“Pam has been absolutely wonderful with our pugs, Walter and Arthur! The communication was prompt and friendly, with fun updates and cute photos that brightens our day. It's such a relief knowing our boys are in good hands. Highly recommend Pam to any pet parent looking for reliable, loving care!”

About: Living in New Brunswick with some friends. I have cats but I'm not allowed dogs in our house. Growing up with dogs it's hard to be away from them. Taking care of someone else's pets would be a pleasure and would brighten my day. I walk to work everyday and live outside Rutgers campuses and near some beautiful parks, giving me tons of places to bring your dogs and the stamina to keep up with them on long walks. My oldest dog back home is a big pitbull, so big dogs are right up my alley, and both my dogs can get quite rowdy so I know how to handle animals when they get out of control. I'm currentky working at later in the day and at night so I'm available during the day. I ride my bike or walk to appointments so I'm looking for clients in New Brunswick and Highland Park. I enjoy going on quiet walks in places without too much hustle and bustle. If your pet gets overwhelmed in rowdy environments, you can count on me to give the a calm yet playful day.
“As always, Cristina is amazing. She’s flexible, communicative, and has a sharp eye for the exact type of small thing you’d want a pet sitter to notice, like things laying around the cats could get into or something abnormal about their appearance or actions. She always does everything that’s needed to be done. We’ve been using her for over a year now and love her!”

“I had such a great experience! They came by to take care of my boy Toby—gave him a potty break, fed him dinner, and spent some quality time with him—and I couldn’t have felt more at ease. From the moment I met them, I could tell they were kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely great with dogs. Toby absolutely loved them right away, which says a lot. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. They were reliable, communicative, and clearly knew what they were doing. I would 100% book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and caring sitters!”

“Eleanor is amazing with my cats and they both really respond to her, even my shy cat! She's also very communicative and responsive and is comfortable getting detailed instructions (both of my cats require special medicine / feeding instructions). This isn't my first time booking her for cat care and I would definitely book her again!”

“Rafaela was amazing from start to finish! She kept great communication, sent me pictures for peace of mind, and followed all the instructions perfectly. I truly appreciated her care and would happily book her again.”

“Michael was an amazing cat sitter to our 3 indoor boys and took care of our 1 feral lady outside! He was there everyday we were gone at the boys “dinner time” without fail! I received adorable photos of the belly rubs and even my shy guy came out for treats! That’s a testament to the animal person Michael is! When we returned home from our vacation the house was exactly how we left it and the boys had plenty of food and water. Their boxes were clean and the area was tidy. We will absolutely be using Michael’s services again!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was a teenager, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. Whether it’s going on walks, playtime, feeding, giving medication, or simply providing companionship and affection, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet who is a part of your family. I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is always to make pets feel happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I am currently a law student and will also be completing a summer internship. With a flexible schedule and the ability to work from home two days a week, I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, feedings, playtime, and companionship. I understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, so I always take the time to build trust and make them feel safe, calm, and cared for. In addition to meeting their daily needs, I also provide plenty of attention, companionship, and affection so pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I also make sure owners feel reassured by providing updates, photos, and clear communication throughout the stay.
About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 7 years old. I grew up with a German Shepherd named Eva, the love of my life. While a sophomore in high school, I began working at a dog daycare called Pups@Play Montclair. That job gave me invaluable knowledge of dog behavior and relationship dynamics. I learned the intricacies of their behavior, body language, personality, whether they were high energy or low energy, active or reactive, etc. I used that to diffuse many doggy disputes. I worked with and managed 50+ dogs everyday. Daschunds, puppies, mutts, great danes, shepherds, samoyeds, bulldogs, pitbulls, hairless, everything. I can handle any dog I meet. You can trust me to handle your dog with care, happiness, love, understanding, and patience. I am fit and ready to play! Dogs hold such a special place in my heart and I can't wait to meet yours! I am a student at Rutgers New Brunswick and my schedule currently has me free after 5pm on weekdays and any time after 9am on weekends. I can potentially be available if there is a special circumstance but that is by no means a guarantee. I do not currently offer boarding services. If I were to offer boarding, your dog would be comfortable, happy, hydrated, and well-fed. Have a great day, talk to you soon!
“Lizbeth was great with my boy while I was gone! She was super accommodating with both of our schedules and I was able to book with her within short notice as well. She gave updates and was very responsive if I had any questions or other requests! Milo had a buddy for the weekend while I was gone, and I’d definitely book with her again! Thanks Lizbeth 😽🐾”

This was our first time working with Maya, and she was fantastic! She was so attentive to our cats and kept us updated throughout the whole trip, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time away. Great communication from start to finish! you can tell she really cares. We’ll definitely be booking her again!

This is our second time doing a pretty extensive request with Yan, multiple stops a day for various days, and just like last time I really enjoyed having Yan as our sitter! Jack has warmed up to her, she has good communication, and I look forward to the next time she can dog sit for us!

Eleanor is amazing with my cats and they both really respond to her, even my shy cat! She's also very communicative and responsive and is comfortable getting detailed instructions (both of my cats require special medicine / feeding instructions). This isn't my first time booking her for cat care and I would definitely book her again!

Gary took such great care of my animals. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs so there’s a lot to do and remember. He took the time to get to know all of them and their routines. It makes going away much easier knowing they are being taken care of so well. I will definitely use Gary again and highly recommend him for anyone looking for pet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
