About: I’ve taken care of horses, dogs and cats my whole life. I’d be happy to make your pets feel at home while you’re away and love them as my own! I work from home full time so your pet will get all the attention they want! I know my family has had a hard time finding good help with our dogs when we want to go on vacation so I’d like to be there for yours. We want to make sure we don’t mess up any of your training so please let me know if there’s a no furniture rule in your home. Otherwise I like to keep them as cozy and loved as possible.

There is some sibling rivalry between my two cats and he made sure both of them had a chance to eat by sticking around and feeding them in separate rooms if need be. He also kept an eye on the house, and kept me informed of any suspicious activity in the neighborhood, made sure our windows were locked, took out the trash, etc. He was very communicative and responsive. This definitely made me feel more at ease during our trip. When the Microsoft crash shut all the airlines down, he reached out to see if our flight was affected and said he could keep feeding the cats if needed. I would highly recommend Doug for other pet owners, and would definitely use his services again in the future.”

About: Hi! I’m Amanda, a registered nurse and lifelong animal lover offering drop-in visits, walks, and boarding in my home. I currently travel all throughout Nashville and surrounding areas providing wound care to patients, so my schedule is extremely flexible and there’s a good chance I’m already in your area often. My nursing background has made me very dependable, attentive, patient, and comfortable handling routines, medications, senior pets, puppies, and anxious dogs. I’m also a dog mom myself, so I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I treat every pet like family, and yes, I will absolutely send you a million pictures and updates because I love getting them of my own dogs too. <3 I have a very flexible schedule throughout the week since I work as a registered nurse traveling throughout Nashville and surrounding areas providing wound care to patients in their homes. Because I’m already driving all over the city daily, I’m often able to accommodate drop-ins, walks, and check-ins in many different areas. I’m available for boarding in my home as well and will always make sure your pets get plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, love, and updates throughout the day. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have two friendly dogs of my own and a fenced yard for safe outdoor play and potty breaks. I understand that every pet has different needs and routines, so I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, crate routines, and any special requests to help them feel comfortable and secure. As a nurse, I’m very attentive, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented. I’ll treat them like family and send plenty of pictures and updates along the way because I know how much that means as a pet parent.

About: I live with 7 dogs and 1 cat! One is a senior disabled dog. First time on rover but not a first time pet lover! I boycott zoos, and I care about the details. I do have a main job and my schedule does vary week to week but if I have at least a 5 day notice I’ll be able to accommodate With cats I always respect their boundaries make sure they’re are fed, have clean water to drink and are comfortable. Dogs I always show love and pets and give them undivided attention. I can take them out whenever is needed even walk them.

About: I am the youngest of 4 girls and we always got the same pets together. But for some reason, my pets always lived the longest! I like to think its because I took the time to educate, play and love on my pets. My first pet was when I was 7: a hermit crab. Then a finch, a parakeet, a hamster and a rabbit. My hamster even knew his name, Ted, like a teddy bear. So when all the hamsters escaped their cage, only Ted came back! When my family got our first dog, Kovu, I quickly became his best friend (after my dad, of course). I taught him sit, down, shake, spin and roll over. We got a second dog, Hercules, who I taught all those tricks to as well as beg! Herc was a little more agile than Hunky Kovu. Kovu went on to learn how to retrieve their dog bowls for dinner and to help carry bags of trash to the trashcan or groceries to the house. As Herc got older, he became more anxious. So I’d give him extra cuddles every 4th of July and put on his vest that felt like a hug around him. Both Kovu and Herc have gone on to Dog Heaven after 14 years of life each. And I’ve gone on to live with a roommate with a very skiddish, anxious dog to owning two rescues with my Husband, Jax and Milo. They too, know all the tricks I taught my family dogs and have learned to be great around our 3-month old baby. I’m working part time in the early morning hours on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Otherwise, I am free pretty much all day to care for your fur babies. If you have a fenced yard, I’ll make sure to get them plenty outside time for play. If not, I’m happy to take them for walks throughout the day. I’ll make sure to clean up after them so your home stays nice and tidy while you are away. I can give them a bath if needed and time for tricks and treats if you allow!

About: At 61 years old, I bring a lifetime of experience caring for animals of all kinds—from birds to horses and just about everything in between. Over the years, I have fostered both dogs and cats and have shared my life with dozens of animals of my own, including squirrels, birds, and horses. Animals have always been at the center of my heart, and I would love the opportunity to share my passion, dedication, and love with your furry or feathered companions while you are away. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, whether it’s stopping by for a quick visit, taking a dog for a walk, or staying overnight to keep them company. I also have four acres of safe, fenced pasture where dogs can run and play freely, which brings me as much joy as it does them. One of my favorite things is having a four-legged companion join me on hikes or simply spending quiet time together—it’s the kind of companionship that always feels special. I am typically available to sit Monday through Friday, however, I will consider weekends for walking, feeding, etc… I prefer overnight stays to be during the week if possible. I prefer caring for your precious pet in your home, walking, feeding and staying if you need me to. There may be times when I am able to bring your bed home with me for the day. I work on a case by case basis depending on the situation.
