“I left my dog Arya with Angelica for day care for two days in a row and it was awesome. Arya had other small dogs to play with and a back yard to run around in and Angelica and her daughter were so nice to her and caring.”

“Jackson came home so tired that he must have had a wonderful time with Cat, Albert, and Trace! 😍 they provided the cutest report card about his day 💕 I also really appreciate how flexible they were with drop off and pick up times, due to my unpredictable work schedule. So glad to have Jackson enjoy daycare here!”

“Jing was truly amazing with my dogs! From the very first meeting, they were instantly calm around her, which never happens with new people. She has such a gentle, grounding presence, and you can tell she genuinely understands animals. Before the actual sitting, she even took them for a walk at the park to help them get comfortable with her, which I appreciated so much. Throughout the day, Jing kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. She was incredibly communicative, reliable, and attentive to every detail. My dogs absolutely adored her, and I could see how well cared for and relaxed they were when I got home. I would definitely use her services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and thoughtful sitter!”

“Tremendous care and play for my supercharged rott. year old- she was even worn out the next day, which I've never seen. Great communication throughout- highly recommended.”

“Michael to the rescue!! Even with short notice, he was able to come through in sitting my girl for the day. Kind, respectful & communicated well through the whole exchange. Would book again!”

About: Hi there! I have long loved being a dog mom and thought to start sitting to give myself and my own dog some extra company and fun times. I can usually take up to two additional dogs to my own. If I am able to sit for your dog, I will be working from home. However, I am not available everyday. This is why I recommend planning in advance for my availability. I have a single family home with a fenced in dog run and patio for them to play in. They are free to be in the house and not be restricted in movements. However, I do not let pets on the furniture or beds. However doggy beds are available.
“Joyce was great! She gave many updates while my pup was there for day care. We were heading to Universal Studios for the day; she was so accommodating with our drop off and pick up schedule. Will most definitely will book her again!”

“Very accommodating! I could tell my pup felt so happy, comfy and spoiled at their house! They were also able to keep Dante separate from their own pup. Went above and beyond in small ways. Great photos and took him out for potty again right before it was time for pickup.”

About: For nearly two decades, my neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to care for their pets when they are away. I have extensive experience looking after dogs and cats of all ages and needs. Not only can I take your high-energy dog for a long walk or run, I will also slow things down to give your elderly pet the time and attention they need. I’m known for never refusing a belly rub and always loving your pets like my own. I am also happy to check up on aquarium dwellers (like my client who has goldfish!) I am a professional dancer and summer is the slow season, so I have flexible hours that can fit anyone’s busy day. I am available for daytime check-ins, walks, and daycare any day of the week. My schedule easily allows for pet pickups/drop offs and house sitting. I am home most of the day to keep your dog company. If I am out of the house it usually will only be for a couple hours and I have a very friendly dog who will comfort your dog in my absence. Because I am home most of the time, I can do exercise and potty breaks as frequently as you would like.
“Amanda was GREAT! From start to finish, she helped my anxious dog feel so comfortable. She was both Kind & Excellent at communicating! Would definitely recommend & book again(:”

“My pup had a great stay with Frances! It was his first time in day care, and he really enjoyed himself. We are planning to go back right away. It feels good to have someone nearby who we can trust to care for our dog when we have things going on or are out of town. She sent tons of pictures and was very in tune with our dog. Thank you Frances!”

“Bingbing was super sweet and accommodating. She hosted a meet a greet before confirming booking to ensure my doggo Luna felt comfortable in her care. She has a nice big gated yard with plenty or grass and sunbathing space, and she made sure I brought my doggo some toys and a blanket and feeding instructions to make sure Luna could adjust as it was her first time in a doggy daycare setting. She sent me many many updates and candid Luna photos and videos throughout the day. Overall 10/10 all around. Hope to bring my baby back soon! She LOVED Bingbing 🤩!”

“Felicia was an excellent sitter!! Since my dog is very old and needs special attention, Felicia was extremely accommodating to all my requests. My dog is a shy and anxious chihuahua; however Felicia and her family were able to make my dog feel at ease! She frequently sends me pictures and videos throughout the day, and they all show how happy my dog was there. I would 110% recommend Felicia for anyone who needs a dog sitter!”

“Carmen is the most amazing puppy sitter! She follows our daily schedule for Frankie which includes meals, potty routine, light gentle play, naps, and training! I am so lucky to have her care for my Frankie. It’s so hard for me to trust anyone with an 3mo old puppy and Carmen immediately proved how caring and attentive she is. I receive photos, videos, and updates that keep my mind at ease while during my long shifts at work.”

“Very communicative and always excited to see our Luna! Luna basically runs inside now and I've never seen her so happy outside our home. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her!”

