About: I have taken care of pets since the age of ten and worked in the pet care industry. Pet Care specialty skills prepared me to follow direction and instructions when handling and caring for others beloved pets Daily I take care of my own pets , and have worked with pets for at least ten years, I feel as though I am a natural when I am interacting with animals in general. In addition to understanding the connection between the pet and the pet parent. Daily feedings and walks love cuddles and observations making sure my pets and your pets are receiving the care and attention they need to survive and prosper.
About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 20 years and have experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, frogs, anoles/geckos and fish. I grew up with pets and got my first dog at 18, which really shaped my love and understanding of animal care. Since then, I have raised multiple cats (including rescues and bonded pairs) and a Black Lab, all in a busy, loving, kid-friendly and family oriented home. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering medications, and caring for pets at all life stages—from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who need extra attention. My pets have always been part of the family, so I know how important it is to provide not just basic care, but comfort, patience, and a safe environment. I’m reliable, attentive, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, and overnight care, and I’m happy to tailor my services to fit each pet’s unique needs and routine. I work full-time as an educator, so I’m available before and after school hours during the week, as well as on weekends. My schedule is very consistent, and I’m home in the afternoons, evenings, and nights for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care. During the summer, I have much more flexibility and availability throughout the day, which allows me to provide even more hands-on attention and care. Your pet’s safety and comfort means everything to me. I care for pets in their own home where they feel most relaxed and secure, and I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I offer drop-in visits, walks, and overnight care, and I always take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, habits, and little quirks so they feel comfortable with me. I’m very attentive, patient, and experienced with feeding routines, administering medication, and caring for both young and senior pets. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone new, so I treat every home with respect and every pet like they’re part of my own family—I’ll always keep you updated so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
“Lisa Marie was excellent with our two high-energy dogs! She was prompt and a great communicator. She sent lots of pictures of our pups so we could see they were having a great time and gave thorough reports on how the drop-in visits went. Some of the pics she sent were actually frame-worthy!! Thank you for taking such great care of Linkin and Hudson!”

“Danielle was great! She came each morning to feed our cat and give him fresh water. She also scooped his litter and sent a picture each day. Danielle also let us know it was chilly in the house and we needed to raise the heat. We are so grateful that Tuck received such great care. Highly recommend Danielle!”

“Bridget was great and super flexible. She made time to accept a last minute booking with us and take care of charlie. She even found the way to complete her visits when she had car issues.”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lovers with a deep passion of caring for pets of all kinds. Growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, and plenty of other furry (and not-so-furry) friends taught me how much love and care they deserve. My top priority is always making sure your pets are happy, healthy, and feeling loved. From feeding routines and walks to cuddle time (or just calm company for the more independent types), I make sure each pet feels comfortable and cared for according to their unique personality. I love keeping pets engaged with fun, stimulating activities. For cats, that might mean interactive toys, puzzle feeders, or laser play. For dogs, it’s usually games of fetch, tug-of-war, or a good old-fashioned frisbee toss. Even reptiles get the same thoughtful attention (maybe less cuddling, but plenty of care and respect!). Every pet deserves the best care possible, and that’s what I promise to provide. Whether you’re going away for a day or a week, I will treat your furry family member as if they were our own. I’d love to meet your pets and help you feel at ease while you’re away!
About: I've taken care of dogs since high school, had my own 3 dogs at once from puppyhood through senior. I have volunteered at an animal shelter for 10 years and can handle small to large dogs. I'm highly reliable, kind and friendly to all animals and will walk your dog with care. I want you to feel good knowing your dog is taken care of. I work a full time job and volunteer on the weekends, but am available to drop in for potty breaks or feedings in the early evenings during the week. I do not have a yard, however, I can certainly drop in your home to feed, walk, clean up and hang out and spend time with them.
“Jenna was amazing with our puppy! She was on time and immediately bonded with her. My daughter was worried about leaving the puppy with someone new, but felt so much better after meeting and talking to Jenna! Strongly recommend!”

About: I love dogs and have always grown up with them. My first dog was a St. Bernard/Lab mix and I currently have two spoiled Havanese pups that are brothers. I am reliable, believe in clear communication and provide frequent updates to ensure that owners are comfortable knowing their pets are safe and happy while they’re away! I’m in school part-time and work per diem so I’m pretty flexible with my time. Let me know what works for you and your pet(s) and I’m sure we can figure something out! I treat every dog that I look after as if they were my own. I’ll make sure to build trust and give them all the extra love, cuddles, and attention while you’re away!
“Michael has been absolutely wonderful with our doggo! He has such a care and attention to her needs, and even helped out when she got into trouble and got into our pantry lol. We have a reactive dog, and he's been great with taking her for walks and managing her energy and needs safely. We can tell that she is very comfortable with him, and would recommend Micheal to anyone with a furry friend! :)”

“Sara is just the best. This was our first time using rover with our puppy and we were completely at ease knowing Sara was providing the best care for our pup. She gave updates and sent pictures, which we loved. We also do a lot of obedience training with our pup and Sara has experience with prong collars which was a huge plus for us!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Spotswood. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
