“Danielle did amazing! She was super sweet and asked lots of questions at the meet and greet with pups prior to the booking. She took great care of our dogs and posted pictures every time she visited them. Would highly recommend!”

“Kyla has been with us for about a year now and our babbies just love her. They get all kinds of love and cuddles. They get so much extra attention and are so happy when we get he which means that they are happy and had a great time. The pictures proved it also.Im so sure you will love Kayla! Ginger and Coco says so💝”

“Kayla is great. We had a last minute change in our schedule and she was able to pop in to play with the puppies taking a lot of stress off us for the day. She is so good with our babies!!”

“We have a pretty challenging dog and she was so great with him. She came over for a meet and greet before hand and that was so nice. He was nervous at first and not his friendliest self and she was able to win him over quickly and become his bestie for the week. Couldn’t be happier with her!!!”

“Denver is a responsible pet caregiver. He was prompt every morning and evening. He kept me up to date on Maizey’s visits. If he is not sure of something he is not afraid to message you for clarification. He took good care of my furbaby and I would definitely use him again.”

“Amber looked after our critters while we were gone for the week and took great care of them. She was very attentive when our cat got an upset stomach while we were away and cuddled with our little dog who was anxious during a storm. She was great about keeping us updated every time she checked on them. Highly recommend Amber to watch after your pets!”

“Doug was great; he went above and beyond what was expected. There is some sibling rivalry between my two cats and he made sure both of them had a chance to eat by sticking around and feeding them in separate rooms if need be. He also kept an eye on the house, and kept me informed of any suspicious activity in the neighborhood, made sure our windows were locked, took out the trash, etc. He was very communicative and responsive. This definitely made me feel more at ease during our trip. When the Microsoft crash shut all the airlines down, he reached out to see if our flight was affected and said he could keep feeding the cats if needed. I would highly recommend Doug for other pet owners, and would definitely use his services again in the future.”

About: Me and Dogs go way back, I’ve had a dog all my life, my dad thought that was important and so do I. It’s important to have something to nurture through life, so you become compassionate, caring, supportive. My favorite dog growing up was Lady, she was a mut/mix border collie, all black with a white patch under her neck. She was a really good dog! currently, we have a 12-year-old red tick blue tick beagle named Jules, a seven-year-old husky named Shelby, and a three-year-old basset hound named Huckleberry Finn. We have had many other pets throughout the years as well, including cats, ferrets, and fish. Our family loves animals one day we might have a zoo. I work full-time, but from home four days a week. I can take mini breaks throughout the day to care for your baby. My children are grown and don’t require my attention as much anymore, and I need something on the side to keep me busy, and the extra money is a bonus. I can make whatever accommodations you need as long as I know them in advance. I do have three very friendly dogs, but if you prefer, I can separate them, or we could try it out and see how it goes. I have crates for all of my dogs. I have a half a half acre fenced in backyard, also OK with dogs coming in my home, vinyl flooring.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cross Plains
Rachel did a fantastic job with our two dogs! Her drop-in visits were the perfect way to break up their day, and she went above and beyond by playing with them, making sure they had fresh water and treats, and even working on some training. Knowing the dogs were genuinely enjoying her visits gave us total peace of mind and made being away on our trip so much easier. We felt completely comfortable knowing they were in such great hands. We will definitely use Rachel again in the future!

Rachel took such great care of our three fur babies - kitty cats Lily, Tempo, and Bobcat (2 girls and a boy). She gave us priceless peace of mind while we were away for 5 nights. She took care of food, litter, little details like opening and closing curtains and had time to play with each of them. Thank you, Rachel! We cannot thank you enough! - Christine and Tom

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
