About: Honestly, I don't think I've gone more than a few months of my life without a pet around. I grew up with dogs and have since lived with and looked after dobermans, beagles, doodles, pointers, and pitbulls, amongst others, so a big, strong, or stubborn dog doesn't throw me off, and neither does a nervous first-timer. I've also lived with cats for years, so I speak fluent "aloof but secretly obsessed with you." Along the way I've picked up a lot of the extra care stuff almost by accident: giving meds on a schedule, handling a dog with leash reactivity, sticking to a strict routine for an anxious pet, being patient with a senior pet who needs a little more help getting around. I'm not saying I've seen it all, but I've seen a lot, and I actually enjoy the pets who need a bit more thought and attention. They're usually the most rewarding ones to work with. I'm currently a full-time master's student, and don't currently have other part-time work, but I will communicate if that changes in the future. I do have evening classes that are online except for one. Otherwise, I'm available to spend time with your fur babies. I like sitting in your pet's own home when that's an option. It just tends to be less stressful for them than a strange new place. Every pet's a little different, so I'm not going in with a fixed routine; I'd rather figure out what actually works for your dog or cat and stick to that. If your pet needs meds, has a quirk, or gets nervous easily, that's not a dealbreaker for me, if anything, tell me more, because I want to get it right.

About: I have volunteered and fostered dogs for a few years. I have three pups of my own and am excited to start a new journey of caring for dogs when their people need. Currently a part time nanny after teaching for six years, so I have plenty of time to play and walk with your pets! Drop off and pick up times unavailable: Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30am-1:30pm Monday-Thursday: 4:30-6pm Townhome isn't an option to pick, but it's a decent sized townhome and I own it! Community is not like an apartment complex! I have three sweet dogs to play with yours if they need a buddy. They are also not allowed upstairs, in case you have a senior dog or a dog who needs peace, your pup can have space to themselves. We have a community dog park if you're willing to let them use this (usually kept and empty). I also give lots of walks and snuggles! I am good with following a feeding and medication schedule. In the summer, we put up our temporary fence to allow for outdoor pool time!

About: Hi, I'm Kelly! If you're anything like me, your dogs aren't just pets—they're family. I know how hard it can be to leave them behind, whether you're heading to work for the day or taking a much-needed vacation. The worry about whether they're comfortable, happy, and being cared for the way you would care for them yourself is something I completely understand. Dogs & cats have been a part of my life - forever, and caring for them has always been one of my greatest joys. While Rottweilers hold a special place in my heart, I have raised and trained them for more than 25 years - I've also had the privilege of loving and raising Dachshunds, West Highland White Terriers, and German Shepherds. I truly believe that dogs thrive when they feel safe, understood, and secure. Just like people, they find comfort in familiar routines and consistency. When I'm caring for your pet, I do my best to keep their days feeling as normal and comfortable as possible, so they can relax while you're away. I’m currently a stay at home Mom. My husband and I have two children (4 years & 5 years old) and two beloved Rottweilers, Beau and Abby. Beau is our big, goofy 120-pound boy with a confident but gentle nature, and Abby is our calm and steady six-year-old girl who seems to have an old soul. We recently lost our senior dachshund Marvin. Years ago, I spent time involved in competitive obedience training and earned therapy certifications with my big dogs. Those experiences deepened my appreciation for canine behavior, communication, and the importance of building trust and understanding with our dogs. More than anything, they taught me that every dog deserves patience, kindness, and respect. I am a Christian, and my faith influences how I care for others—both people and their pets. When you're trusting me with your dog and your home, I understand what a responsibility that is. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is being cared for with genuine love, attention, and compassion. Our property is designed to give your pup a fun, safe, and relaxing vacation while you're away. We have a fully fenced backyard on just under an acre, providing plenty of room to run, play, explore, and soak up the sunshine. For dogs who love the water, we have an in-ground swimming pool, and they're welcome to swim under supervision. We even provide doggie life jackets so they can enjoy the pool safely. Your dog's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. All meals are served separately to ensure a calm, stress-free dining experience, and I use brief crate rotations when needed to give each guest quiet time or individualized attention. At bedtime, non-destructive pups are welcome to curl up on a cozy queen-size bed in our guest suite. For dogs who find comfort in background noise, I can leave the TV on to help them relax and feel at home. Each day is filled with personalized attention, games of fetch, outdoor play, cuddles, and plenty of enrichment. On warm days, our guests even enjoy dog-friendly ice cream as a special treat! My goal is for every dog to leave happy, relaxed, and excited to come back for their next vacation. Here, your pup isn't just being watched—they're treated like family and spoiled with love every step of the way. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend. I am currently a stay-at-home mom. My life is dedicated to raising my children, and pet sitting allows me to earn a little extra income while doing something I truly love. I strongly believe in routine and structure. As a former teacher, I enjoy keeping things organized and providing a consistent, comfortable environment for everyone in my care. Before caring for your pet, I'll ask plenty of questions about their daily routine, preferences, and any special needs so I can make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while they're with us. We have a spacious home with a split floor plan, which allows us to easily accommodate different dogs. If your pet is staying overnight, we can separate dogs when needed, rotate playtime, or allow them to socialize together, depending on their personalities and comfort levels. My dogs do well with other dogs of various sizes, and I always prioritize safe, supervised interactions. We have a fenced yard with a pool. My goal is to provide each pet with the right balance of rest, play, exercise, and socialization so they feel at home while you're away.

