I am experienced in administrating medication, as my own beloved dog battled leukemia during the last year of his life, giving me firsthand experience administering medication and providing compassionate, attentive care. - Training. Skilled in training dogs (even the oldest of dogs) with new tricks, walking skills (how not to pull or be reactive to other dogs/humans), and am well-versed at how to reassure pups with separation anxiety. Plenty of Updates - I have a knack for taking the cutest dog pics and will make sure to keep your mind at ease while I am watching over your fur baby by sending plenty of photos of them having fun on our adventures around town and hanging at home. Kiyomi is the BEST!! She made me feel so comfortable leaving my Tripod Jazz with her. It was my first time trusting someone new and she was beyond exceptional!! She’s the sweetest and truly loves animals. She sent me sooo many photos and updates and although I was on a quick vacation, my dog Jazz was too! She took him on so many outdoor adventures! He had an absolute blast! I don’t think you’ll find a better sitter. She is the best!!
Kiyomi took such good care of our two dogs while our family was on vacation that we were able to truly enjoy our vacation without worrying about anything. Our lucky dogs got more walks than they get with us on a normal basis, and she even did some light training or reinforcement of training and games with them to keep their interest up. She sent batches pf photos daily with an update of what they did that day which our kids loved since they missed the dogs so much. And our dogs looked so happy and relaxed in the photos - I could tell they were very comfortable with Kiyomi. Would definitely rebook Kiyomi the next time we are out of town.
Kiyomi is wonderful! My dog had tons of fun staying with her. Kiyomi took my dog on lots of walks and hikes, and sent great update photos during the entire stay. I was never worried about my dog being in a new place for her first stay with Kiyomi. She is super responsive and I will definitely book her again in the future.
Frances loved staying with Kiyomi while I went to the Chargers game! She was well taken care of and so happy.
We’ve recently been nervous to leave our pup behind after some bad experiences with friends and family. So couldn’t have been happier to find Kiyomi who went above and beyond to make sure our dog Zelda was taken care of and well loved while we were away. We got regular updates and felt totally reassured that she was in the very best of hands. Highly recommended!
Jake loved staying with Kiyomi and we highly recommend her. She went above and beyond with bellyrubs and lots of attention to make sure he felt at ease while we were away. Communication was excellent as we received several photos per day of them going on walks or chilling at home. It was clear she wanted to make Jake feel as comfortable as possible from prioritizing his stairs to get on the bed to leaving one of our shirts out for him to lay on. She also offered to pick him up before our flight, which was a huge help! We will definitely be reaching back out next time we need someone to watch Jake. * I also wanted to note that our review here is a genuine 5 star review. I am pretty picky about who we leave Jake with and have left him with other sitters in LA in the past who had lots of 5 star ratings that I felt were not deserved but I had the opposite experience with Kiyomi who outperformed our expectations. Given our lackluster experience with dog sitters in LA in the past we were a bit apprehensive about leaving Jake but Kiyomi materially allayed those fears and we will definitely be reaching out again next time we go away as Jake was in very good hands.

Schedule
I work from home as a professor and live a very active lifestyle, including daily walks, weekly hikes, and bike rides. My dog clients love all of the activity, exploration and love and affection I provide. I am a huge fan of giving belly rubs to furry friends, and I have perfected my doggy massage which makes them melt. Your dog will get filtered water, plenty of love and belly rubs, on leash walks & hikes, and on-time and appropriate meals and medication.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog's safety and comfort are always my highest priorities. Because I only host one client at a time, I can closely monitor your pup throughout the day and tailor everything—from walks to playtime to rest—to their individual needs. My home offers plenty of cozy places to nap and relax, along with a sunny outdoor area where your dog can safely enjoy fresh air, sniff around, or lounge in the sunshine. Dogs are never left unattended outdoors. I'm just a short walk from Garfield Park and only minutes driving from Lacy Park, where I love taking my dog guests for walks, hikes, and adventures in nature. For every car ride, I use a rear-seat dog hammock and canine seat belts to keep your pup safe and comfortable while I drive them around town. I'm also happy to schedule a Meet & Greet before your booking so everyone—especially your dog—can feel confident it's the right fit.
A typical day
A typical day would start and end with a big cuddle session. Althoug every stay is customized around your dog's normal routine, the cuddles, mental stimulation, and their normal routine stay constant. Most days include three walks, with at least one longer adventure (weather permitting), plenty of sniffing, enrichment, playtime, cuddle breaks, and lots of one-on-one attention throughout the day. Depending on your dog's personality and energy level, we might explore nearby parks, enjoy a neighborhood stroll, play games indoors, or simply relax together while I work from home. I often give rubs and play with the pups during my work breaks, which we both enjoy! There are no crowded playgroups, rotating dogs, or divided attention—just a calm, personalized environment where your dog can settle in, feel safe, and truly enjoy their stay.
