“Cristina is amazing! She’s got great availability and is so awesome with our kitties. She always makes sure to play with them and noticed when things are off, like a possible medical issue or piece of trash they might chew on. I highly recommend her - I always know my cats are in good hands!”

“Pam did a great job with our Maggie! She was very happy and content when we got back home. She also sent a couple pictures while she was taking care of her. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

I’ve taken care of all age range’s from puppies/kittens to seniors cats/dog. I currently work full-time, but I have time on Friday and Saturday to play with pets! I can board pets Thursday-Sunday! I am very consistent with routine and stay to a strict schedule I have a apartment that is very cat friendly. I have my own cat who is friendly with other pets and she can keep your fur baby company!
About: I understand that every animal has its own personality, routine, and needs, so I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply keeping their routine consistent, I treat every pet with the same patience and kindness I would want for my own two fur babies. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is in caring and dependable hands. Pictures and updates will be provided, so you can have consistent peace of mind. Im currently at home due to it being summer break so I have a lot of free time for the time being. I am very flexible when it comes to time and last minute bookings for the next two months. I have two handsome boys of my own Teddy(12) and Vader (4). I do not have a fenced in yard so they love going out on simple walks, big hikes, lakes, the beach and going to the park. With previous clients I would bring their pups with us as well or just keep them in their own neighborhood and in their routines to make sure they’re always happy and comfortable, It’s definitely all up to the parents.
“Adriane was very responsive and came to meet Tater. They got along well and she was very receptive to his routine and making sure he’s in good shape when watching him.”

“Eleanor is amazing with my cats and they both really respond to her, even my shy cat! She's also very communicative and responsive and is comfortable getting detailed instructions (both of my cats require special medicine / feeding instructions). This isn't my first time booking her for cat care and I would definitely book her again!”

“A great introduction to my new sweet kitty! Rebecca found ways to keep her busy and sent beautiful pics too! As a first time user of Robert services, I couldn’t be happier!”

“Excellent pet sitter! They visited my home three times a day for 9 days and took great care of my dog. They were reliable, caring, and kept me updated throughout my trip. I had complete peace of mind and would definitely book with them again. Highly recommend!”

“Hiral made daily/frequent various in visits to our chihuahua mix (Rue) for 3 and a half months. If I could giver her 10 stars, I absolutely would! Hiral is incredibly punctual, professional, communicative, and flexible. Rue was 5 months old when Hiral first started and is now almost 9 months old. Rue would not be the well behaved, potty trained pup that she is without Hiral. We and Rue will miss you Hiral! Good luck with your future endeavors! Thanks again!”

“Thalia is a great cat sitter! She is punctual, has great communication skills, left great notes and photos, and followed my directions perfectly. I will definitely request her services again!”

“Mike was communicative, adherent to our schedule, and followed all instructions requested of him. He also sent a ton of pictures, which I really appreciated. It was refreshing to just be able to enjoy my trip knowing that my dog was taken care of. I would absolutely recommend him to others (just not during the times I’m away 😉)”

About: Living in New Brunswick with some friends. I have cats but I'm not allowed dogs in our house. Growing up with dogs it's hard to be away from them. Taking care of someone else's pets would be a pleasure and would brighten my day. I walk to work everyday and live outside Rutgers campuses and near some beautiful parks, giving me tons of places to bring your dogs and the stamina to keep up with them on long walks. My oldest dog back home is a big pitbull, so big dogs are right up my alley, and both my dogs can get quite rowdy so I know how to handle animals when they get out of control. I'm currentky working at later in the day and at night so I'm available during the day. I ride my bike or walk to appointments so I'm looking for clients in New Brunswick and Highland Park. I enjoy going on quiet walks in places without too much hustle and bustle. If your pet gets overwhelmed in rowdy environments, you can count on me to give the a calm yet playful day.
About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, bunnies (especially Holland Lops!), and even small rodents like hamsters and guinea pigs. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and your pet will be treated just like one of the family while they’re with me. I have a fully fenced-in yard and a cozy home filled with love—and four wonderful, respectful kids who are just as excited to welcome your furry friend as I am. We believe in gentle hands, lots of attention, and keeping routines as close to home as possible. I also have: • A well-behaved, fixed dog with a calm temperament who gets along well with others • An extra crate and room to accommodate different needs • A work-from-home schedule, so I’m home most of the day for supervision, cuddles, and potty breaks • A love for long neighborhood walks—perfect for active pups who enjoy fresh air and exercise Whether your pet needs space to play, snuggles on the couch, or just someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’m here to provide a safe, loving environment. Boutique, In-Home Style Care 🐾 I’m a low-volume sitter by choice because I believe pets thrive best in an environment that closely mirrors their own home. Your fur baby won’t be one of many — I only board one family at a time, ensuring individualized attention, consistency, and calm. There’s no crating all day or night here (unless that’s part of your pet’s normal routine). Pets are treated like family — lounging comfortably, following familiar schedules, and receiving the same level of care, affection, and structure they’re used to at home. If you’re looking for a peaceful, home-style experience where your pet receives truly personalized care rather than a kennel setting, you’re in the right place. 💛 I’d love to meet your pet and answer any questions you have. Let’s chat and see if we’re a good fit! I work remotely, so I’m home all day long! Evenings may be busy with ubering my kids around, but your babies will be kept in a safe and clean environment if I’m gone for a short time. I have a fenced in yard, for the dogs to play. My kids are well versed in pet safety, regarding doors and gates. And I have two separate areas of the house your babies are free to roam that are away from outside access doors. When boarding, please bring all supplies. Food, treats, toys. Animals away from home may be confused. Bedding, smells from home are comforting! I do have litter boxes, but do not store litter, as cats have different preferences. Please bring enough litter for your stay.

“We back home! Very glad we found Stefani! We felt care about our two cats. Stefani sent us pictures every feeding time. Next time will decide to go somewhere will ask her again. She is responsible and kind! Thank you Stefani from me and my husband.”

This was our first time working with Maya, and she was fantastic! She was so attentive to our cats and kept us updated throughout the whole trip, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time away. Great communication from start to finish! you can tell she really cares. We’ll definitely be booking her again!

This is our second time doing a pretty extensive request with Yan, multiple stops a day for various days, and just like last time I really enjoyed having Yan as our sitter! Jack has warmed up to her, she has good communication, and I look forward to the next time she can dog sit for us!

Gary took such great care of my animals. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs so there’s a lot to do and remember. He took the time to get to know all of them and their routines. It makes going away much easier knowing they are being taken care of so well. I will definitely use Gary again and highly recommend him for anyone looking for pet care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
