About: Greyhound lady with over a decade training and caring for dogs, including certifying two rescued racetrack greyhounds as therapy dogs through Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs. I've cared for five rescue dogs over the years — four greyhounds and a pug mix — handling everything from puppy adjustment to senior care, including medications, mobility needs, and end-of-life support. I use calm, positive-reinforcement handling and I'm skilled at reading a dog's stress or comfort level in real time, so walks stay relaxed and enjoyable. I'm also experienced with nervous or reactive dogs, having safely de-escalated an unleashed dog confrontation while working a mail route. My own dog takes 1.5 hours walk per day. We love Donaldson Park and the Highland Park Meadows, Johnson Park, Cheesequake and Morristown National Park for treats. Safety comes first on every walk. I read each dog's body language and comfort level before we even leave the door, and I adjust pace, route, or duration accordingly — a skill I built training two rescued greyhounds as certified therapy dogs. I stay alert to hazards like other loose animals, traffic, and extreme heat, and I know how to calmly de-escalate a tense situation if one arises. I treat every pet with the same patience and care I give my own rescue dogs, and I communicate clearly with owners before and after each walk so they always know how their pet is doing.

While a sophomore in high school, I began working at a dog daycare called Pups@Play Montclair. That job gave me invaluable knowledge of dog behavior and relationship dynamics. I learned the intricacies of their behavior, body language, personality, whether they were high energy or low energy, active or reactive, etc. I used that to diffuse many doggy disputes. I worked with and managed 50+ dogs everyday. Daschunds, puppies, mutts, great danes, shepherds, samoyeds, bulldogs, pitbulls, hairless, everything. I can handle any dog I meet. You can trust me to handle your dog with care, happiness, love, understanding, and patience. I am fit and ready to play! Dogs hold such a special place in my heart and I can't wait to meet yours! I am a student at Rutgers New Brunswick and my schedule currently has me free after 5pm on weekdays and any time after 9am on weekends. I can potentially be available if there is a special circumstance but that is by no means a guarantee. I do not currently offer boarding services. I’ve been a proud owner of Maple for the past 8 years. She is a very nervous and fear-reactive Australian Cattle Dog/Jack Russell rescue, and over the years I’ve worked closely with her to help her feel more comfortable and confident. That has included training, medication, patience, and plenty of high-value treats! Living with Maple has taught me how important it is to understand a pet’s individual needs, recognize their body language and comfort levels, and never rush them into situations they aren’t ready for. I’m comfortable giving pets the time, space, and reassurance they need to feel safe and cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of one-on-one attention. I’m generally available for visits between 6–11 AM on weekdays, as well as most hours on weekends. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and can accommodate regular visits or occasional drop-ins. I’m also comfortable administering medications when needed, whether that means a pill hidden in a high-value treat or following specific instructions from you. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible while you’re away. When caring for a pet in their home, my first priority is making sure they feel safe and comfortable in their own space. I follow your instructions closely and do my best to keep their normal routine consistent—from feeding and walks to medications, playtime, and quiet time. I’m especially mindful of doors, gates, leashes, and other potential escape routes, and I never assume a pet is comfortable with something just because another pet might be. My experience with Maple, my nervous and fear-reactive rescue, has taught me to be patient, observant, and proactive. I understand that building trust can take time, and I would much rather give a pet the space they need than push them beyond their comfort zone. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 13. I currently have a mini goldeen doodle who I have trained myself! He loves all his furry friends and loves giving kisses as well! I currently work from home so I have lots of time to spend with any pup and take on potty breaks! We also get in some nap time as well! For day care I am available from 7am to 7pm! If you need any extra hours I can make arrangements with an extra fee! I have a decently sized apartment that has lots of room to play. Hulk loves to share all his toys and play with his furry friends! I have a gated area for my kitchen as well!

About: Hello - I'm Abbie. I have recently left the corporate world to pursue my graduate degree full time and reside in Cranford, NJ. I am a proud dog mom to one doggie - Kai - who absolutely adores other dogs. He uses Rover too when I am away! I have been taking care of animals since I could remember! Growing up in an animal lover household, I have had birds, turtles, bunnies, cats, and dogs. I got my first pet when I was 5 years old; a bunny named Chocolate. I am sadly away from my animals in my home. At my family home, I have a yorkie named Dexter and many silkie chickens; Dobby, Tori, and Sunshine just to name a few! Throughout my undergrad, I also lived with my roommate's Aussie named Asher whom I bathed, walked, and played lots of fetch with. I started house sitting when I was in high school for my neighbors and family-friends on vacations/weekends. I trained my dog Dexter on my own when I was 15 years old and am used to bringing him on daily walks! I am happy to walk, bathe, cuddle, and feed your pet along with any other services you would need. I have a strong love for all animals big and small and will treat them like my own (and so will Kai) Since I am a graduate student, my schedule is very fluid. I have classes in the evenings mostly and my weekends are quite free. Since I have a dog of my own, I am already up around 7-8AM for morning walks a food. I walk my dog at least 1 hour a day - one long walk during lunch time and another in the evening after dinner. I rent a home with an unfenced yard. I already take Kai on 2-3 walks a day. I will be able to walk your furry friend as well!

About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs all my life, big and small, so I’ve had experience feeding, cleaning up after, and taking care of animals for a while. I began with taking care of dogs around my neighborhood, and eventually got a job at an overnight dog daycare. The job gave me more experience in taking care of and interacting with dogs, as well as feeding, grooming, and reading the body languages of dogs whether they were independent or in a group setting. I also used to volunteer on a farm, so I have experience with other species of animals as well! I am currently a student at Rutgers University with a class schedule. My availability is as follows, MONDAY- 12pm to 3 or 6pm- all night TUESDAY- 12pm- all night WEDNESDAY- 7 am- 3pm or 6pm- all night THURSDAY- 2 pm- all night FRIDAY- 12pm- all night SATURDAY AND SUNDAY- anytime I’m always very adamant of respecting the boundaries of animals, and I’m good at reading their body language. I try to create a calming and stress free environment, making sure I introduce myself and establish a comfortable relationship with them. I understand that being away from family can be stressful for pets, so I try to make them as happy and relaxed as possible and treat them as if they were my own.

My house has two separate floors. So i can accommodate pets separately if needed Caring for pets is part of my everyday life. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, and I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable home with a fenced backyard for dogs to play. I work full-time during the week, but I am available before and after work, and I have flexible availability on weekends. I always make time for walks, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention they deserve. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can feel at home. I follow each pet's regular routine, including feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. About: I have always had a dog in my life for 20 years, and it makes me so happy! I love meeting new dogs and being able to play and care for them. I am currently a full time college student! Due to schooling, I can do any walks from 9am-12:30pm everyday, and from 4pm-10pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6pm-10pm Tuesdays and Thursday, with open availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays! They need just as much love and have begun to be interested in fostering senior dogs quite soon. I work at a school so I have open availability for this summer. I’ll be able to pay attention and play with them during the day and do walks. Free on the weekend to go to the park and such. I am in a townhouse so no fenced in space but I’m in a very accessible town that’s very walkable. Sidewalks and dog parks all very close.
