About: I currently have a mini bernadoodle named Piper. She is two years old and I have had her since she was 10 weeks old. What sets me apart is that I love her as much as my children and she has a piece of my heart. I make sure she is safe and happy every single day. I currently working fulltime but I am able to pet care weekdays, weekend mornings and evenings. I am flexible so if there is a day of the week and time you prefer feel free to ask and if I can make it work, I will be there. I am in the process of moving, so I can not have pets in my home after June 2026 but at someone else's home, your pet is my priority. I will make sure they are fed, exercised and loved.
“Elizabeth was great with my cat, Lawrence! I was flexible with the timing of her drop-in visits, and she was very communicative with exactly when she would be here. She sent lots of photos and spent plenty of time with Lawrence. I would definitely hire Elizabeth again!”

“Pam did a great job of taking care of our dog Willow. She kept in touch with us and we were totally able to relax and enjoy our visit with family knowing Willow was in good hands.”

“Took care of my kitty like her own. Even brought her a scratching pad. The pictures that were taken were beautiful and made me feel good while on vacation knowing my kitty was in good hands. A++”

“Jenna was amazing with our puppy! She was on time and immediately bonded with her. My daughter was worried about leaving the puppy with someone new, but felt so much better after meeting and talking to Jenna! Strongly recommend!”

“Brittany was very communicative and loving toward my Soleil when we needed her for a last minute booking. She was prompt, shared many photos and notated my kitty’s demeanor every visit. Would definitely book again.”

“Bridget was great and super flexible. She made time to accept a last minute booking with us and take care of charlie. She even found the way to complete her visits when she had car issues.”

About: I've taken care of dogs since high school, had my own 3 dogs at once from puppyhood through senior. I have volunteered at an animal shelter for 10 years and can handle small to large dogs. I'm highly reliable, kind and friendly to all animals and will walk your dog with care. I want you to feel good knowing your dog is taken care of. I work a full time job and volunteer on the weekends, but am available to drop in for potty breaks or feedings in the early evenings during the week. I do not have a yard, however, I can certainly drop in your home to feed, walk, clean up and hang out and spend time with them.
“We used Lenny to take care of DJ over the Fourth of July, and we truly could not have asked for better care. During a thunderstorm, the power went out, and Lenny went above and beyond by bringing DJ a fan and a lantern so he wouldn’t be hot or left in the dark. Lenny was also looking out for us in every way possible. Our Jeep was parked under a tree that looked like it might fall during the storm, and she immediately called us to ask if we wanted her to move it to a safer spot. Knowing that someone cared for both DJ and our home as if they were her own gave us complete peace of mind. Lenny is reliable, thoughtful, and incredibly compassionate. DJ loves her, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will go the extra mile for their pets.”

“Our second time using Sharyn to watch our kitties - this time she kitten-sat as opposed to watching our very old men. Sharyn kept us in the loop about their various shenanigans and took very good care of them. We will definitely rebook!”

“Nina took great care of Lyra, who felt super comfortable with her right away. Nina took great photos every visit and was so communicative and caring, I will definitely be booking again!!”

“It was our first time having Abigail do a drop in. She was wonderful with our dog, walked him and fed him. Abigail is super responsive, punctual, responsible, and affectionate with Hudson. We will definitely be asking her to come look after Hudson again!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of every kind for over 20 years, starting as a teenager. Over the years, friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their dogs while they were away. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. I’m currently in between jobs so I have plenty of time to walk or drop in on your pet! I am excited for the opportunity to meet your pets. My dog Ava is 15 and we take very good care of her. Free roaming in the yard, walks, and a lot of belly rubs.
“Danielle did a great job! She sent photos at every visit and kept me informed on what was going on every drop in. I would definitely recommend her if you needed someone to watch your pups. We definitely will be using her again .”

“Yasmine took care of our three cats while we were away. All the daily cat care routines were done well. What’s very heartening- out of all different pet sitters we had, Yasmine manages to take the best pictures! This really helps as we miss our cats when we are away.”

“Janine was absolutely professional and efficient during her 8 days of care of my cat. She fed, played, and cleaned up after Graceson. I would recommend Janine in a heartbeat and will look to rebook if I need any future drop-ins!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Jamesburg
Alexandra was great! My girl is anxious around new people, but she's a needy velcro kitty, so I try to arrange an hour for visits to give her cuddles and llay time. Alexandra stayed and took the time to help put my girl at ease and gave her lots of cuddles. I will definitely be booking with her again.

Mutsuko was a wonderful cat sitter! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. She was kind, attentive, and thoughtful. She meticulously looked after our cat Cheddar’s needs (fresh food, water, litter, etc.) and health. And also considered his emotional well being, playing with him, mixing in various toys and leaving some out in fun places so he could play when she was gone. She gave us wonderful reports which we looked forward to each day. We missed him, but could really enjoy our vacation knowing he was in the best hands. Cheddar really bonded with her, which is just as important as us being happy with her! Her husband Toru is also terrific and his love of cats is evident! We will definitely be using them again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jamesburg. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
