughout their stay. Your pets safety and happiness is my utmost priority. Here’s how I cultivate a secure and loving environment for your furry companions Boarding I take great pride in providing my little furry friends with everything they need, from indoor and outdoor bowls—and collapsible bowls ready for our walks, and fresh bottled spring water always on hand. There is also an abundance of freshly laundered, plush blankets, a cozy, soft UGG indoor bed designed especially for the smaller pups and a matching plush bed for my bigger fur babies . For outdoor relaxation, there’s a 42-inch raised canopy bed that offers generous space for small and medium-sized dogs while creating a cool, shaded retreat on sunny days, and with our secure, fenced yard right off the back door, I feel at ease knowing they can safely frolic and play during their stay. House sitting: I care for your home and pets as if they were my own, creating a secure and comfortable environment in your absence. I follow their regular routine to maintain stability, from feeding and exercise to playtime and affection. I also stay attentive to home security, ensuring doors and windows are properly secured and keeping a watchful eye on the surroundings. Dog walks: Ensuring your dog’s safety and enjoyment during walks is my top priority. I ensure leashes and harnesses are properly fitted to maintain control and prevent potential injuries. By staying alert to traffic, other animals, and environmental hazards, I navigate routes that keep your dog safe and comfortable. Additionally, I monitor weather conditions to adjust the length and timing of walks, avoiding extreme temperatures that could affect your dog’s well-being. Transparent communication: I prioritize transparent communication by providing regular updates on your pets well-being, including photos, to ensure you feel comfortable and informed about their care. You can depend on me to create a safe and affectionate environment, ensuring your pets remain happy, healthy, and comfortable during your absence.

Heather B.
“Heather is the only person we trust to care for our dogs. We have adopted two tiny, special needs rescue dogs who came from not-so-great beginnings in life. They don’t trust easily. They both instantly took to Heather. You can tell she has a lot of experience with dogs. She takes the time to really bond with each pup. Every time they come back from a visit with Heather, they are so happy. We’re grateful to have a person who cares for our dogs as they would their own. Heather rocks!”

Ellen L.
“I booked Ellen on a whim the day of a flight before a 10 day trip due to a cancellation from a different sitter. I've never left my dog with anyone he's not familiar with so I was incredibly nervous doing this, but Ellen did a fantastic job taking care of him!! He's huge (a doberman), takes medication, & has lots of weird quirks about him so he isn't the easiest client but him & Ellen got along wonderfully. I'm so relieved to have another person I can trust with him!”

Liv R.

Kazuki F.
“Kazuki has watched my two pups on multiple occasions. She is so sweet with them! They get plenty of exercise and love! She has a large property with a very clean house, hiking trails, and a dog park nearby! She always sends me pics and videos showing them having a good time playing and getting alot of love and affection. My wife and I can leave town knowing our dogs are not only being well-taken care of, they are being pampered. And the updates are so appreciated. She is a true animal lover. I cannot say enough about Kazuki!”

Margaret H.
“For years, we’ve trusted Margaret with our beloved Tori, and her care has always been nothing short of exceptional. Tori absolutely lights up at the thought of her mini-vacations at Margaret’s home, as well as when Margaret comes to pet sit at our house—each time, she’s showered with love and attention. Knowing that our little girl is in such capable and caring hands brings us immense peace of mind and we would not hesitate to book her again in the future. We’re truly grateful for Margaret’s unwavering dedication.”
