“Even though the babies hid the whole time she was here, I still got pictures of their food, water and litter box updates 😁. I will keep calling Anita when I need a babysitter. Maybe one day they will start to recognize her voice and smell and decide to come say hi. Thank you Anita!”

“Hope did a fantastic job caring for and entertaining Barron while I was on a work trip. In addition, she made using the Rover app to extend the visits super easy for a first time user. Anyone in her area is very lucky to have such a wonderful resource for his or her furry friends!”

“Melissa was wonderful and communicated if there was any questions or concerns that she deemed important. Dexter was well taken care of and he he seemed to have like her conpany.”

“It was so refreshing to have Brittany check in on my pups while I was out and about for an entire day! To begin with, she was able to check in on my pups with just a few hours of notice (highly appreciated!). She also sent me several pictures of my dogs and updated me on her time spent with my pups! In all of the pictures she sent, my dogs looked so happy and content! I will definitely be more than happy to use Brittany again in the future! Thanks so much!”

About: I am the youngest of 4 girls and we always got the same pets together. But for some reason, my pets always lived the longest! I like to think its because I took the time to train, play and love on my pets. When my family got our first dog, Kovu, I quickly became his best friend (after my dad, of course). I trained him on how to sit, down, shake, spin and roll over. We got a second dog, Hercules, who I taught all those tricks to as well as beg! I also taught Kovu how to retrieve their dog bowls for dinner and to help carry bags of trash to the trashcan or groceries to the house. I have experience with anxious dogs from a family dog and my former roommate’s dog who was very skiddish. My Husband and I rescued two dogs, Jax and Milo. They too, know all the tricks I taught my family dogs. I also did a 6-week training program with Jax to address his behavioral issues so I have some experience training a dog with destructive behavior, the tendency to run out the door and handling a mildly reactive dog. Jax and Milo have learned to be great around our baby and love him! I’m a full time mom to a little one so as long as your pets are friendly with children, I can do drop ins, walks and dogsit as long as the dogsitting does not require me to stay overnight. If you have a fenced yard, I’ll make sure to get them plenty outside time for play. If not, I’m happy to take them for walks throughout the day. I’ll make sure to clean up after them so your home stays nice and tidy while you are away. I can give them a bath if needed and time for tricks and treats if you allow!

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life! I graduated Austin Peay with a Bachelor’s in Agriculture and concentrated in Veterinary Technology. While I was in school, I worked at a boarding facility and daycare. I worked in an animal hospital for over 3 years until I had my son in November. I stay home with my son now as a full time mom. My veterinary experience allows me to administer medication, provide extraordinary care, and give lots of love! I currently am a stay at home mom to my son who was born in November! Our days are open and willing to help out families with their fur babies! I have 4 dogs of my own- 2 senior small girls, a senior lab (though she doesn’t act like it), and a middle aged silly boy! They are all friendly and welcoming to any animal in our home. I do have an unfenced yard but do have runners and will leash walk all animals in my yard. I am able to crate any animal if necessary.
About: I have cared for pets since I was double digits. I have had hamsters, fish, cats, and dogs. Dogs are my favorite, though. It doesn't matter what breed; they are all unique in their own way and beautiful as well. I have personally owned a Rotti (Rocco), Husky mix (Mercedes), English Bulldog (Diesel), Frenchies (Kingston & Khloe), and now a pocket bully (Oakley) and English Bulldog (Lola). Since our kids are grown, these are our fur babies. We always say that this is their home, and they just let us live with them. I am able and comfortable with injuries, wounds, bathing, and cutting nails if needed. We are currently going through the puppy stage with Lola, so we have a lot of patience as well. We would love for you to choose us to stay with because we love meeting new friends, no matter their age or breed. I work from home 3 days a week, so I am here most of the time to care for pets. Dogs are like kids; once you have more of them, they are easier to care for because they move in a pack for the most part. I have two extremely friendly and loving dogs here. We have a fenced-in yard in the back. We live in a quiet subdivision out in the country with sidewalks and other friendly dogs. Our home is dog-proofed in the sense that we have a dog gate, multiple dog beds throughout the house downstairs, and two bins of dog toys. We also keep plenty of treats for training and snacks.
“Laura and her daughter were amazing with my kitties! I could not recommend them enough. Thank you so much for loving on them and being thorough in the time card!! ❤️”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cross Plains
Rachel did a fantastic job with our two dogs! Her drop-in visits were the perfect way to break up their day, and she went above and beyond by playing with them, making sure they had fresh water and treats, and even working on some training. Knowing the dogs were genuinely enjoying her visits gave us total peace of mind and made being away on our trip so much easier. We felt completely comfortable knowing they were in such great hands. We will definitely use Rachel again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
