“Marble stayed for a full 14-hour day and had a fun time playing with Christina's dogs and exploring the apartment and patio. Christina kept us updated throughout and made sure she got a good amount of exercise. Christina was very prompt in communicating around pick-up and drop-off. Overall Christina's place is a friendly daycare environment for small dogs, even ones on the shy end of the spectrum.”

“I left my dog Arya with Angelica for day care for two days in a row and it was awesome. Arya had other small dogs to play with and a back yard to run around in and Angelica and her daughter were so nice to her and caring.”

“Jing was truly amazing with my dogs! From the very first meeting, they were instantly calm around her, which never happens with new people. She has such a gentle, grounding presence, and you can tell she genuinely understands animals. Before the actual sitting, she even took them for a walk at the park to help them get comfortable with her, which I appreciated so much. Throughout the day, Jing kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. She was incredibly communicative, reliable, and attentive to every detail. My dogs absolutely adored her, and I could see how well cared for and relaxed they were when I got home. I would definitely use her services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and thoughtful sitter!”

“Very communicative and always excited to see our Luna! Luna basically runs inside now and I've never seen her so happy outside our home. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her!”

“If you're looking for a clean and reliable place for your pup to stay, you can definitely count on Patrick! It's clear that Patrick has professional experience working with animals, and he has even created a thoughtful living space for all the animals to comfortably stay in.”

“I appreciate Lawrence so much and always feel that Bailey is in great hands with him. Lawrence always provides a fun, safe, and caring environment. I love the frequent photo and video updates! Thank you again, Lawrence!”

“Sirius had a great time at Gigi and Steven's! Sirius can be a little anxious around new dogs, but it seemed like he was able to quickly make some new friends! Sirius can also be a bit of an escape artist, so I loved how secure Gigi & Steven's place was. Thanks again!”

About: I've shared my home with two to four dogs since coming to LA 15 years ago. Because I work from home, your pup gets a calm, dog-savvy human nearby all day — frequent yard breaks, play, and belly rubs instead of hours alone. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, medications, and high-energy dogs. I feel time together and attention is what bonds both humans and dogs, and seeing them go from anxious and confused to a happy member of "the pack" is one of the more rewarding parts of taking care of them, so I prefer stays long or frequent enough for your pup to feel at home with me and in my home, but I'm also always willing to cover a tight spot or step in for a day of daycare. I work from home on a flexible schedule, so your dog has company and supervision for the entire day — regular walks, play, and potty breaks, not long stretches alone. I offer boarding and daycare and take only up to three dogs at a time, and mostly for medium to long term boarding, so it's a calm environment without a ton of new dogs coming and going. I'm glad to keep your dog's normal routine for meals, walks, naps, and bedtime. I always mark as unavailable any days I have travel or major time commitments that will keep me away from home for more than an hour or two, so they will have constant care while they're here. Your dog will have free range of my 3 bedroom home, detached studio, and very large, securely fenced backyard full of fruit trees. I don't have pets of my own right now, so your pup gets the whole space and my full attention. I'm happy to crate or set up a quiet separate area if that's what your dog is used to, and I keep things calm and low-stress. My space is easily partitioned to allow dogs to eat, nap, or hang out alone in peace if that's what they prefer. I have a doggy door for dogs who like to let themselves in/out at their leisure. (it's about 50/50 whether they figure it out and make use of it lol) I converted our detached 2 car garage into a recording studio, where I work, so we have the quietest place in town in the event we have to make it through fireworks or if your pet prefers quiet or isolation. Both the house and studio have their own separate HVAC systems, so they'll definitely stay comfortable. I don't generally use kennels or crates, but if your dog prefers or is used to using one, by all means bring it along. I have always slept with my own dogs, so happy to co-sleep with yours if that's what they're used to, but also glad to maintain whatever rules you generally set for them in regard to being on beds/furniture. I have found even "reactive" and "solitary" dogs very quickly acclimate to a more social environment (it usually only takes 3-4 hours) and I never leave them together unsupervised until they're demonstrating clear friendliness to each other. Many dog parents bring their pups over just for this kind of socialization, and it's great to watch a dog that "hates all other dogs" running and playing in the yard with the group after snarling at everyone just a few hours before.
“Felicia is awesome. She is kind, down to earth, and was patient with my shy girl. It was her first time there and sent me photos throughout the day. I love that she has outdoor and indoor space and plenty of comfy sofas for them to lounge”

“Isabella was fantastic with Molly! You could tell she genuinely cared and Molly had such a great time playing with her dog Luffy. Thank you for taking great care of Molly and making this an easy experience!”

