“Darya provided daycare for Watson for a week. Watson, who can sometimes have separation anxiety, was excited to see Darya every morning. Their dog Coco is a very nice dog and I was happy Watson would have a friend.”

“Debi and her husband were really great with Aria! We felt comfortable that our puppy was in good hands! I will definitely recommend her! I feel bad that Debi is too far away for me to use her services regularly! I really wish she lived closer! If I get an opportunity I will use her services again!”

We will get much exercise and fresh air to make everyone happy Housing complex with a park right behind my apartment. We will have fun walking the park. We will roam to the dog's content. “Kate was fantastic. She very quickly answered my request and fit me in with just two hours notice. She was so loving with my dog, and she took pictures many times. And her two young children were simply wonderful, also. I could tell at the time, in the pictures, how happy they were making Frances. I will definitely ask her to work with Frances next time I come up.”

“Sara takes really good care of Winnie. I know this from the way Winnie runs up the driveway to meet her every morning. He is usually nervous around other dogs but Sara dealt with that like a pro. Now he has dog friends at Sara’s that he enjoys being with.”

“Very happy with how Pam took care of our little Puppy. It was his first time away from home and he had a great time. Pam really took good care of him and kept sharing regular updates about him with pics and videos which assured us of his well being. Thank you!”

“Myah had a great time at Jamie's playing with Ollie! This was her first time and she was excited to be going when we pulled in the driveway. She came home very happy and tired!”

“Joanna is great. She asked the right questions and was very responsive whenever I asked her one. She kept sending pictures and videos during the stay. Our dog, Luna, liked her and went back to her even after I was there to pick her up. It gives you such a peace of mind when you know someone as caring is watching your pet. We plan to use her again.”

“Barbara is great! I have an 8 week old Labrador retriever, full of puppy energy and I was very carefully vetting someone I felt could handle him with authentic love and care but who also understands dogs in all stages of their lives. After reading about Barbara and her experience and love for animals my gut told me she was the right choice. I was right! She was accommodating, punctual, friendly, kept me updated throughout the day & took pictures which made me feel at ease knowing he was thriving in her care. She has a beautiful yard which is a huge plus cause I know my boy got some good fun & exercise. Will definitely rebook :)!”
About: ⚠If you're new to Rover use my Promo code "XAVIEM67281" to get a 💲20 discount off the first service you use with me. ⚠ I have been taking care of pets for as long as I can remember. Not a day goes by that I'm not taking care of the family pets or someone else's. I have walked, checked on, and baby sat dogs of all different shapes and sizes. I use to take care of my neighbors dogs, when she wasn't available. Took dogs to the vet when they had no one else to do it. And I have been a dog walker for about 5 years now. I have walked small dogs such as miniature poodles to bigger dogs such as pitbulls. Your furry friend will be in good hands. I'm currently working part time on Mondays through Fridays, but I have a flexible schedule. I'll feed and take the dog out in the mornings, and after work. During the weekend they'll have my fully undevivded attention through out the whole day I have a fenced in yard with several friendly dogs who will happily play with visitors. I also have some cats but they keep to themselves, lounging around in a separate room from the dogs. Your pets will mostly be under my watchful eye, for I will be home, most of the day watching them. “Thana and Subangi took wonderful care of my dog and sent lots of pictures, which made me feel completely at ease and showed how happy and comfortable my pup was. It was also clear that the other dogs in their care were friendly and well looked after. I have already happily booked again.”

“Suna provided outstanding and loving care to Buddy while he was with her. Buddy enjoyed going to her home every day and playing with her sweet Maltese, Mimi. The two dogs became forever friends! Suna communicated with us daily, providing text and photo updates, clearly indicating that Buddy was well taken care of during his time with her. I highly recommend Suna if you're looking for someone who will go the extra mile to insure that your beloved pet is safe and happy, whether for overnight stays or daytime care.”

“Whitney & Michael were fantastic even with changes to the booking and unforeseen circumstances with my work day. They were extremely accommodating, communicated well and were thoughtful/understanding. They sent photos of Isla and she had a great stay. I will book with them in the near future!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Jamesburg commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