About: New to Rover but very seasoned animal professional and pet sitter. With nearly 30 years of professional hands-on experience from busy veterinary clinics to service as a nonprofit veterinary clinic board member to high volume animal rescue, I'm one of the most seasoned and knowledgeable animal caregivers you'll find on Rover. I've worked with dogs of every age, size, and temperament - from energetic puppies to seniors who need a gentler touch. I know how to read behavior, build trust, and create a safe, calm, and happy environment for every pet in my care. Also, experienced in caring for exotic birds, tortoises, farm animals, etc. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I primarily work from home. I’m able to give your pet consistent attention throughout the day, making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for in your absence. Providing reliable, high‑quality care is a priority for me, and I’m committed to giving your pet the same level of dedication I give my own pets. Ensuring safety and trust is at the center of how I care for pets. My home has a large, fully fenced yard that provides a secure space for supervised outdoor time. I share my home with three crate‑trained dogs and two friendly, laid‑back cats who enjoy greeting newcomers. I’m attentive to each pet’s comfort level and very experienced in reading behavior, which allows me to adjust interactions and routines to keep everyone feeling safe and relaxed. I take pride in caring for your pet with the same attention, patience, and respect you give them at home. **It’s also important to note that I’m trained and educated in maintaining clinical‑level cleanliness to prevent cross‑contamination. I follow strict hygiene practices to keep all pets safe, healthy, and protected during their stay.

About: I treat every dog as if they were my own. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are at work or away. I have the patience to work with puppies who are still learning good habits and the attentiveness needed to care for older dogs who may require a slower pace and extra attention. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate time throughout the day for pet care. Whether it's regular walks, drop-in visits, or providing companionship during long work shifts, I can reliably accommodate pets' needs and maintain consistent care. Safety, trust, and communication are my top priorities. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow all instructions carefully, ensure doors and gates are secure, and keep pets on leash during walks unless otherwise directed. I pay close attention to each dog's behavior, comfort level, and routine to help them feel safe and relaxed. During drop-in visits, I make sure pets have fresh water, exercise, companionship, and any other care they need while their owners are away. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and attention I would expect for my own.

About: I have been a pet owner and sitter for many years! I just recently moved to the TN area and am getting started in my new home town. I have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, turtles, ducks, crawfish, and always open to learning more! I offer a nice welcoming home with safe and relaxing accommodations for your pets. My neighborhood has private sidewalks for walking dogs and I have a fully fenced backyard (it has a pool) with space to roam. My home offers 3 levels with gates, so I can accommodate any need to keep Pets separated if need be, and have two crates if needed. I’m comfortable offering medication to your pets if not too complex. I am a stay at home mom to three kiddos who are now all in school during the day which has left my schedule pretty open! My husband and I tag-team our nightly routines making my availably flexible most of the time to care for your pets. I treat my own pets like family members and they have a key role in our own family. This is how I plan to treat your pets, and offer them loving care, kindness, and patience.

About: I am in the vet program at a local college and have worked with animals in school; Including dogs, cats, reptiles, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I love taking care of animals and don’t care about messes or sick. I have also volunteered at an animal shelter and have learned basic care. I’ve always had large dogs and currently have 2 dogs: a large and a small dog. I have a leopard gecko too and would love to take care of any reptiles/amphibians! I have classes Monday-Thursday and Fri-Sunday I am free all day. I just need a few days notice to make sure I stay free to take care of your pets! I love to go on walks and so your dogs will get exercised! I will take them out regularly and do not mind cleaning up messes or sick.

About: I grew up in the country, where I had more dogs than neighbourhood friends. I have rescued countless numbers of animals in my day. My first job was animal control for shelby county when I was sixteen. Now I'm everybody's favorite dog Uncle. I've had numerous friends and family request I watch over their pets because they know they'll be in good hands. Just last year I lost my best friend, a 15 year old black lab named Todd Philip. Turns out he rescued me, now it's time to give back! I'm a motorcycle mechanic so I work Monday-Friday 9am-3pm but this is "very" flexible. I can be available early mornings or evenings. 6am-8am or 4pm-11pm Plenty of room for laying around in my apartment, second story balcony for hanging outside. There is a big dog park less than 50 feet away from my door. Also there are 3 more dog parks that are at adjacent complexes that are easy to walk too. Less than five minutes walk to Percy Priest lake one of my favorite places to explore.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Hendersonville stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hendersonville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Hendersonville with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hendersonville. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
