About: Living in New Brunswick with some friends. I have cats but I'm not allowed dogs in our house. Growing up with dogs it's hard to be away from them. Taking care of someone else's pets would be a pleasure and would brighten my day. I walk to work everyday and live outside Rutgers campuses and near some beautiful parks, giving me tons of places to bring your dogs and the stamina to keep up with them on long walks. My oldest dog back home is a big pitbull, so big dogs are right up my alley, and both my dogs can get quite rowdy so I know how to handle animals when they get out of control. I'm currentky working at later in the day and at night so I'm available during the day. I ride my bike or walk to appointments so I'm looking for clients in New Brunswick and Highland Park. I enjoy going on quiet walks in places without too much hustle and bustle. If your pet gets overwhelmed in rowdy environments, you can count on me to give the a calm yet playful day.
“As always, Cristina is amazing. She’s flexible, communicative, and has a sharp eye for the exact type of small thing you’d want a pet sitter to notice, like things laying around the cats could get into or something abnormal about their appearance or actions. She always does everything that’s needed to be done. We’ve been using her for over a year now and love her!”

“I had such a great experience! They came by to take care of my boy Toby—gave him a potty break, fed him dinner, and spent some quality time with him—and I couldn’t have felt more at ease. From the moment I met them, I could tell they were kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely great with dogs. Toby absolutely loved them right away, which says a lot. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. They were reliable, communicative, and clearly knew what they were doing. I would 100% book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and caring sitters!”

“Eleanor went completely above and beyond to take care of my cats! One of my cats is a too smart for his own good, and he ended up getting into a specific cabinet for the first time and eating a whole bag of treats. Eleanor found a way to keep him out of that cabinet, and she also spent extra time with him to make sure he wasn't having any digestive problems. She's also super knowledgeable about cats and was so communicative with me the whole time I was gone!”

“Michael has been absolutely wonderful with our doggo! He has such a care and attention to her needs, and even helped out when she got into trouble and got into our pantry lol. We have a reactive dog, and he's been great with taking her for walks and managing her energy and needs safely. We can tell that she is very comfortable with him, and would recommend Micheal to anyone with a furry friend! :)”

“Mike was communicative, adherent to our schedule, and followed all instructions requested of him. He also sent a ton of pictures, which I really appreciated. It was refreshing to just be able to enjoy my trip knowing that my dog was taken care of. I would absolutely recommend him to others (just not during the times I’m away 😉)”

“Rebecca was a great sitter! She was super prompt with photos and check-ins and even offered to help out with the kitties’ making a little mess while i was out of town! I really appreciated that she was able to fit me in last minute and was so thorough despite that.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was a teenager, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. In addition to meeting their daily needs, I also provide plenty of attention, companionship, and affection so pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. Whether it’s keeping an energetic dog active with walks and playtime or giving a cat quiet companionship and care, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I also make sure owners feel reassured by providing updates, photos, and clear communication throughout the stay.
“Lizbeth was great with my boy while I was gone! She was super accommodating with both of our schedules and I was able to book with her within short notice as well. She gave updates and was very responsive if I had any questions or other requests! Milo had a buddy for the weekend while I was gone, and I’d definitely book with her again! Thanks Lizbeth 😽🐾”

“Stacey is fantastic with cats and I was comfortable from the start leaving my cats in her expert care. She is experienced with medication which was so important for my one cat who has started taking several medications. She sent daily photos and let me know how they were doing during each visit.”
“Laura is great! She is reliable, trustworthy and responsive. Most importantly, she got my shy kitten to come out from under his hiding spot! I will be using her services again in the future for sure!”

“Tessa did an awesome job of keeping us informed while we were away during our trip and sending us lots if photos. Our pets seemed happy and loved on. House was in order when we returned and she went above and beyond doing somethings we didn't expect her to take care of such as taking out trash and scooping litter since it was a short trip.”

“Jennifer was fantastic! Ziggy the cat is not sociable but Jennifer took the time to speak with him and keep him company. She also sent pictures and gave me updates. Very happy with Jennifer and hope to use her again.”

“Gary was excellent! Professional, showed up for our meet & greet, immediately bonded with our dog. Showed him the best care, managing his medication for an infection, and gave him lots of attention while we were away for the day!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Milltown
This was our first time working with Maya, and she was fantastic! She was so attentive to our cats and kept us updated throughout the whole trip, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time away. Great communication from start to finish! you can tell she really cares. We’ll definitely be booking her again!

Eleanor is amazing with my cats and they both really respond to her, even my shy cat! She's also very communicative and responsive and is comfortable getting detailed instructions (both of my cats require special medicine / feeding instructions). This isn't my first time booking her for cat care and I would definitely book her again!

Gary took such great care of my animals. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs so there’s a lot to do and remember. He took the time to get to know all of them and their routines. It makes going away much easier knowing they are being taken care of so well. I will definitely use Gary again and highly recommend him for anyone looking for pet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