About: Hello! My name is Jianlei. I’ve had the privilege of caring for three dogs, from their playful puppy days through their senior years. Over time, I’ve learned how to meet their changing needs with patience, love, and attention. Every dog has their own unique personality, and it brings me real joy to understand and care for them as individuals. When you entrust your dog to me, I will personally care for them with the same love and attention I give my own family. Your dog will receive plenty of personal attention in a calm, quiet, and loving environment. Your dog will enjoy 24/7 companionship while staying with me. I spend most of my time at home, and whenever I go out—whether for a walk, a trip to the park, or even a quick errand—I will take your dog with me whenever possible. The only exceptions are essential trips to places where dogs are not allowed, such as the grocery store or medical appointments. We have a cozy, welcoming home with a fenced yard and a small garden where your dog can safely relax and play during the day. On weekends, if the weather and schedule allow, I’ll also take your dog to a larger park where they can explore, enjoy new sights and smells, and safely socialize with other dogs. While staying with us, your dog will receive gentle brushing, plenty of affection, playtime, and cuddles every day. If you’d like, I can also trim their nails weekly to help keep them comfortable and healthy. I also offer homemade meals prepared with fresh, organic ingredients and tailored to your dog’s dietary needs and preferences. This is an optional add-on service with an additional fee. Feel free to ask me about meal options and pricing. Your dog is welcome to explore all areas of our home except the bed. If needed, I can also prepare a quiet, private room where they can relax and have their own space. I understand that dogs need both freedom and a sense of security, and I’ll do everything I can to help them feel calm, comfortable, and loved while they’re away from home. I truly look forward to welcoming your furry friend into our home! Our Daily & Weekly Schedule Here’s a little glimpse into the daily and weekly routine your pet will enjoy while staying with us: 🌅 Morning: Start the day with a refreshing walk around the neighborhood to get some fresh air and stretch those legs. Feed breakfast and make sure everyone is happy and relaxed. 🌞 Late Morning / Early Afternoon: Brush and gently groom your dog and any of our cat friends together, keeping everyone looking their best and feeling comfy. Lots of cuddles, ear scratches, and gentle pats to show them they’re loved. Playtime in our yard or indoor playroom, depending on the weather. 🐾 Afternoon: Another walk to break up the day, offering new scents and sights to explore. More brushing, especially if your dog is a floofy friend who needs extra coat care! 🍽️ Evening: Dinner time for everyone! Relaxed playtime, snuggling up together, and winding down for a calm night. 🗓️ Weekly Highlights: Monday to Friday: Follow the daily routine above—two walks a day, daily grooming, play, and lots of love. Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): We’ll take your dog to a larger local park so they can meet new friends, play in the grass, and sniff around new areas! Extra playtime, more exploring, and a chance to socialize with other dogs if they’re comfortable. Weekly Grooming: Once a week, if you’d like, I’ll trim your dog’s nails to keep them comfortable and healthy. Your pet’s happiness and comfort are always my top priority. Each day is filled with gentle care, play, and affection, ensuring they feel at home even when they’re away from you. Let me know if there’s anything special your dog or cat enjoys—I’d love to make their stay extra special! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. Our home is a cozy and secure place, with a fenced yard and a little garden where your dog can explore safely and freely. Just a minute’s walk from our house is a lovely small park, perfect for short walks and a bit of fresh air. Inside, your dog is welcome to move freely through every room in our home—except for the bed—so they can feel part of the family. If you’d prefer, I can also set up a separate, quiet room just for your dog, giving them their own cozy retreat. If your dog needs a bit of extra space or privacy, I’m always happy to create a dedicated room for them. I understand how important it is to create a space where your dog feels relaxed and cared for, especially when they’re away from you. I’m here to offer them all the love and attention they need, so they can feel safe, calm, and truly at home.

About: I love animal and has been volunteering as a dog walker in local shelters and rescue groups since 2012. Then I joined the pet care industry doing dog walking, pet sitting, and dog boarding services. I got my certified Dog Day Care Owner and Basic Dog Training Certification along with Dog CPR certification. I have opened a Doggie Daycare/Boarding store and due to the pandemic, we are closed after four years of great business and great reputation. I provide a fun and safe environment for dogs, and there is a secured faced back yard for them to zoom, play and grass to potty. They will be having a home away from home with lots of belly rubs, toys, treats and love!! Most importantly I will keep communicating with pawrents with all the updates and cute pictures. For New dog boarding client, a half day or full day daycare is required to see if your dog is safe and comfortable at my place with other pups. Also, vaccination records are required as well including Rabies, Bordetella and DHLPP I am taking care of dogs full time so all the dogs are constantly being watched, loved and cuddled. Safety, Health and happiness of the dogs are the most important elements while they are in my care. I have a fenced backyard and dogs will never left in the backyard having zoom time or potty time without my present. I have two friendly senior dogs to keep all the dogs company in a clam environment.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - San Marino
Kiran was a huge help during our vacation in california. We booked a daycare for our dog Leo. During the day care hours kiran kept us updated on leo and sent lots of pictures. Because of her we had a peace of mind and were able to attend the concert. She was super helpful when we were running late in picking Leo. Definitely going to book her again. :)

Janice was wonderful and Ozzy loved it there. He didn’t even want to leave when I picked him up!!! I think any dog would be good here - they have a large house with kids that love dogs and a backyard, but especially if your dog is human oriented. There are so many laps to choose from!

Junyao’s warm energy and kindness made us feel comfortable that Buddy would receive great care and attention, which is a huge relief as pawrents of a dog with some attachment anxiety. Buddy liked Junyao right away, smiling, sniffing around her lovely property, and wanting to be around her. We are so happy we found Junyao, she’s the best!

Namie was so great with my Coco, who warmed up to her right away. Coco usually takes a while to get comfortable with new people, but it was clear as soon as she saw Namie that she not only felt comfortable but happy to see her. I especially appreciated all the photo updates I got throughout her stay. Thank you, Namie! :)

Steven was super helpful kind and welcoming to both myself and Bailey and I will definitely continue to book with him when our schedule is a line for sure! He is very accommodating and respond back within a proper timeframe and even when Bailey was a bit nervous, she was gentle and caring with her as I saw from the pics he updated me with throughout the day! I give him 10 out of 10!!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