“Kiyomi was amazing with our dog. She took him for many walks, accommodated his medication schedule, played with him, fed him, and took really good care of our pup. I am so grateful we were able to find her and we will continue to use her dog sitting services! She also took so many cute pictures and it seemed like they had a wonderful day together.”

“Freddie was so stoked! He got lots of play time with his new bff Henri and was very well taken care of. Will definitely book with Michael again. Truly felt like Freddie was with family.”

“We are so happy we found Catherine and Albert on Rover! Our two dogs absolutely love it there, and they take such great care of them. We love the updates and photos, and the report card they give at the end of the day is the best thing ever!”

“Amanda was GREAT! From start to finish, she helped my anxious dog feel so comfortable. She was both Kind & Excellent at communicating! Would definitely recommend & book again(:”

Joy was absolutely great with Leia, and Leia loved her! Joy was very mindful of keeping Leia cool and comfortable during the recent heat wave, which I really appreciated. She provided regular updates throughout the day, giving me total peace of mind. I highly recommend Joy for any future daycare needs!

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Angelica was wonderful with my newly adopted dog, Foster. I had her babysit him just two days after I brought him home, and she treated him with so much patience and care. Foster is an emotional support dog for other dogs, and Angelica clearly understood how to make him feel safe and comfortable right away. She gave me detailed, glowing updates the whole time and it was obvious she genuinely enjoyed spending time with him. Beyond the excellent care, Angelica showed real compassion. I was still grieving the loss of my dog Brownie, and I ended up sharing more of that with her than I expected to. She listened with so much warmth and understanding, and it meant more to me than she probably realizes. Foster was happy and relaxed the whole time, which tells me everything I need to know. Angelica has earned our trust completely, and she's the only sitter I'll be booking for Foster from now on. Highly, highly recommend her.

Steven was absolutely wonderful with my Sophia! He kept me updated throughout the day, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. Most importantly, Sophia felt so comfortable with him that she was able to eat and sleep peacefully — something she normally does not do with people she isn’t familiar with. It was clear that Steven was patient, caring, and attentive to her needs. I’m so grateful for the excellent care he gave her and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!

Can we say concierge level service? Sylvia is just that. The way she took care of my fur baby was exceptional and I can tell she enjoyed her visit. Not to mention, the oasis she calls her home is just gorgeous! Thank you so much! We are so lucky to have found you.

Cara is amazing and took wonderful care of my dog, Sombra! She sent plenty of videos and pics of Sombra interacting with with the dogs, resting, and cuddling with her, which gave me a peace of mind knowing Sombra was having a great experience. Cara showed genuine care for Sombra and that made me very happy. Will absolutely book again!

Alvin was great! I appreciate that he accommodated me at the last minute and gave great tips and advice for my puppy who got along great with him. He sent several pics throughout the day. I will definitely be reaching out to Alvin again when I need a sitter or for overnight stays. I highly recommend him!

Steven was super helpful kind and welcoming to both myself and Bailey and I will definitely continue to book with him when our schedule is a line for sure! He is very accommodating and respond back within a proper timeframe and even when Bailey was a bit nervous, she was gentle and caring with her as I saw from the pics he updated me with throughout the day! I give him 10 out of 10!!

Javey took excellent care of Penny. I could tell she had a very active day with his big dogs Panko and Boba because she slept hard when she got home. They are gentle giants, don’t let their size concern you. They are well behaved and so sweet. Javey kept in constant contact throughout the stay with photos and texts, so I knew she was fine the whole time.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
