Dog Walker and Sitter
Taking care of pups is simply my life, and I think being a sitter is the best job in the world! I love providing pups with the love they need when their owners are away. We’ve even been known to take in some strays into our home on a temporary basis to give them a safe place while they search for a forever home. We have a pup of our own, Ava, who is an 18-month-old Dachshund/hound mix. She is very high spirited and loves to play! I am home between three and four days a week, which means that I’m a good fit for pups that need a bit more attention during a stay. Although I will be the primary caregiver, my husband Hugo will also help care for any pup staying with us. He is happy to take over the walking duties if I’m unable to for whatever reason, and can also help with drop-in visits (with the owner’s permission). He’s as much of a dog lover as I am! Dogs rule our home, and we love it. Ava is a bona fide part of the family: she sleeps in the bed, snuggles on the couch, and sun bathes on the patio. Any dog staying with us can expect the same, with your permission of course! In any case, you can expect daily updates from me, and I’ll make sure to let you know how your pup is doing and what we’ve done for the day. I’m always taking cute pictures too, so you can definitely expect a few glamour shots too! We live in an apartment complex in Madison, TN. There is a small dog park here within walking distance and other larger ones a short drive away. The complex does not offer much in the way of walking paths but the housing development behind it does. It is safe, well lit, and has plenty of sidewalks, so this is where we usually like to walk. We’re happy to accommodate any special walking requests as well!

Sidney has been doing drop-in visits for us to check in on our dogs for a long time now. She's completely reliable, communicative, kind, and so great with our old lady dog and puppy alike. And she takes the best photos!

A typical day
Hugo and I enjoy visiting the many great Tennessee state parks. They’re great to visit when we’re tired of the local dog parks, and Ava is always happy to explore as well. We’ve picked out a few good ones of our own, but we’re always open to recommendations if you’ve got them. There are plenty of things to do locally as well, so we’ll have a ton of opportunities to get out and socialize. We’re also happy to spend some quality time indoors, and we’re not opposed to going on double cuddle duty!
