There is some sibling rivalry between my two cats and he made sure both of them had a chance to eat by sticking around and feeding them in separate rooms if need be. He also kept an eye on the house, and kept me informed of any suspicious activity in the neighborhood, made sure our windows were locked, took out the trash, etc. He was very communicative and responsive. This definitely made me feel more at ease during our trip. When the Microsoft crash shut all the airlines down, he reached out to see if our flight was affected and said he could keep feeding the cats if needed. I would highly recommend Doug for other pet owners, and would definitely use his services again in the future.”

About: I've taken care of other dogs on and off for at least 15 years, and always been in charge of the house pets. My dog Boba and I go to the park and have lots of experience interacting with many dogs. We get lots of exercise together, have a big yard, and have lots of balls to fetch! If pet sitting, would leave your pet alone for at most 2 hours to bring my dog to the park, if he needs it, or a few minutes to grab food. Would be willing to bring your dog to the park with us. Mostly free roam of house and fenced in and camera'd ~1 acre yard. Fenced in yard, cameras outside to watch. Do not leave home during the day, pet will always have someone nearby. Multiple water bowls and beds.

About: I’ve been a dog person for as long as I can remember! I grew up with Airedale Terriers and started caring for other people’s pets early - from neighborhood dog walker in middle school, to go-to pet sitter in college, and eventually an experienced Rover sitter. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities, and needs, along with cats, small animals, and even a chameleon. My own three dogs have expanded that experience even further. Maia, my beagle and soul dog, has seizures, chronic elevated liver enzymes, allergies, a time-sensitive medication regimen, and a customized diet. Her care involves multiple veterinary specialists, and she’s been through emergency surgery, specialty dental care, and most recently a liver biopsy. Because of her, medications, special diets, navigating complex care plans, and noticing subtle changes are very familiar territory. Willow, my timid rescue who went from foster to family came to us fearful of nearly everything (ceilings and shadows being the scariest) and she didn’t even know what a bed was. Since then, we’ve been learning brave together, slowly discovering that new people, places, and experiences can be safe. She’s taught me so much about reading body language, encouraging without pushing, and recognizing when a nervous dog simply needs patience and space. I have a huge soft spot for shy and fearful dogs, especially the ones who make you earn their trust. About: I have been dog sitting for 10 years. Not only will they get a walk or visit but they will also receive a belly rub and play time. I am currently available everyday for the next couple weeks and then I will be available 4 days a week. Once I start work again my days vary from each week. Dog walking is a passion because I love walking and will gladly have a little companion walk beside me. I will take great care of your best friend and make sure he is well exercised. About: Before becoming a mom, I lived dogs and learning dog training. It was my passion. Certified with 16hrs continued training, apprenticeships, 1yr experience at a large veterinarian hospital, certified in dog first aid, studied dog psychology, along with several of my own on the side dogs I have personally owned and trained or helped others to train- to say I have years of experience is more than just helping friends and family along the way. About: I am the youngest of 4 girls and we always got the same pets together. But for some reason, my pets always lived the longest! I like to think its because I took the time to train, play and love on my pets. When my family got our first dog, Kovu, I quickly became his best friend (after my dad, of course). I trained him on how to sit, down, shake, spin and roll over. We got a second dog, Hercules, who I taught all those tricks to as well as beg! I also taught Kovu how to retrieve their dog bowls for dinner and to help carry bags of trash to the trashcan or groceries to the house. I have experience with anxious dogs from a family dog and my former roommate’s dog who was very skiddish. My Husband and I rescued two dogs, Jax and Milo. They too, know all the tricks I taught my family dogs. I also did a 6-week training program with Jax to address his behavioral issues so I have some experience training a dog with destructive behavior, the tendency to run out the door and handling a mildly reactive dog. Jax and Milo have learned to be great around our baby and love him! I’m a full time mom to a little one so as long as your pets are friendly with children, I can do drop ins, walks and dogsit as long as the dogsitting does not require me to stay overnight. If you have a fenced yard, I’ll make sure to get them plenty outside time for play. If not, I’m happy to take them for walks. I’ll make sure to clean up after them so your home stays nice and tidy while you are away.

About: It is important to me to build strong trust with clients who need a caring and reliable petsitter. As a pet owner myself I understand how hard it can be to leave your pet alone with someone, and I aim to prove that it is ok if you find the right person! About: Hi! I’m a local mom living on a mini farm in Goodlettsville with my husband, son, two dogs, and ten chickens. Animals have always been a huge part of our lives, and we spend most of our days outside exploring, playing, and staying active. My son absolutely loves animals and is a wonderful little helper. He accompanies me about 90% of the time, so if your dog or cat prefers a child-free environment or isn’t comfortable around kids, please let me know and we can discuss whether we’re a good fit. We love getting out and doing fun activities, whether that’s neighborhood walks, playing in the yard, walking to coffee, or even taking your pup on an adventure to a dog park (with your permission, of course!). If your pet prefers a slower pace, we’re equally happy to provide snuggles, backyard or indoor playtime, and companionship at home. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I’ll treat your dog or cat like one of our own—with plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and updates while you’re away. We have a sweet newborn baby so I’m home 24/7 to be with your pup giving treats and snuggles and making sure all their needs are met. We have a fenced in front yard waiting for your pup to explore! We also have two friendly dogs for your pup to play with!

About: I have always love animals and i even go to the animal shelter in my free time. I took care of 2 dogs when I was 17 and I absolutely loved it. I have always thrived on making animals feel cared for no matter what the circumstance. I am currently working with a changing schedule but not long shifts, So I have a very flexible schedule but still more than enough time for pet care! Your pet's health and happiness are my top priorities. I stick closely to feeding schedules, keep fresh water available, and ensure dogs get plenty of outdoor walks and potty breaks. Cats get clean litter boxes and active playtime. I'm also very patient with younger animals and handles any cleanups or accidents with care.

About: I've had animals of all kinds my entire life. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats of many kinds, guinea pigs, and even snakes. I've never met a pet I didn't love, and I'm known for unsocial animals warming up to me very quickly. I'm a huge animal lover and would love the opportunity to keep your fur baby company while you're away. I currently work full time in Nashville. Due to that, I have my availability turned off during the week. However, I am happy to to work together on evening visits for when I get home. I also have open availability during the weekend. My cat in my home gets the queen treatment, so I'd absolutely provide the same treatment for your fur baby. I provide all of the cuddles, pets, and play time to make for a happy pet.

The sitter sent pics from time to time. I wished to get more pics as we missed our dogs a lot during the travel.
