“Georgette helped us out during a true emergency when we needed someone to care for my in-laws’ cats. I can’t describe how much of a lifesaver she was. Georgette was kind, accommodating, and extremely professional, not to mention highly experienced with animals as a vet tech. It’s clear that she truly cared about the cats and took excellent care of them during an extended period. It was such a comfort to know that they were being so well looked after while dealing with our family emergency. I wish I could give her 10 stars!!”
About: I currently have a mini bernadoodle named Piper. She is two years old and I have had her since she was 10 weeks old. What sets me apart is that I love her as much as my children and she has a piece of my heart. I make sure she is safe and happy every single day. I currently working fulltime but I am able to pet care weekdays, weekend mornings and evenings. I am flexible so if there is a day of the week and time you prefer feel free to ask and if I can make it work, I will be there. I am in the process of moving, so I can not have pets in my home after June 2026 but at someone else's home, your pet is my priority. I will make sure they are fed, exercised and loved.
“I had such a great experience! They came by to take care of my boy Toby—gave him a potty break, fed him dinner, and spent some quality time with him—and I couldn’t have felt more at ease. From the moment I met them, I could tell they were kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely great with dogs. Toby absolutely loved them right away, which says a lot. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. They were reliable, communicative, and clearly knew what they were doing. I would 100% book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and caring sitters!”

About: Many years of pets experience having my own pets and also pet sitting for family/ friends. I have 4 cats of my own who are my absolute world. One being a blind senior who does need guidance and a little extra lovins. I love your pets as much as my own! Currently I have open availability. My days are free and I’m willing to tend to pet needs in a pinch. Life happens and I’m happy to be available. I have 4 cats of my own who need care. They have litter boxes which are cleaned regularly. My home is zen and calm just the way we like it here!

“Pam did a great job with our Maggie! She was very happy and content when we got back home. She also sent a couple pictures while she was taking care of her. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lovers with a deep passion of caring for pets of all kinds. Growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, and plenty of other furry (and not-so-furry) friends taught me how much love and care they deserve. My top priority is always making sure your pets are happy, healthy, and feeling loved. From feeding routines and walks to cuddle time (or just calm company for the more independent types), I make sure each pet feels comfortable and cared for according to their unique personality. I love keeping pets engaged with fun, stimulating activities. For cats, that might mean interactive toys, puzzle feeders, or laser play. For dogs, it’s usually games of fetch, tug-of-war, or a good old-fashioned frisbee toss. Even reptiles get the same thoughtful attention (maybe less cuddling, but plenty of care and respect!). Every pet deserves the best care possible, and that’s what I promise to provide. Whether you’re going away for a day or a week, I will treat your furry family member as if they were our own. I’d love to meet your pets and help you feel at ease while you’re away!
About: I've taken care of dogs since high school, had my own 3 dogs at once from puppyhood through senior. I have volunteered at an animal shelter for 10 years and can handle small to large dogs. I'm highly reliable, kind and friendly to all animals and will walk your dog with care. I want you to feel good knowing your dog is taken care of. I work a full time job and volunteer on the weekends, but am available to drop in for potty breaks or feedings in the early evenings during the week. I do not have a yard, however, I can certainly drop in your home to feed, walk, clean up and hang out and spend time with them.
About: I have a dog of my own, I’ve been taking care of him for 2 years and making sure to walk him everyday. I am a trusted dog walker I work from home and whenever I have time I love walking my dog out and neighbors dogs for an hour or two. Love dogs I do not have a fenced in yard but I have a leash I take them out with when they need to go to the bathroom
“After deciding that a kennel would not work out for our dog, Lady, we saw Stacey’s info on Rover.com We had a nice meet and greet and as soon as our Lady walked over to her and connected, our decision was made. Besides the Rover updates, she stayed in touch personally. She gave us peace of mind.”

“Christina was the absolute best! She was able to come watch our boys on short notice while we were away for our wedding. She is very communicative, friendly, and deeply cares for your pets. We will definitely be recommending her & rebooking in the future. Thank you so so much!! 🩷”

“Bridget has become my go-to cat sitter. I have hired her several times to care for our 2 cats. She replies to requests super fast and communicates during each care visit. Very reliably and trustworthy.”

“This is our 2nd time using Jonathan. We had a vet emergency 1 hr before our flight, and he came to the vet office, picked up meds, and administered them while we were away. Incredibly kind and responsible person!”

“We used Lenny to take care of DJ over the Fourth of July, and we truly could not have asked for better care. During a thunderstorm, the power went out, and Lenny went above and beyond by bringing DJ a fan and a lantern so he wouldn’t be hot or left in the dark. Lenny was also looking out for us in every way possible. Our Jeep was parked under a tree that looked like it might fall during the storm, and she immediately called us to ask if we wanted her to move it to a safer spot. Knowing that someone cared for both DJ and our home as if they were her own gave us complete peace of mind. Lenny is reliable, thoughtful, and incredibly compassionate. DJ loves her, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will go the extra mile for their pets.”

“Danielle was great! She came each morning to feed our cat and give him fresh water. She also scooped his litter and sent a picture each day. Danielle also let us know it was chilly in the house and we needed to raise the heat. We are so grateful that Tuck received such great care. Highly recommend Danielle!”

“Took care of my kitty like her own. Even brought her a scratching pad. The pictures that were taken were beautiful and made me feel good while on vacation knowing my kitty was in good hands. A++”

“Lisa Marie was excellent with our two high-energy dogs! She was prompt and a great communicator. She sent lots of pictures of our pups so we could see they were having a great time and gave thorough reports on how the drop-in visits went. Some of the pics she sent were actually frame-worthy!! Thank you for taking such great care of Linkin and Hudson!”

Alexandra was great! My girl is anxious around new people, but she's a needy velcro kitty, so I try to arrange an hour for visits to give her cuddles and llay time. Alexandra stayed and took the time to help put my girl at ease and gave her lots of cuddles. I will definitely be booking with her again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Helmetta. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
