“Alyssa was amazing with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Moose! We did a meet & greet first to make sure he wasn't too big for them to walk, at 102 lbs it can be intimidating, but it went great. They sent wonderful photos and updates during every walk, which gave me total peace of mind. Moose was so happy and tired after. I'll definitely book again!”

About: I've taken care of dogs of all sizes and a variety of other animals since I was a teenager. I love every animal and I'm comfortable administering medications and working with senior animals I'm off for the summer from college, so I'm free all summer to take care of animals! I can walk or care for animals any time of day I am able to spend any amount of time with animals that they need, providing playtime and attention, and I will walk them at any time!

About: I’ve grown up walking, feeding, cleaning up after, and caring for my 2 big dogs and 2 cats. It became my favorite part of my days, and I want to extend this love to more animals! I’m a university student whose currently home for the summer, and have a lot of flexibility for weekdays and weekends, excluding Mondays & Tuesday’s from 3-6! I don’t provide services within my own residence but can help with any care within one’s home: walking, feeding, cleaning up after, general pet-sitting, or just one-on-one dog/cat time!
“Was the first time we used rover and didnt wanna leave our baby girl alone while we ate dinner so we decided to book with him. He was able to get our pup walked with a quick booking process and had great communication the whole time.”

About: We had a family pup for 18+ years. The sweetest Maltese ever. She was our perfect girl. Learned to appreciate senior dogs. They need just as much love and have begun to be interested in fostering senior dogs quite soon. I work at a school so I have open availability for this summer. I’ll be able to pay attention and play with them during the day and do walks. Free on the weekend to go to the park and such. I am in a townhouse so no fenced in space but I’m in a very accessible town that’s very walkable. Sidewalks and dog parks all very close.

About: I've taken care of pets for friends and relatives numerous times in the past. Now looking to do the same on here and get paid for what I'm good at. I used to have a cat of my own so they're my specialty, but I do good with dogs too. I'm always available, so hit me up whenever you need and we'll work out times and such. Going on vacation? Sudden family plans? I got you covered. I don't offer boarding since my relatives aren't cool with it, but I can easily come to you just fine. All I need to know is when to walk the dog, when to change litter for the cats, that sort of thing.
“Alyssa was so quick to respond, meet and take on a quick turnaround walk. She did such a great job with my older pup that has quite a bit of particular needs lol. She was still tired from their little walk the next morning! Def recommend”

“I can’t say enough good things about Shannon- such an amazing person who went above and beyond to care for our silly boy Leo during a last minute need. I’m a veterinarian and I have a lot of specific needs, but she stepped in and cared for our boy just as her own—even better than I could have asked for. You would be lucky to have her looking after your pet! Thank you for everything, Shannon!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Highland Park
Jon is the absolute best! He was great with my big Akita puppy. He knew how to handle a big doggy and how to help a puppy be comfortable. He went above and beyond to make sure Rocko was well-taken care of. I was able to feel at ease knowing Rocko was in good hands. I would 100% recommend Jon and will definitely be a returning client! Thank you Jon!

I can’t say enough good things about Shannon- such an amazing person who went above and beyond to care for our silly boy Leo during a last minute need. I’m a veterinarian and I have a lot of specific needs, but she stepped in and cared for our boy just as her own—even better than I could have asked for. You would be lucky to have her looking after your pet! Thank you for everything, Shannon!!

I cannot say enough good things about Ari! This was my first time using a dog-walking app and having someone other than me care for my dogs, so I was definitely a little nervous. But from the very start, Ari made everything feel so easy and stress-free. I was home the first day to see how my dogs would respond, and they immediately took to her. The next four days, she handled everything on her own—and did it perfectly. She followed every instruction carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and paid close attention to the little details (like removing their harnesses afterward without being asked—something I really appreciated!). The daily updates with photos and notes were such a comfort while I was away. My dogs were clearly in great hands, and it showed. She even brought in a package from my mail lady for me while I was gone—above and beyond in every way. Ari is a literal sweetheart, professional, reliable, and just amazing with my 2 dogs. I’ve 100% found my person—no need to look elsewhere. I’ll definitely be booking her again and again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
